  1. funny, gtr indicators fit my mates gtst my fourdoor came with gtr headlights, fogs etc. still dont know if i like em more than the projector gts-t lights thow.
  2. interested indeed, would bring along another 4door 32. later in the day is best
  3. Hi, The datsun 1600 rally car that I use for amature racing has been stolen, its blue (a bit darker than standard r34 blue), has a datsun 2L (L20b sohc) with twin 45mm webers, jap 5speed box, full autometer gauges (the big shift light tacho stopped working on sunday and the rest are in a custom alloy pod that replaces the ashtray bit of the dash), checkerplate door trim, isotta DSX steeringwheel, hydrolic handbrake, crane ignition system, holly fuelpump, home made exhaust with 3A racing end box, viscus R200 LSD and bluebird TRX wheels. the car isnt in great condition but has everything needed to do its job. also stolen, the car trailer (tandem tilting, grey), duel axles, very well made with a tool box either side at the front. in the rally car were two R32 skyline mags (starcorp tracers 17's with federal performance tread one had a puncture repair job) and two stock R32 rims painted silver. all of this was stolen last nite/early this morning from Oborn rd Mt Barker from a mates workshop. we have spent many years trashing and repairing this car, I learnt to drive in it and it means a great deal to us, the car body was origionaly owned by my mates grandma. people may have seen me and my mates dad racing it at lonsdale mitsu plant on sunday. even the smallest leads are extreemly appreciated. cheers Daniel J Priaulx pm me for contact numbers
  4. correct. i looked at some other threads and the exceedy was mentioned but it didnt realy say what was so good about it or where to find a distributer etc. ill probably drop by the local parts shop tonite and see what they say but does someone have a web link to exceedy?? cheers
  5. when i received my car from japan it had the back three windows heavily tinted. i pulled it off thinking no way would it pass like that. but i had a thought (yes it hurt), if a car has both side mirrors like a van/ute or truck why cant it have heavy tinting on the rear windows only. you cant see out the back of the van i drive for work so what difference is there between a car with both side mirrors with one way tint or a van with both mirrors and no rear windows??? so im thinking of putting the g35 tint on the front side windows and a 20 tint on the back three windows. does anyone know what the laws are on back window tint of a sedan that has both side mirrors??? cheers
  6. ive got a standard clutch.... it slips.... lots.... Can anyone sugest a budget clutch that would be reasonable for an aprox 180kw on a fourdoor R32? i have a thing for pumping it halfway round a corner so durability would be good. my girlfriend dun drive my car much so it can be heavy as f**k, just dont have much moolar to put into it. cheers
  7. haha, ive got a 1972 240z. i also have an R32 four door gts-t, the zed has a defect and is gonna take a complet rebuild to get rid of it. and im havin to much fun to start pullin the 32 apart. but sumtime in the far away future i aim to have an RB in my zed or maybe a chev400 alloy block.
  8. second that. wanting a set for a fourdoor sumthing feirce :aroused: ( Y15700 )
  9. wouldnt the center of the bonnet tearing back to show an RB26dett with two massive turbos done in a cartoon style with lots of bold colours and exadurated shadows/highlights look fair choice????
  10. mine goes to where the 190 mark would be than keeps clicking back to 180. and yeh private roads. its not a smart thing to post how fast you go on public roads, not every SAU member wants cops to think we speed. i would rather the attention stay on holden drivers not us nice nissan people. (no offence)
  11. so, your saying that you dont need to have an exemption from an ID plate and you dont need to get one fitted?? the letter that we have recieved is an exemption from having a complince plate so that if a cop looks in the engine bay and see's the japan ID plate he can't have a go or book us or something stupid. but the letter is only valid untill we are asked to come in and get one fitted, when SA gets the plates made up which for sum strange reason they cannot do at this time. what i want to know is why cant they do it now, or is it as sugested a little game to scare us into not illegaly moding our cars.
  12. if the little plate on the inside of the drivers door above the latch part states R16 then its ok to have 18's, but if its R15 then you can only have 17's. from what ive seen of your car id say you shouldnt have to many problems. remember you have to have a high mount rear brake light, baby anchor points and stock air box. exhaust must be under 91db (mine is and ive got a 3.25inch cat back). i think the hight should be 35cm from wheel center to gard (straight up) might be wrong on this thow.
  13. my R32 has one, might light it up 2nite.
  14. the problem with waiting is more modifying. i dont want to put on FMIC and shit like that untill after this ID plate thing, but how long am i gonna hafta wait.
  15. Yep, funny one isnt he. from what ive heard im bout the only one that got a good car out of him.
  16. i did the compliance myself so luckily i can get hold of stock parts, but ther is alot of time going to waist if i have to do that. im thinkin make it look stockish (take off obvious mods like pod filter maybe FMIC and see how i go (if they ever get around to doing the ID plates). if i get a defect then ill take it to a place that does compliancing and get them to return it to stock take it through and return it to my beast. i cant see why someone that does compliancing couldnt do defects. its pritty much the same thing, just not the introusion bars. also there are less imports now so they need to make their money sumhow. still an absolute b*t*h ill try to take mine to Murray Bridge where i got mine complied (i have my reasons that i will not post cuz i dont know who might be reading this) also i live near Barker, bout the same distance to murryB as it is to regency.
  17. yeh i got the same letter and so did a mate. we could go sumwhere else, but it still means that someone with a lil bit of knowlage is gonna look at the car and as far as i know they can all read the letter which states that everything must be stock (said over 2 pages of ADR's). which means the vehicle would not be legal so the compliance/ID plate would not get fitted. its f**ked. its like getting the vehicle complied all over again
  18. hmmmm, i cant wait to get some spare $$$. ive got my old system from my datto sitting in my room. just waiting so i can do another killer job, dun wanna rush it. want to have excess money so i can take the car off the road and not hafta stop half way cuz i forgot sumthing. the most anoying part is making test box's (it cost me 2 much in MDF) and i dont know how much ill be using. also would like to keep the weight down but again i love my car audio so spare no expense. hmmmm, one way to counter the weight problem is more power.... which means more money... which means less for car audio. damit!!! 2 type-r 12"s fusion frad 1.5 oddy bat (as extra) phillips amp 300wrms (gonna sell) clarion amp 600wrms (gonna sell or keep for splits/6x9's depends how much room i have) alpine d-class mono 1000wrms amp or 2 d-class mono 550wrms (yet to purchase) (hu already in) cda-7894 perfect for this install but i may replace with IVA-D300E later as it controlls the amps better. still havnt made up my mind on cables and i realy wanted to do a ported job but there isnt the space unless i take out the back seat and that kills the perpos of a 4door. sorry, gettin carried away. *wipes drool off laptop*
  19. is this the same kit as the group buy?? looks sweet on your install but the piping dun look so good in the first pics posted??
  20. they should have temp license avalible for $20-30 one day. all the events i have been in that are done with CAM's have had the one day option. ill ask Nissan Datsun Car Club about the mitsu track at tailem, i used to be a member and we had an event there once. the events at lonsdale are very fun, i used to goto everyone of em until they became extreemly popular and we ended up waiting for an hour between turns, which is shit when you consider your on the course for less than 2min at a time. :fart:
