  1. Should take the car down there just for a couple of power runs and get a comparison. I was told it's more than likely the way the dyno has been calibrated. Anyway, I've been told not to reveal my hp figure but I'll be honest with you, we did loose hp but we always knew we were going to with the mods we did.
  2. Had my car dyno tuned (again) on the weekend. Told the operator to do a run in 3rd gear and another in 4th gear, made 1-3hp difference between the gears (less hp in 3rd). Don't know where you get an extra 20kw from changing a gear?!?
  3. 4rwkw?? that's bugger all! I've seen way bigger improvements with an XF throttle body conversion than a twin throttle setup. How was your torque? improvement? I noticed more torque with the a twin throttle setup then outright horsepower. but then again, I think the twin throttle setup is more wanker factor than anything. When you going out next?
  4. What type is it? EFI or carby? What rate (1:2, 1:1.7)? Does it come with a gauge & all fittings? Where you located? How much do you want?
  5. Hi, I'm after a Malpassi Fuel Pressure Regulator (Rising Rate). Must be EFI. Prefer a rate of 1:2 but any rate is considered. Located in SE QLD. Cheers
  6. How much power did you gain from the twin throttle body setup?
  7. I also missed this thread. Can I get some also?
  8. For people who are interested, the 2003 Jamboree results are now posted up on their website: www.jamboree.com.au
  9. Who saw last night's episode of car seen? It was dedicated to the 2003 13th Annual Jamboree. I thought it was pretty good coverage by the team at car seen. I also got my car on there . Did anyone tape it? I taped the second half but my car was shown in the first half (well the first few minutes). Cheers
  10. I'm with you man! More racing, less baggin!! I didn't see/talk to the guy with the RX3 but it looked pretty quick (dialled in 12.5??). There were a lot of rotor's in that class (ALL MOTOR). How many piston engines were there? I know I was the only 6 cylinder in the class
  11. There's more to come from the car as I only really just scraped in from qualifying with my first 14 sec. for the car and on my last qualifying run! I had to dial in something that was conservative. It was the first meeting for the car with the new engine and setup so I think we did pretty well BTW: I don't want to start any arguments but your mate made a comment about my car that my mates and I took offence to but left it at that. Didn't want to start anything. I only heard one comment from my mates about your mates car and didn't think it was any worst than he said. If he took offensive to any of my mates comments (mainly the ones I am not aware of), I apologise now for their actions. If anything, it was your mate's comment that started things!
  12. I was the one that raced your mate in the 1200 datto in the final (ALL MOTOR). Nice quick little car, knows how to get it off the line.
  13. Microtech's direct phone number is 02 9808 5233. The microtech website is by RX engineering. They do all of microtech's internet sales. Cheers
  14. Parag0n is right with the diff ratios of the oz built R31's but LSD's only came out in silhouettes. The normal silhouettes (not the GTS's) came out with 3.9 LSD's with auto trans and 3.7 LSD's with manual trans. GTS1's were all manual and came with 3.7 LSD's while GTS2's came with 3.9 LSD's regardless of whether they are auto or manual.
  15. All RB25's have side feed injectors.
  16. Okay, figured it out. Talked to an auto electrican and he sat me down and told me how to wire it up. Thanks for your help guys. Cheers
  17. Can anyone tell me where the positive wire is from the fuel pump???
  18. Okay, spoken to microtech and they said that I need the positive wire from the fuel pump connected to the right pin. Can Someone tell me what wire from the pump to the computer is the positive one (r31 aussie built). The white wire that is shielded has negative power when the ignition is turned off but has positive power when the igintion is turned on. The black wire that goes with this wire has nothing (no power or ground). It can;t be the white wire as I have connected it up to the relay but no fuel pump. Is there another that I'm missing? The wire that goes to the fuse box (blue or green?), is that positive power from the pump? Cheers Dean
  19. Something interesting I just found. When the ignition is turned off, the positive off the fuel pump is really ground and when the ignition is turned on, it has power. What is going on here? Six wires come from the fuel pump. One is an earth, two are for the fuel warning lamp and gauge, one goes to the fuse box and the others go to the computer. The ones that go to the computer (white & black) are both via a shielded cable. Can Someone tell me how to wire up these two wires. Or do I use the wire that runs from the fuel pump to the fusebox instead?
  20. Okay, blind_elk: My relay has the following pins: ......._ ....I.._..I ........I .........87 ....86 87a 85 .........30 Even wiring it up as you suggested (swapping 87 with 85) still didn't work, but the relay still turns off after 5 seconds or so. kjb_r33: Power is coming out of the constant power line which is fused via a 15 amp fuse. Power is also coming out of the contacts when connected. Has anyone wired an aftermarket computer in an R31 aussie built skyline? Loce to hear from you. Cheers Dean
