  1. Hello all, If anyone was following my previous build thread I had an R34 GTT [FR34K] that I wrote off. I decided it was probably my only chance to get into the GTR scene. After searching for a while I found a member on here selling a beautiful white R33 GTR V-spec with an N1 engine. My goals for this car are just to be a weekend cruiser, occasionally heading down to the drags to see what it can do. If I could run a 10 second pass on the H pattern gearbox I would be exstatic, and I think somewhere in the vicinity of 800awhp would be more than enough as a max power figure. Car already has -7 turbos, poncams and a power FC with supporting mods, making a respectable 420awhp. It has HKS coilovers, Project mu rotors and gold BBS rims, with a lovely Jun style carbon lip. Immediate thoughts of this car (coming from a 485whp GTT) are: it's really fast. The GT35R on my R34, although made nice power, was quite laggy in comparison to the -7s. They feel like they have no lag, and the car doesn't have any problems whatsoever putting the power to the ground. I find myself looking down at the speedo after planting my foot and being blown away about how fast I'm going. The gear ratios help play a part in that as well, although aggressive, are still fantastic when just cruising. The suspension is very stiff - too stiff for me (it's something I will be changing very soon) but it handles superbly. After landing in WA, I took the car to a licencing centre to get it inspected. The list consisted of some minor things like globes and removing of tint. Nothing major - the hardest thing was child restraints which I borrowed out of a wrecked r33. Yesterday I passed my final inspection and picked up my custom plates.

    The N1 Thanks to SAU.NSW, JLM, Iron Chef for a remarkable journey into N1s. These I expect, will be displayed at the request of SAU.NSW at the GT-R Festival in June. Thanks to Andrew Le who captured this shot + the great photographers who've taken further shots below. And thanks to Lucas Davidson, Brad McKernan and Mark Dodd for 'pulling teeth' to gain the information about N1s and not just count on Wiki or Gorodji references for the truth.

  10. Kakimoto exhaust Regu06 or Mega N1? I'm looking into the kakimoto exhaust systems and before we continue any further, yes I've searched. I'm spilt between the Regu06 or the N1 for my R34 GTT. What I would like to know is: -Which one is louder? Any dB readings? I've read that the Mega N1 is loud but it looks like most prefer the Regu06. -What are the differences between the two? Besides stainless steel construction. Basically, why did you get a Regu06 over an N1 or vice versa? Ive read some people say the newer models have silencers welded in the muffler while others say theirs never had one. Can anyone confirm this?

  12. R34 N1 turbo identification and A/R difference Hi Guys. I've bought a set of what I think are -7 Turbos, which I assume are R34 N1's, but I have found there appears to be 3 variations of the Nissan part number, if the documents I am looking at are correct, the A/R's differ, but I would have thought it was exactly the same Turbo, and similar performance to GT-SS Turbos. 14411-AA401 14411-AA402 14411-AA403 This is the document i'm reading, it also apparently shows the AA403's have a GT22 compressor housing and not a T3 : http://www.readbag.com/psiparts-au-downloads-gtr-turbo-comparison Looking at specs, all appear to be the same except the AA403 which apparently has a 0.42 A/R, where as the rest have 0.6 compressor AR's, I'm wondering how can this be if they are all apparently the same. Having a look at my compressor, The A/R is 0.42. Rear wheel definitely appears to be steel. I just want to know if I got the real deal here, pretty sure it would be ball bearing. Here is what my Tag says 14411-AA403 707160-7 there is very small charachters on the tap that say something like "Red Signal" on it, I can only make out the "Signal" The question is are these R34 N1 Turbos and will they respond and have a top power similar to GT-SS? I am just wondering how the A/R of 0.42 is going to make the turbo perform different to a 0.6 Compressor A/R Just trying to do some research people appear to say this is the last rendition of the R34 N1 turbo and they changed the A/R for some reason. I had thought -7 turbos should be -7's but now there appears to be a difference. Thanks.
  13. Can I use stock cams in an N1 block? Gentlemen and ladies I have an RB26 N1 block and I have stripped down my stock RB26 block. I would like to build this block as an N1 engine. I am getting my crank blue printed. N1 oil pump and N1 water pump. Are the N1 cams the same as the stock ones? i read this on this site.   15. Hi all, I am from UK and recently purchased a R32 GTR N1 from Japan and due to be with me in 2 days time. I am very excited as I sold my last 32 GTR 10 years ago and now I am back with a GTR that I love. I will keep updating this thread as I am planning to drive the car and not just a garage ornament! I have bought lot of new OEM parts to refresh the car such as new carpets etc. Herewith few photos in Japan
  16. Location: Perth, W.A. Price: $125,000. Genuine BNR34 GTR V-Spec N1 for sale. Current mileage shows approx. 17700km. The chassis numbers were run through Nissan confirming genuine N1. The N1 block is stamped 24U, It has a larger factory oil cooler, no air-conditioning, black side mirrors, no stereo and no rear wiper arm. The standard size wheels with the car were BBS RG-R in Diamond Black, which from what we can tell may have been an alternative factory option, considering also that BBS made the standard BNR34 GTR wheels. Log books are present and maintained, and current registration is until September 15. The car has the following modifications: -Nismo 320km.h dash, -Nismo expanded MFD, -Nismo Weldina Exhaust - cat. back, -Nismo G-Attack R-Tune coilovers, -Nismo Circuit Links and Stabilizer kits, and -Nismo Nismo R-Tune Brake Pads. -Nismo full intake piping kit, -Nismo Intake Plennum, -Nismo Fuel Pump, -Nismo Fuel Regulator, -Nismo Oil/Air separator, -Nismo Super Coppermix twin plate clutch, -Nismo Smoke Indicators (still have std.), -Nismo duracon gear shift knob (also, still have std.), and -Nismo floor mats. Non-factory fitment: -Falken ZE912 @85-90%, -Cusco adjustable rear uppers (to fix camber after reducing ride height with coilovers), -Cartracks Alarm/vehicle tracking system, -Window tint, legal, and -Odyssey PC680 AGM Battery. For me, the car has been a weekender and as a result I have been able to take every opportunity to avoid driving in the rain, however, it was of course driven as such a couple of times. Servicing was predominantly undertaken by Fabcar in Perth, and by myself. Lubricants sourced from Japan and stuck with Nismo Competition Oil by Motul and i've stuck exclusively with BP 98 octane fuel. There is absolutely no evidence I have found of any accident damage, and she has certainly been safe in my hands. Only a couple of imperfections on her. There's a couple of tiny scratches. One on the rear near the boot key, one on the rocker cover and some scratches on the plastic rear diffuser vanes. Pedals, gear shift boot and seats are all in perfect condition.   19. Hi Guys, Up for sale is an Apexi N1 stainless cat back to suit BNR34. Its a 3.5" system from the centre muffler back to the cannon and steps down to 3" from the centre muffler forward so the cat can bolt on. Only selling as I went a bigger exhaust otherwise would have kept it. Was enough to flow to 420awkw with a 3.5" dump previously. Its pretty decent at idle and really opens up when you give it some revs. Condition is pretty good its dirty from being under the car but no dents just a few scrapes on the centre muffler. Price is $700 ONO. Pickup preferred over post given the size but may post at buyers expense. Item is located in Rouse Hill, NSW, 2155 and my number is 0403858714. Thanks, Brett

  23. Hi guys, Another group of parts, other post would have been too long. A few more parts that I was planning to use but have gone another way with. All items located in Brisbane. Photos will be posted below the list. 1. R33 GTR Front Bar with Lip and N1 Slots Comment: In good condition. The bar, lip and n1 slots are genuine plastic. The lip is in the best condition i've seen one in, has scrape marks and scratches etc. The bar unfortunately has had someone try to fit it on an R32 GTR ( X_X ). So the side mounting points have been cut a bit and also a hinge and bolt attached on the centre(Has caused a small crack). In the picture, there is one part of the bar that looks like has had plastic/silicon used and the bolted together. Considering the n1 slots and excellent condition front lip, i'm chasing: Price: $600 ono - Postage i'm unsure on, happy to assist. *Not willing to split unless I have buyers for each part or theres a generous offer from someone out there. 2. R33 GTR Airbox + Snorkel Comment: In pretty good condition, most of it is intact there is one missing metal clip, but it holds together fine with the remainders. No filter, cheap from autobarn/supercheap. Price: $250 + Post 3. R33 GTS-T, GTS 3" Jasma approved catback Comment: In pretty good condition, has been sitting outside for a bit, so may have scratches and marks from moving. I am unsure if this will fit a R33 GTR, I was told R33 GTST. This is JASMA approved, so I believe is below the legal DB limit Price: $450 + Post 4. R32 Nismo Lemans (?) Turbos - Has 0.60 on Front and Not 0.42 Condition: 14411-06U00 is the part number on both. I have had these stored for a long time, never used them.   25. im looking into upgrading my r33 turbos to the nismo n1 kit (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbo-N1-Upgrade-Kit-R32-R33-GTR-RB26-RB26DETT-NISMO-/120514498456) link to N1 turbos on ebay. if i do get this kit will it be safe to put in my gtr i dont have a N1 block will this matter.
