I myself admit it doesn't sound right, there is definitely something going on with my 33. From my knowledge; TBE Remapped ECU Splitfires ARC sidemount POD The mph will confirm on Wednesday at WSID I guess.

If you're right Dave... my 194 reading means I'm making 223rwkws @8psi on the stock turbo, and remapped ecu. Hmmmmmmn??? Somethings goin' on there!
-
Might head down for a look too.

You didn't go for a carbotic one? I've always thought all the hot Jim Berry clutches were carbotic not organic. Or am I confused?

I have a Nismo Gmax twin and its not really fun for daily driving. I was ok with it after a day or so but still stall it every now and then, especially after driving other cars for a while. Pick up point is ~2/3rds of the way up and its got very little give between off and on. Not many (if any) of my friends can drive the car anymore but doesn't slip one bit!

I'm biting the bullet and will order one of these puppies. Its a GPS based performance tool designed for cyclists. Have done a bit of research and apparently there are a few motorbikers using these with good results. http://www.garmin.com/products/edge205/index.jsp Can get them delivered for ~$260.00 In the link below the jpegs show the data recorded, and you'll notice top speeds over 200km/h!. It registers laptimes down to 100ths but I'm sure there is interpolation involved. Over all it seems to offer a whole bunch of the drift box functions, including mapping, time and speed for specified distance, etc... http://www.track-daze.co.za/Edge205.htm Anyone else tried these?

Thermostatic Cooler Kits, Single/dual Filter Relocation Kits
tuitahi replied to N1GTR's topic in Group Buys
I want a cooler, single filter relocation kit and a thermostat. Let me know when stock is available so I can pay for the gear. -
I agree with CEF11E... In conjunction with the rest of my Turbo back exhaust, my stainless inside and out cat provided me with a 45 rwkw increase. No aftermarket management, and same dyno same day!

Hi Flow Turbo Without Aftermarket Ecu?
tuitahi replied to tuitahi's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Thanks for the feedback Abo Bob, exactly the kind of thing I was wanting to hear. I'll try to sort it all out over the next couple weeks! and I'll get back with results. -
Hi Flow Turbo Without Aftermarket Ecu?
tuitahi replied to tuitahi's topic in Forced Induction Performance
re the oil cooler, no overheating as yet... just being cautious. A little peace of mind I guess. (Ironic I know as I'm gonna try and run the hi-flow without an ecu, will check the ratios though) The SMIC is pretty beefy, supposed to be good for 240rwkw or so. Toshi said the tune should be good for 1 bar, not that the stocker would do much at that pressure, but I'm guessing the stock turbo would flow alot less than the gcg at 10psi. -
Hi Flow Turbo Without Aftermarket Ecu?
tuitahi replied to tuitahi's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Yeah, I'll definately get it on a dyno straight away to make sure the a/f ratios are safe. Not really fussed about the power, just need it to be safe. My main concern was the turbo flowing too much and maxing the injectors. I guess I can only give it a go. -

Yeah, might call GCG tomorrow. But I would really like to get feedback from someone who's done this on a stock ecu. -
Hi Flow Turbo Without Aftermarket Ecu?
tuitahi replied to tuitahi's topic in Forced Induction Performance
^^ Thats my thinking also, I just don't know how much more air the turbo is gonna flow at the stock psi. Wanna know if someone else has done it and their results, surely some of the auto guys have done this without an safc or the like? -
I currently have a RB25/VG30 Hybrid GCG Hiflow Turbo sitting on my desk to go on my R33 gtst. (Been sitting there for 6 months now ) I have a dilemna... I cant afford to buy an ECU and injectors for quite a while it seems, and I'm wanting to do a whole lot more trackdays. I'd like to put the turbo on so I don't blow the ceramic stocker (1. so I can still drive it and 2. so I can sell it as a working turbo) I will eventually get the ECU and injectors, but in the meantime... Can I do it? I know its not the ideal solution, but? How/can I run less than stock boost? Will I need to? What will I ned to run the turbo, I was thinking of the following; Tomei/Nismo Adjustable FPR HKS Adjustable Actuator (GCG has 10psi R32 on it, maybe I should use the 7psi stocker) Currently I have; Rechipped ECU (By Toshi, more agressive timing and richer I think... and no speed cut) Pretty similar to Jap chipped ones I guess. TBE ARC SMIC Splitfires Bosch 044 pump Will be adding an oil cooler shortly also. Feedback???? Please

Yep, just organise the BOS split dump from BATMBL on the forums in the trader section. I had the BOS split dump, CATCO stainless 5 inch cat and Nismo cat back. Power went from 140 rwkw to 185 rwkw. Same dyno same day!

I think mine sits pretty similar to yours, most likely the 16 inch rims make it look lower. Would you believe I still get the full sick brigade asking why I don't lower my car?!?!

Who Is The Best Driver? Put Your Self To The Uas Test!
tuitahi replied to OZ GTR35's topic in Events Archive
Just like Top Gear's star in a reasonably priced car, minus the stars Love the idea, hope the car survives and I'm in for the next one! -
Thanks John, I feel all inadequate now!!! Thought my 2.03 was ok with exhaust and suspension. Apparently I need to try harder, much harder! jeez... Thanks to all the photographers! Great work. Silver Arrowz, can we get the hi-res versions? you can pm me if you want.
