not taking a jab at you mate. but theres no such thing as "doing it safely" you shouldnt be doing it on any roads. regardless if its unpopulated. theres also wildlife and your own life + passenger if any. i admit i do the odd "mountain racing" every now and then but hey it goes with owning the cars i guess. and i dont think anyone can argue that. whether you've passed that stage or still in it, everyone has given their cars a squirt on the roads. its jus that most people have matured and learnt from experiences. i know myself my mind of thought is completely different to wen i first got my old gtst. i would try and race everyone i could. 2 years later i dont even look at people next to me at lights trying to rev me up. and i would say its because SAU forum has taught me alot through my 2 years of owning 2 skylines. so basically what im trying to say. everyone was a hoon once. its jus some take it further then others.

buddy u should change your stock turbos before letting them "eventually fail". i was thinking liek you and it may cost me a engine.

i would jus say i bought it for 15 if thats how much you want it insured for. , they will make you pay for it in ur premium anyway alternatively some companies will insure you the market value even if it is higher then your purchase price. for example my car. bought 18.5k, insured for 23k.

i just orderd a pair of rb26 hi flows just then off slide (trader in the forum). hoping to see close to 300kw with jus the usual bolt ons + fuel/intake upgrades. it will be my daily driver as well so i want something practical. ill follow this thread as well, as my engine may be up for a rebuild after blowing the stock turbos and i dont need a machine of a engine, jus something reliable that can take the power level im after. (300-320kw)

im jus getting the slide hi flow turbos. not to sure how to check that so i better not do it incase i break it even more lol. but ill check the cat asap. ive just changed my cooler pipes to a hardpipe kit so that cancels it out and cooler is all good.

im gna go and check my cat right now. not to sure how to check the wastegates though edit: dammit i dont have my jack. im pretty sure the turbo let go though as i heard the peices in my cat when it was idling before

yeah number 3 worries me as well. the cylinders were done in order. unfortunantly i never got around to doing a compression test ever lol this was the first time. not sure which turbo, let go ill be bringing it to hills motorsport once my turbos arrive. ill get a leakdown test while its there as well. but yeah i havnt turned on the car since october

did a cold start today with the help of blk180 (thanks mate) 1- 135 2- 130 3- 115 4- 135 5- 130 6- 135 those were the results, couldnt do cylinder 3 again cuz my battery died lol

ok guys i finally did a compression test today with the help of blk180. these were the results 1- 135 2- 130 3- 115 4- 135 5- 130 6- 135 cylinder 3 was obviously down but yeah couldnt try it again for the 2nd time as my battery died lol. but im hoping its ok! any thoughts?

ive got these double sided tape marks from where tv antennas used to be on my rear windscreen. however its kinda like dried outline of the tape marks, ive tried turps but still doesnt work
