To the OP Call up nissan customer service, tell them your situation and that you are disguested that it isn't covered under warranty when it wasn't your fault that it cracked and have a rant while you are at it. I work at a Honda dealership and have had many customers ring the customer service department when Honda wont cover things under warranty and they qucikly change their mind and allow it to be replaced at no cost to the customer or at worst the customer pays for labour and Honda for the part. We have even done a V6 Legend bottom end because the customer complained and even transmisions for cars that are out of warranty all because customer have taken it upon themselves to winge

Hey mate check your AFM. My mate has a similar problem. If you don't have another one to check it against pull your one out. Remove the glue so that you can take the cover. Then with a screw driver see if you can lift up the connections (the ones circled in the picture). If they lift up then they need to be soldered, the conection comes off when you are driving causing it to kill power.

We have a passat here at work which came from QLD with water damage. The car wont start or run because it got water in the cylinders. It was funny telling the customer it needed a new motor worth 15k and that's just the beginning.

yeh im in the same boat with ss/hsv/typhoon/xr6-8/etc, i always slow down more than i have to if i see one around In regards to street racing, 2 weeks ago a VE Clubby tried to race me off the lights and i know that he saw my mum sitting in the passenger seat next to me, he was even in the left lane and i had my windows down. My mum didn't have nice things to say about him lol

Thats is so true, a few weeks ago i lent my skyline to a friend (a chick) because i needed a lift home from the pub that night. She picked me up at about 1am and on our way to her place she gets pulled over by HWP. Does the usual RBT then walks around the car a few times with his torch and ask's whos car it is and why its damaged, i said it why mine and gave him an explination. He walks to his car for 5 mins then comes back and says "i'll let you off tonight even though you're driving a defective vehicle but if i see you driving it around i will defect you." If i was driving it i'm more than sure that i would've been bent over and defected. Not to mention she wasn't even showing any cleavage, its bullshit double standards but im glad the car didn't get defected lol
