  5. OK...i'm sorry if this post makes no sense as i'm not very mechanically minded A few weeks ago my car was dynoed and made 160RWKW (RB25DET). At the time of the dyno run it was noticed that the timing was a little out and it was suggested that i get this checked out. So I had it checked the other day and apparantly the cam timing is out by 1/2 a tooth. The guys tried fixing it but it looks like the problem is far worse than first thought. The service guys tell me that the problem lies with either the bottom sproket or the crank keyway. They think the problem is with the crank keyring and that it'll cost approx $2000+ to fix They told me that this is a common problem with Series 1 R33's. Has anyone had this problem before??? What options do I have??? The mechanic reckons that its dangerous leaving it as it is If anyone can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.... THANKS!!!!!

  11. Guys.... Here are some pics that I took today: http://users.tpg.com.au/adsla0xk/ Some are a bit blurry The SAU stand looked awesome (heaps better than last year) and the cars all looked fantastic. Congrats also to Ash who made 120rwKW on the dyno
  12. Quote "The car has been making a quiet but repetitive "ticking" sound for a few months now in neutral, I guess it's kind of like a squeak or a click. When I put my foot on the clutch even slightly (like 1-2cm) the noise stops. I've had similar noises in a previous car and it was the thrust bearing, which is why I think it's the same deal again." I've got the same problem.....damn annoying....but like everyone else has said I was told its to do with the thrust bearing
  13. I've got the same problem..... Sometimes when coming to a stop I press in the clutch and the car either stalls or the revs drop very low to almost stalling point than pick up again.... Its been doing it since I've had a Turbosmart BOV fitted so I think where safe to assume that this is the cause.....
