Photo of bracket for G-Sensor ?
kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
It's actually 2 parts i had to make. 1. Adapter plate for the Do-Luck G-Force Sensor (3D printed). I found that the do-luck sensor was already using 3d printed components so i just removed the 4 screws that holds on the bottom part and created a larger plate to screw into the 2nd bracket. 2. Sheet metal plate that 14gauge mild steel, that bolts onto the 2 studs that the factory G-force sensor bolts onto. And yes, absolutely, the sheet metal plate is just a .dxf file that you can share with any sheet metal manufacturer and they will be able to re-create it for you. And the 3D printed file for the g-force sensor to mount is just a standard .STL file that you can load on any 3D printer. Let me know if anyone wants them, i can share it with them. keep in mind it's specific to the Do-Luck but at this point i can adjust it to accommodate anything. -

Thanks again @Duncan i was able to 3D scan the interior section and I made a custom bracket and 3d printed a custom peice to mount to the bracket. Without your photo for reference, i wouldn't have been able to do it. Thanks. -
I have a 1989 R32 GTR, with mainly stock HP and stock engine with stock 5 speed manual. My AWD is not working atm so its only RWD. I have a short throw shifter, but the transmission gets extremely hot. I did some reading and found that this is "normal". I'm just wondering, there is no way that these cars came from the factory and it was normal for the transmission to get really hot and transfer the heat to the gear shifter, to the center console trim panels and radiate heat on my legs...

Installing a Lift in the Garage, will this type of lift work?
kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in General Maintenance
I just looked up a powerbuilt u-jack, in theory that seems like a great tool cause it'll save you time and hassle of having to put the jackstand on. Why do you say its bad? -

Installing a Lift in the Garage, will this type of lift work?
kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in General Maintenance
I went under the car last night and realized that my pinch welds/sills are completely f**ked. They are all bent and folded over. Can i still use those points? just the metal area next to the pinch welds? And can those pinch welds be fixed by bending them back? -

i'm assuming that everytime you jack up your car, you always use the pinch welds to support it? I keep seeing posts saying to use the subframe, etc, etc. -
Clunking Noise when I'm shifting
kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
How would you diagnose this? I'm assuming put the car on jack stands? And how big of a job is it to replace the diff bushes? -
Does anyone have a photo of the bracket that holds the G-Force Sensor? When i got the car, i found that the g-force sensor was removed completely and only the 2 wire harness were there. I purchased a new digital g-sensor but then realized that it mounts on a bracket but i have no idea what this looks like. If anyone has a photo of it that would be really helpful for me to design a new bracket

Installing a Lift in the Garage, will this type of lift work?
kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in General Maintenance
Have you encoutered situations where you need to get to the car from the side to access the rear subframe mount? Would you be able to drop a transmission and replace the clutch or anything? And do these look like the right kind of rubber blocks? that would work with a jackstand for the pinch welds? or -
Recently, i noticed there is a clunking noise when i shift gears. It dosent matter which gear, but unless i match the revs perfectly, there is a clunk sound coming from the rear. For example, when i shift from 1 to 2, if i dont feather the throttle to match the revs perfectly, there is a clunk noise. What could this be? It didn't do this before.

Are the rubber blocks specific to the R32 GTR? or are they generic ones that i can purchase anywhere? Could i theoritically do the same with a a hydraulic floor jack? -
Planning on getting a lift installed in the garage. These seem like a good option. Low profile and out of the way. Will this be suitable for the R32 GTR? I know the jacking points on this car is a pain in the ass, but i dont know how this type would work with the car since everyone says not to use the pinch welds.

I found the washer, it fell on top of the intake manifold. It was hiding in a corner lol. Thank you man. -

kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
is there supposed to be a washer? mine does not have one. -
What gauge setups are you guys running? Can't decide if i want to get multiple gauges fitted onto the dash or the A pillar vs getting the Haltech ic7 digital display. Curious to see what direction you guys went with. Post your pics!

Coolant leaking on top of intake manifold??
kevboost7 replied to kevboost7's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Let says that the o-rings went bad on the balance tube, would i be able to replace those without having to remove the intake plenum? Dear god i hope i dont have to do that job again. I just did it a week ago... -

That last picture wasn't mine. I found it on google. When you are referring to the intake manifold, are you referring to the balance tube right on top of it?
