If they tried once and failed chances are they wont be back unless they are really stoopid or really determined, which most arent. When my car last got broken into they did the whole street and just stole some crap off my back seat. It was on one of those really stormy windy nights where u hear lots of noises but dont pay attention to them.

yeh i think i found out that my car was not really setup for drift a while ago. U have to push it real hrd to get it to lose grip but when it does it really goes AWOT (ass without traction) so i learnt that lesson pretty quick. u prolly saw the vid Sunday, Monday, Happy Days. Hey u will never guess what happened. After all the bs and them saying i was denied, I GOT RENEWAL IN THE MAIL!1!!! Ha couldnt believe it its like all my christmases have come at once:D hopefully its not just a computer glitch and im just gonna pay it and see what happens. I think u can even pay online now too. So let me get this straight? U got a fine for parking where u werent allowed to. Then u disputed it because it was out front of ure house, never mind u prolly parked there a million times b4 and never got nailed. So basically u had no grounds seeing as the fine was prolly "parking without a valid permit" or something like that. Then u got the bill and let it go past the due date knowing u would have to pay late charges. Now ure complaining? I think Psiko said it best:P The oldest trick in the book is to send the fine very early and then not again till they can put late fees on it. All the councils do it. My only suggestion is to get a filing system.

Since i had my car ive been pulled over twice and both times were for doin somethign where i knew i was running a risk. As Ozzy said 'slow and steady' is the way to go the other time i got pulled over (not mentioned in theis thread) was ona cruise where a cop was sitting behind me just waiting for me to slip up. Ordinarily i would have taken it very easily on the launch but i was falling behind so i decided to go a little quick, not silly quick or even fast, just a little too quick and BAM hes on me like flies on shit. "do u know y i pulled u over?" "ahh no" (stunned look) "u took off too quick at those lights" "oh i didnt realise im just in a bit of a hurry" Hes starts doing the walk around and kikin tyres "its just been complied m8 so shes nice and legal" "ok im gonna give u a warning but keep it low this weekend ok" "thanks m8 have a good weekend" And off i went no worries. I saw it coming but wasnt doing anything wrong so i would have been pissed if he nailed me. I never broke the limit of spun wheels or anything. I knew he was on my ass the whole time. My point is that 9/10 u dont have to be pulled over unless u choose to. Unless u drive stoopid naturally in which cse u deserve it.

Ahh the ol goon in the v6 dodging traffic. Yep seems to me they make up 50% of the road toll. 4. :dont think so, telling cops u are going for a cruze is counter productive to the max. Sure it may work in ure favour but chances are it may not and 50% of the cars there get yellowed and then every1 will be thinkin "ahh good 1 m8 y u tell em that?"

That should be 6 mnths unless the susp already went through in which case it will be a year. Most cops have radars now but its still just as effective to do the ol speed check where they just sit at the same speed as u and see what ure doin. This brings me back to my point on how u should see cops b4 they see u. Ona side note, i was listening to the scanner the other day and when they do an id check it comes up that a person is a relative of a cop. I wonder if i get special dispensations becasue my old man was cop?? be interesting to know. INASNT: I said on the road, not over all. if a cop come knocking on ure door and tries to barge in tell him to get f***d. Just saying the road is their domain and when u are on the road they are better. U can get into semantics all u want but the fact remains that the law will see their side b4 it see ures. U r licenced to drive by the govt ure car is licenced to be on the road by the govt and cops are the representatives of the govt they are essentially GOD's of the road, sorry no argument thats just the way it is, if u dont like it dont drive. The road is the only place where honest citizens can get screwed and like it or not its up the the discretion of the cop. 007: i guess i have never had anything to sour the cops IMHO everytime ive been done i have deserved it. One time i was on the way home from a LAN in my old cluncker 'line adn i got pulled over. Its 3am and im carrying 3 computers on my back seat and boot plus i had my pusuader in the boot (4ft broadsword) the second i got pulled over i knew id get done seeing as my tires were near bald and i had some ahh contraband on me. They made me empty the entire car and checked serial number searched around and found my contraband (well under legal amount) they had a bit of a talk with me and then just left it at that. I could have had at least a yellow sticker, possession of a banned substance, possesion of lethal weapon and rolling over a stop sign, which is why they pulled me over in the first place. Im pretty sure they could have got me for somethig else if they had wanted to but they can tell that i was just a student on my way home and prolly couldnt afford a fine nehow so they left me standing on the side of the road packing my stuff back in the car. What im basically saying is dont judge, a cop can judge u but u shouldnt judge a cop, not becase he is better or worse but because the second u start judging him u think of him as a man/woman and not a cop and then u act accordingly. If hes nice u may get friendly and let ure guard down, if hes a prick u may just start treating him like ny other prick u meet on the street and he will know it.

Yeh it may be different over here in WA seeing as we get the whole small town atmosphere. I asked my dad about that quota thing and he sez its total bs, not sure about over there and now but when he was a cop 15-20 odd years ago there was nothing of the sort. If anything he gave out too many tickets becasue of ppl giving him hassle. Hey if i was a cop id do the same thing. He tells me a story of how he used to go for a cain in the ol XD and if it looked like he was gonna have an accident the guy in the side seat would pic up the mic and say "tango whisky sierra 2 1 , in pursuit" that way if they did hit something they could prove they werent just caining around for fun. And u wonder y they took most of the V8s off the cop 007 i dont think u are ever gonna get my point or merlis for that matter. Cops are better than u!!!! u can tell em about ure rights all day but i betcha they will nail u for something. Its all about power they have the power u do not dont question it. How would u like if a 10yr old kid came in to ure work and started telling u that u were doing it wrong and he knows better etc etc even if he was being poilte ud pick him up and throw him out correct? i know i would. Who the hell is he to be telling u how to do ure job? Oh yeh and learn the "jedi mind trick" cant remember the author but its called "world fastest hypnotisim" or something like that and it basically tells u how to screw with pppls mind without them noticing it. Ahh isnt this an aussie forum??? too many movies 4 u m8 Well my dad was a cop and i know alot of his cop friends and i deal with cops at work seeing as we are a govt liason. So i might say i know how to talk to em. Ok i reckon id be safe to say that none of u guys are secret agents and can lie perfectly and change ure mannerisims to suit the situation. Cops know when u dont liek em not becasue of what u say but how u say it, u might be trying to be friendly but deep down saying "bloody bastards" they can tell even the newest road cop has pulled over a 1000 od ppl in exactly this situation and he knows ppl, thats his job. 007 so u get out of ure car stand tall and start crapping on about "ure rights" no wonder u keep getting done. True respect is what its all about, dont respect the badge, respect the man becasue he has the badge. Same thing as standing up on the bus to let an older person sit, its just respect where respect is due. Ever read a serial killer book? 9 times out of 10 when a cop speaks to the killer he knows right away, even if its in passing and the cop never suspected him at all. Cops are not paid to drive around being tools and handing out yellows, they are paid and trained to deal with ppl first and foremost and ppl who dont show repect get treated accordingly.
