  1. PRICE DROP $5000.00 for a perfect cond RB26dett compete
  2. I know cant fatham the lack of intrest either when the ecu alone is worth 4K installed and tuned the wheels 2.5k and the turbo intercooler set up around 3k and thats without the engine build wich has done only around 5000 klm's the paint and the car itself go figure
  3. Sorry mate do not want to seperate engine and if i do end up seperating it i would be selling the head complete.
  4. Surely some one if after an rb26dett what more could you want than to be able to inspect the engine you are going to buy running in the car and be able to perform all precationary tests to make sure you are getting a good one.
  5. 6. Thanks mate i cant believe the lack of intrest in the car is a bargain at this price surely some one will snap it up
  7. The weight difference is really not an issue as the wheelbase suspension geometry and the diffent speed of the attesa makes most of the diffence between the models hence the different driving styles . As far as the weight is concerned it may not be that much different if aftermarket wheels have been fitted light or heavy and if stereo equipment ect a standard 33GTR would be the same weight or lighter than a R32 GTR with some stereo gear and some heavy after market wheels(generaly cheaper wheels weigh more than the stnd wheels on a GTR). But I strongly agree that all the models have good and bad points.
  8. Does the phrase half cut mongrel enter anyone elses mind. I have no idea why people would basterdise a good car by adding a heap of fibreglass and bog to it. I hate any of those half this half that cars except the r34 front on a stagea as it seems to be the only conversion with any merrit just my opnion .
  9. I own a 32GTR and a 33GTR and have also driven and competed in a few tarmac rallies and hill climbs in a 34GTRvspec and without taking into account the exterior styling of the cars wich is all down to personal preferance i can say that the 32GTR is a fun car to drive (thrash) on a track but is a lot twichier and the most likly to bite you in the ass when driven to the edge (more than likley due to the slower attesa) wich is why i think they are a fun (exciting) car to drive. The R33GTR is alot more balanced car easier to drive on the edge more confidence inspiring and despite the extra weight is actually faster on the track due to the better attesa and better suspension geometry and wheelbase and is also a much better option as a daily driver. And I found the R34GTR to be inbetween the R33 and R32GTR's not as twitchy on the limit as the R32GTR but not quite as smooth and balanced as the R33GTR they seem to have a lot more initial understeer than a R33GTR but are a little easier to coax into oversteer than the R33GTR but no where as near as tail happy (wich on a track = slower) as the R32GTR. I love all the GTR's but my choice to build my race car out of is my R33GTR due to the fact that lap times are the main priority and due to the better all around balance of the R33GTR for me it is the pick of the bunch from a track oriantated point of view especially when you take into account the age of the R32GTR and the price of the R34GTR. As far as exterior styling goes all GTR's are good looking tough cars.
  10. I have competed in one of the QLD rounds before and definatly would not enter another dutton. I found that the event seemed to be more a money making exercise for the organizers than about putting on a good event for participants as seems evedent by the ever increasing entry fees. And i defenatly would agree that the amount of driving for the amount of money spent is definatly not good value. I have personally found that events put on by motoring events managment (the origanal organizers of dutton before the rights were onsold) such as the indy rally and grand prix rally ect to be much better value for money and more competitor focussed and the entry fees are far more reasonable.
  11. Everyone should just let Russ come up with some basic rules and just have a rwd awd and fwd class and if people dont like the rules dont enter simple as that as has been stated several times no one is racing for sheep stations and the whole event should just be fun and an oppertunity to get out on the track with like minded enthusiasts. No matter what rules the event is run under you will never keep everyone happy so those who dont like thr rules should just stay home and play their playstation.
  12. I have one for sale asking $300.00 but will take $250.00 + postage if your interested check the for sale section and search for the last post i put in there there are some pics with the part no so you can confirm it is the right one or give me a call on 0417305401 Daz.
  13. LOL was just having a dig as it seems that they have copied my post word for word. But in saying that I am not adverse to accepting some form of payment if it happens to come my way. Was i bit of a shame i did not get to meet you over there as i am sure we probably unknowingly walked past each other on several occasions.
  14. Hey mate you should run the event however you see fit and any one that does not like the rules that you decide on should not enter the event full stop. You will always get some one whinging about one aspect or the other either due to lack of skill, funds or performance and if people are going to be such nancys that they would threaten legal action over an event that is really meant to be about having fun getting out on the track and mixing it up with the type of machinery that we all love then you would have to wonder why they would even bother turning up at all. As you stated it is not racing for sheep stations and is at best about a few bragging rights. As i said you can count me in regardless of the rules mate.
  15. Hey Russ just thought i would finally put a post on here to congradulate you guys in the computer world even though I got the chance at the track. Was a top effort for your first crack the car seemed really well preped apart from the few little issues and full props to mark as without being there I dont think anyone can grasp just how technical this track is with some very tricky sections from a drivers point of view so to do as well as he did against guys that have all probably driven 1000s of laps around that track is a top effort. The time attack thing sounds like a brilliant idea and you can definatly count myself and matty in hopefully we can give you guys a run for your money. If we both get a suspension upgrade i thinjk the cars will be pretty on par will just have to try and get some more time behind the wheel.
  16. No not yet mate still cruising around japan will be home in a few days. Will give you a call when i get home and will catch up for a few beers and a review of some of the pics and footage from the trip. Amazing how quick things get around the net posted the info about the chat i had with the mines engineer at tsukuba and just saw the new thread witha link to GTR blog and it seems they have picked up on it along with a few of the Barons pics. You would think they could come up with a scoop of there own hey just wondering if i can get some sort of commision now lol.
  17. Interesting how everyone that has not seen the car in the flesh or driven it has an opinion on how shitty the dsg gearbox is. The car looked very capable around the track and as far as i could tell the dsg seemed awsome seemless shifts so much so that you could hardly tell that it was shifting. And i doubt that the weight will be an issue as it was lapping at a good pace for a standard car around a very tight and tricky circuit ( Mark will attest to how tricky this circuit actually is as i dont think gran turismo can give an accurate grasp on some very technical parts of the circuit) . I think once the modified examples are unveiled they will silance all critics
  18. I do have some video will post it up as soon as i get back to oz a little hard at the local internet cafe over here. Untill then the rest of you will have to put up with the suspense sorry guys.
