Spotted a 32 plates 'FLY-xxx' absolutely SMASHING the industrial area carpark out the back of my place. Sounded like a good solid 2 minute burnout. There was smoke over the joint for about 5 minutes afterwards.

That'd be A/R .60, the size of the compressor housing. If its anything serious, there will be a small plate rivited to the core of the turbo somewhere, indicating a model/serial number.

Nice one Auto mode seemed to work with phase 1, but i just couldnt get it to set phase 2... it'd bring the boost down by like 2psi and just not set itself! But hey, i prefer to set the thing manually anyways.. more control Now I just gotta teach stan how to use the bloody thing

Nevermind. Fixed. Just needed to be initialised and then a re-set of all the settings and it was sweet. Holds boost perfectly.

Just adding my input into this thread... A customer got a set of these for his r33. We initially fitted a front seat cover over a complete seat and it looked fantastic, but just not that 'custom interior' look.. so we went one better. Basically we removed all the seats, and removed the stock cloth material covering the seats - this required dismantling of the front seats as to get the cloth off the lower half of them. We then covered the seats in contact adhesive spray, and fitted the covers. They took the shape of the seats perfectly and it truely does look like a custom interior. Without the standard cloth, the covers fit much better too! ... just some food for thought for anyone that wants these things to look better.

Its a filter. Commonly used on EBCs to prevent vapours from entering the unit and f*cking the map sensor up. The only reason I could see it being used on a BOV would be for the same purpose, keep vapours from going into the end and turning into liquid - possibly f**king the operation of it? Personally I dont think a BOV needs it, definately a plus for anything electronic thats getting a pressure signal though.. vapours are bad!

Just had a look at Stan's dyno graph - from the SATANIC. Very surprising to see that UAS backed off the run before it even ended... meant that peak power wasn't even reached??? The dyno graph just went vertically downwards at the end, power curve hadn't even started to dip yet. Anyone else see this on their graphs or was it just Stan's?

I went for the trip with Stan out to Hitman on Saturday. Highly suprised at the a/f ratios on the inital run.. quite scary when you think about it. there was no noticable pinging or any wierd noises from the motor either while it was running like that... hmm very happy with a solid power figure from a comparable dyno. the 200rwkw barrier could have been broken with a closed loop boost controller, as the hybrid boost controller at the moment is running in open loop, hence the boost drop off towards the higher rev range. Is this the Air Flow ratio setting in the SAFC? Where (for example) I can set values such as 10 units of air measured, 9 units of air sent to the ECU? Is this how it works?

Looking at the R34 25det wiring diagram, there seems to be a few sensor connections that are up near the AFM one: Turbo pressure sensor (3 pin) Refrigerant pressure sensor (3 pin) Turbo pressure control solenoid (2 pin) Canister Purge control valve (2 pin) Hope that helps.
