  2. OK OK OK FOR ALL THE NEWBIES OUT THERE THIS IS IN NO WAY SAYING YOUR ALL DUMB ASS's ok.. r32 r33 r34 standard turbos ARE ALL BUSH BEARING with a CERAMIC EXHAUST WHEEL and also from memory.. a vg30 turbo is bush bearing aswell any other info feel free to ask Wazz
  3. Those rear rims still available? (17x11's) and i assume they are the white ones out of the pics.. 500 shipped to cairns? and also wat offset are they?
  4. the other thing is weather the afm can actualy withstand the boost.. alot of the vl guys do it... i wouldnt do it but meh.. thats just me Wazz
  5. I had the same sorta problem when chasing a 4inch straight thru muffler exhaust shops wanted shitloads and it was goin to be custom anyway and i always got the 100 questions.. wats it on wat engines it got blah blah blah im making it myself but yer.. havent finished making the muffler yet hopefully should do allright.. im just using fiberglass packing they you can buy from the motorbike shops for about 7 bux for a bag of it Wazz
  6. care to supply proof of a black intercooler is better?
  7. GTRS's on gtr's are capable of much more than 300awkw. how ever were talking about just a single turbo kit.. the disco potato is a GT28rs rated between 320 and 350 from memory and they are a excellant turbo for a sr20 for response from memory there was someone of the forum makeing 270rwkw in a 33 gtst with a hks gtrs and suitable mods to go with it Wazz
  8. allrighty.. tomei make pistons for rb20's how ever fordged rods are a custom item.. no one that i know of has them off the self.. aria's and wiseco should have off the shelf pistons for them aswell Give stick at prospool a ring for a price on a set of pistons on 0418776066 maybe even give him a ring today from about 930am he should be around if not just try on monday Wazz
  9. just hook it up to a vacume line of any sort.. just a tpiece in a vacume line for instance were your standard BOV any vacume line coming of the plenum will do
  10. gotta remember the rb25de out of the r32 doesnt have the standard vct like the rb25det out of the r33's tho so im not sure how the stock rb25 computer would go with it all.. also out of curiousity how much did the conversion cost you? as a drive in drive out package from the workshop or did you do some of the work yourself
  11. you might want to take that back moron.. sure some silvia owners are stingy bastards but you gotta remember were not all like that im also sure there are skyline owners just as stingy out there aswell asswipe Wazz
  12. ok ok ok i see were your coming from with this.. how ever i own a rb26 s13.. im 19.. on my P's ANY insurance company wants at the absolute minimum of 9 grand to insure my car with full comp insurance let along the excess when worked out if i have any crash at all i have to fork out another 4500.. in my case... i just pay the 600 bux a year for 3rd party fire n theft but with me saying that.. each year i put aside between 4 to 6 grand a year in an seperate account so also.. gain interest on it and i dont touch it unless i have a crash if i have a crash i have up to 6 grand to go out and buy a nother cheap non turbo silvia which i can than transfer all my goodies into it with out any hassles.. now would you rather pay that 10 grand a year for full comprehensive.. or do things the way i do them now? i rather do things the way i do now.. for simple fact.. if i dont crash the thing in a year i keep my 9+ grand how ever for a skyline.. not to sure on pricing and stuff for a cheap non turbo one that you can than dump all your shit onto.. but yer anyway my 2cents Wazz
  13. you'd prolly find he'd go better launching hard in first as long as you can change gears well enough.. launching in second gear hard would just put way to much stress on everything in my opinion Wazz
  14. i cant believe you guys are comparing a non turbo car to a turbo car.. i've driven a sr20de silvia.. a sr20det silvia.. a rb20det silvia, a r33 gtst and a r32 gtst in my opinion a well setup skyline is like a boat compared to a well setup s13 for handling in any way sure a r33 handles better than my s13 how ever mines not setup for handling how ever.. my mates 180 is and it absolutely destroys me thru tight weavy turns but as for comparing a NON TURBO silvia to a turbo skyline.. thats just f**king stupid Wazz
  15. im not entirely up with all this 28 76r stuff and all the new garrett model numbers and stuff how ever i know a bloke with a rb20 running a bb Gt25 440hp .7 comp cover .86 ex turbo is extremely laggy.. not the best combo at all best hp figure was 320rwhp turbo doesnt generaly hit full boost untill about 4500rpm or more.. and that power was made running big boost 25psi roughly but yer the turbo would be suited more for a rb25 but even than.. i still wouldnt run one as there are much better options out there Wazz
  16. horizontal flow radiators do cool better.. but really when you think of it.. i'd rather keep the factory one for street use.. most of the cores in all the alloy radiators tend to be the same design with the tubes as each other.. (i work in radiator shop sadly(might not be for much longer(shitwork))) so yer if your having over heating problems think about it it might not be your radiator.. could be your thermostat or clutch fan if your after bling and do some track work than yer go ahead get an thick alloy one for general street use a standard one is more than ample except for when you've got one hell of a thick intercooler sittin in front which the air is struggling to flow thru that let alone your condensor than radiator
  17. were did the engine sit after the crash and how bad was the crash was it still driveable?
  18. regardless if it sucks fully closed or not it is still a restriction.. me and a few other mates have done comparisions between stock rubber hose and a solid mandrel bent pipe and picked up a car length or 2 (wasnt exactly done on the strip (private road.. apprently)) but the car we tested agains ran consisant times due to being auto and before and after was 3 out of 3 for each so you do pick up a little bit from it Wazz
  19. i run a customised extreme clutch 5 puck sprung center rated up to 500+hp from memory.. 750 bux for the complete kit
  20. ok ok ok a mate bolted a rb20det head onto a rb30 bottom end in a r31 skyline.. (old shitter just for a joke) the head will bolt straight on how ever the compression ratio worked out to be between 11.5:1 and 12:1 not exactly good for turbo application.. sure excellant response made 12psi by 1800rpm from memory with standard turbo that motor is now dead.. but it was worth it for the time that it lasted and it did a great skid lol Wazz
  21. i'd be putting a bigger intercooler in.. fmic kits are getting cheaper nowadays it would be well worth your doin and you will notice more top end on the street so yer stock intercoolers are that small it isnt funny..
  22. ok.. was discussin this with a mate the other night.. use the wyns flush stuff let it idle for 10 minutes turn off and usual change oil and filter a mate put it in and left it in for a couple days the engine devoloped a massive knock and overheated pretty bad (240 farrenheight dunno wat that is in celcuis) that was in a old 308 thats been cained constantly for 8 years since it was built when the oil was dumped it was like water.. not good so yer if you wanna do it let it idle for 10 minutes with the stuff in it than drop it change filter and put new oil in Wazz
  23. Exhaust from standard dump pipes back <<=== dont be stingy.. put some dump pipes on the f*kn thing.. you'll notice a massive difference
