Ignore what i said about the CA18 as your posts refers to the 2 ltr 180. Silly me...

Well the RB20DET (R32) is an all round good performer and has rather strong internals, so can handle like up to around 240rwkw with the standard internals. With the 180SX's, they came with the CA18 and the SR20. In my opinion the SR is the better of the two engines and response better to mods, even over the RB20DET in some instances. Both the 180 and the R32 handle excellent, but if had to choose the 180 would be slightly better with handling. But what won me over when i bought my R32 was the appearance. It looks so much more stylish than the 180. As for parts, there are lots for both...so no problems there. Yea i said i wasn't totally sure about the turbo, but that was my guess after seeing pics of the GT 2530. Another thing is that i think the factory ecu is untouched and there has never been a fmic on the car. Looks like an unfinished project. It never even had a high flow fuel pump when i got it! Scott.

I'm using a Turbosmart bleed valve and i've had it tuned to 12psi with it. But now my greddy guage reads up to 20psi. It's like the bleed valve isn't doing anything at all. I even tried swapping bleed valves with another indentical one....but same thing happened. It was working ok when i got the bleed valve put on but recently it's uncontrolable. My turbo isn't stock and i believe it is a GT 2530. Car is R32 GTS-t. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I am getting an EBC next week so will that correct the problem? Regards, Scott.

Mine spiked from the set 12psi to 16 odd last night (10 degrees ambient). I just got the cheapest bleed valve (turbosmart boost tee) *sigh*

The comp cover looks identical to this GT2530...hmm

Just curious as to what can cause spiking (bleed valves). I notice that when it's colder the more my bleed valve will spike. I've had up to 5psi difference! I've got a turbosmart (cheapest one) and the most i can turn the boost down to is 12psi. Why is this so? And are all bleed valves the same in performance or are some better than others? This setup is temporary until i an afford EBC. Regards, Scott.
