  1. Just an update ... Put the cat back on no issues with the car running wise ... maybe alittle longer to spoil up the turbo. Still running rich but waiting for my tuner to come back into town to retify the situation. WOT runs fine with the cat.
  2. Hi, Where does everyone buy their stock GTR R32 replacement parts from in Japan preferably? I usually order alot from RHD Japan but sometimes they dont have what I need. Whats the best website for parts in Japan ... as I live in Hong Kong so best ordering from there. Thanks
  3. Yeah very valid point. I am waiting for one of the other tuners to come back from vacation so he can help me a bit when the cat is installed again. In the meantime I am going to finish up my polishing and ceramic coating that I have started myself. N45 Dr Beasley product is highly recommended for a paint primer / polisher. Using this EXO Gtechniq also for the ceramic but next time might use the light serum before hand also. Looks great.

  5. Hi all, so don’t get to get under my gtr much in Hong Kong. Used to get under my cars all the time in the states. anyway my garage took out my hks silent hi low cat and was wondering does it just bolt back into the system with new gaskets? I’m guessing yes. Photo attached. Thanks
  6. Yeah its tuned relatively conservatively being dynoed at 525hp with every bolt on and top end of the motor built wtih HKS vcam and springs etc.
  7. I’m running links ecu and an upgraded crank sensor. So I guess I have less chance of this.
  8. So you’re saying pretty safe to put back on the high flow. I guess I will lose alittle horse power which is fine. Never heard of timing scatter? My idle has been an issue running rich since I put on a custom intake with smaller pipings so not sure how it will react to the high flow cat also - would add some more back pressure to the system no? Thanks
  9. Problem with putting them back on my ignition timing with the tune might get screwed up. What u think?
  10. Not sure I will have much paint left if I do that … I am going to do my mirrors shortly with some n45 primer from dr beasley then ceramic coat them. The rear has been ceramic coated already after the paint. going to put the high flow back on but just need a tuner to help me and mine is out of town for the next two months or more. Just worried about the ignition timing.
  11. lol no cats running str pipes … might put the high flow back on but I suspect it might effect my ignition timing a bit.

  18. Here’s the updated and installed muse replica nismo ones … very happy with the outcome. Eventhough I painted my whole rear end due to my rich idle lol.
  19. Hi All, So my paint shop said that I cant use normal wax (Megauir gold) on the original water based paint on my R32 GTR. As its an original paint. They are saying that it is not suitable and makes the paint misty looking. I have polished the car in the past and it looks show level. My question is what does everyone use and if I can just use a simple Meguairs Gold Wash and then a GTec EXO coating - Ceramic serum coating. Or what does everyone recommend otherwise? Side note I just had to respray the rear bumper which is not original paint now due to installing new Muse spats. They have fuel stain ... what does everyone use to put on the rear bumper to protect the paint better from the fuel staining? Thanks
  20. No I got mine from a friend that had fabricated one … but I had to fit it to my setup which was a hks turbo setup. His was a Garrett -7. So one of my turbos was not a flange for one side … then I had a leak in the welds I had to find a weld shut … in the end the setup was decent priced but I spent a lot to get it fitted. A couple companies I checked would make it but you’re talking 7-9k aud with titanium. No joke mine was 6-7k even second hand after I had to fit it in Hong Kong … labour is expensive here.
  21. My fourth gear is not perfect but I hard shifted it into fourth from fifth and its shifting better now. Not bothering me atleast. I think the cheapest option is to replace the whole transmission for a R33 heritage one for like 1500 USD not including the shipping. Thats what I was going to do but its not bothering me anymore. What is bothering me is my idle is weak now after I change my intake to a smaller one so I need a tune again - loves to stall in reverse and when the aircon is on lol ... Love these older cars. WOT is strong though.

  23. Hi all, I’m currently running a str pipe hi low hks exhaust and downpipe. Was wondering if I change out muffler to a titanium one will it change the sound of the exhaust? Plus I have always liked the look of the titanium pipes … anyone have recommendations to one? side note already have titanium intake pipes.

  25. Hi Luke. Yeah I actually ordered a set of muse ones from highintakeperformance. They are delivering them to me this weekend after 3 months. I think they are replicas of the nismo ones in a different material if I am not mistaken.
