  1. hey guys. i just put a rb25 into my r32 got it running and the one welsh plug i thought i screwed up, started pissing out coolant, so the reason i had troubles getting it in was because of the coolant like which goes into the thermostat, ive uploaded pics, and i need to know if it screws out or if you pop it out? or what can be done, the other welsh plug i tried getting out with plenum on and ive pushed it to the left so i need to get wire in there to flick it back across, damn copper, any info would be good, Cheers JV
  2. all i can say is if you ever ran into me i would sue your ass into the ground to get as much money as possible, accidents dont just happen from been stupid, it can happen to any1, maybe you are driving normally and you just arnt concerntrating enough because of been tired or what not, shit happens, and when it does it will cost you big time, my car has cost me a shitload of money, i hate how they put on my pay slip earnings to date, plus if you get a daily, say spend 1-2g on a daily, save while your on your p's, then by time you can drive a skyline, say you have 40g saved up, you buy the car for 12g, then insurance will be another 2g, drive the car how it is (mostly stock) and then as you drive it more you can figure out which way you want to go with modifing it, lots of people go different ways, so best to decide from driving the car not just reading stuff all day long, then when you go to work on your car you have a get around car, JV
  3. yeah go jap brands, trust or hks, when putting the lines onto the oild cooler, make sure you lube up the threads on the oil cooler and then thread tape it, (by lube, i mean oil) obviously not to much but just enough to stop it from stripping, sounds wierd i know and i didnt do it with my first oil cooler core and i went to take it off and sure enough it has stripped the threads, and learning aviation engineering a few days later we were told when making lines to lube the threads and showed us a pic of what happens, god damn i wish i did it earlier, so now i have a cheap core but fingers crossed does the job, (most problems are with the sandwhich plate on cheap brands) JV
  4. hmmm full boost of 2 bar at 4200rpm, do you have a dyno sheet? i find it very hard to believe, with cams i would go 264deg with solid lifters, dont want anything to big for street as it would be very lumpy, if you want different degree intake to exhaust then you will need cam gears aswell as it will have to be fine tuned.
  5. haha engine is running fine now, just need to fix this 1 welsh plug on intake side at the front, was hard to get it in right, and i screwed it, thought it would still hold but it didnt so i have to replace that and then i can take the car for a test drive on the road, hope it goes well through the rev range, then it will be booked in for a wheel allignment because i changed all the hicas (no hicas) camber arms, traction rods, and pineapples etc... so yeah lets hope the beast is on the road by next week, thanks for all the help fella's JV
  6. hey, ok so i got round to working on my engine, i got the sump off and had a look, straight away i saw the problem, i thought it might have been the pickup with grinding it back, but what i must have done while re-installing the oil pick for good, i bolted it onto the wrong spot, (yes this can be done) ther is another spot about 4-5cm further back where the oil pick up can be bolted on, so pretty much i had no oil pick up on my car and thats why i had no oil pressure, i changed the pick up to the rb25 pickup just because it doesnt need a o-ring, better safe then sorry, oil pressure went straight up to 4kg, then i saw the welsh plug leak, god damn it, will post up pics of my screw up so people can see, cheers JV
  7. Yep stock as a rock. Weapon: sorry i dont have any AFM's but my mate has a pair of GTR ones forsale.

  11. no offers any1? any decent offer will be looked into, i have to get rid of this stuff, offers will be taken on rims aswell, JV
  12. Isn't the GTR closer in price to the Boxster? If so then the question becomes a lot easier to answer.
  13. sweet as, yeah once the sump is off its easy, i might even be able to do it without unbolting the engine, might be a very tight fit but o well, ive gotta try and file some of the holes i drilled out anyways, i might try and just find the 25 pick up as that doesnt need the o-ring, and thats also why it would be sucking air, i grinded it pretty far back that it made a gap in the o-ring spot as you can see in the second picture, will update this once i do the mods let you know if it worked, JV
  14. Hey guys, ok so i finally got round to working on my engine today, Cranked the engine for about 20-30secs until battery went dead, no oil came out of the oil feed line, the rb20 pick up looks like it has a recess, so i think i must need to put a o-ring in, god damn it, so can i do this in the car? or will i have tor ip the engine out? if its in the car whats a easy way to get the sump out? any info would be good, im going mental working on cars lol, i swear i have lost a good $400 in oil, the rb25 pick up doesnt have a recess, i might try and mod that one and see how we go, let me know if 20-30secs will normally get oil through, Cheers JV
  15. Hey guys, RB20DET with no turbo, $400, will need a new head put on (i can supply) i didnt crank it by hand before i started it and bent valves because they stuck down, (can also chuck in RB20 pistons just incase they are damaged somehow) 110,000km on it, i Have decided to include another engine with this 1, the other engine is in pieces but i will try and gather as much stuff up for it as possible, it had a spun bearing but i was going to do a forged rebuild but in the end didnt have the money, so you get 2 engines pretty much, RB20DET with turbo, $700, this was running sweet when i pulled it out of the car, have now up graded to a rb25 so i need this gone asap, got full time study next year and wont be able to work so no pay for 1 year , 160,000km on it, will put the rb25 turbo on instead if anyone wants to take this in the next week, need it gone, will also chuck in afm, hd clutch, and a few other bits and pieces i have lying around RB25 Turbo, dont need this anymore, $300 comes with elbow RB20 Turbo, also dont need this, $200 comes with elbow, RB20 block and other rb 20 stuff, Make a offer if i have the part, RB20 AFM, $80, still has mesh, good condition, RB25 ecu, $100, (series 1) PM me if interested in any parts or post up here, JV EDIT: ok guys need this stuff gone, so i will do some deals on the turbo i can offer manifolds and lines with at least 1 of the turbo's (will have to check for other 1) might even sell some sets of speedy rims, i have a full set of 18"s painted black with tyres (2 toyo's and 2 some other brand) not much tread, this is only a eoi atm as i really wanting to pay off my loan so i can keep my car while im unpaid all of next year, so make a offer, or ask questions (look like cheetahs i think, 18X8.5) ($1200) I have a full set of 17" black Victory's aswell, with toyo tyres (mate has borrowed them so if the tyres are f***ed hes gonna have to buy me new ones) so they will have good tread, forgot what style they are, they are black aswell, 17X8.0 i think, will double check, again on a EOI atm, ($850) Cheers JV
  16. haha damn it, i guess its ment to have one there then, it has a o-ring recess, god damnit, i couldnt be bothered pulling the sump off, o well see how we go tomorrow, Cheers
  17. ok thanks fella's i will try that tomorrow, if that fails then yeah i will pull the sump off and have another look at the oil pickup, there isnt a o-ring on the rb20 oil pick up, im just using that paper gasket that was on there,? maybe should put a o-ring into it if it doesnt work? my bro mentioned another thing i will try tomorrow, see if there is oil in the relocator kit? maybe if i have a line around the wrong way it wont let oil through? anyways i will get back to you, the motor is under warrenty so they said if i can get oil pressure they will give me another engine, but thats cool, just a pain to rip everything out again, JV
  18. ok so you want me to crank the car over without the cas attached? im a bit confused? or you want me to crank it by hand? which line do you want me to put the oil into and then crank? sorry man if you can get into more detail that would be great, i really dont want to have to pull this engine out of the car again, this will be the 4th time a engine has come out of my car in 4months, im sick of having it off the road, if you could please to a step by step instructions that would be great man, so you dont think its because i grinded back the pick up? i cant see how it could be, it would still seal? Cheers mate
  19. mmm thats what i fear, does any1 know of any1 who makes or stocks custom sumps to convert the car from awd to rwd? if so please post up name, i dont wanna pay more then $400 for 1, and then that way i dont need to grind away the oil pick up because thats where the problem could be?, ive noticed in the second pic u can see a gap, but then on the 20 pick up there is another ring that should seal i hope, i dno, i will have to pull the engine out for the 4th time and pull the sump off, im so over this shit JV
  20. hey, so i figured out why my engine didnt start, was vacuum thing, so i ran the engine and quickly did the timing, engine wouldnt of been on more than 2mins, i checked my defi oil pressure gauge and i have no oil pressure i did have the oil pick up off the car, and i did grind a bit away so it would fit with the sump i bent to fit, i know sounds dodgey, heres some pics of what i did, but do you think this would be the reason for the no oil pressure? i have the gasket and everything on there and did the bolts up tight, any help would be good, Thanks JV
  21. hey, ok so ive fixed the car after 4 months of screwing around with this damn car its finally running, the problem was a big vacuum leak, the brake master to plenum, damn i feel dumb haha, but atleast it was a easy fix, it just didnt make sense, anyways cheers for the input, JV
