  1. yer thanks paul for organising it all again even though i was at the track i missed most of the action due to a 2 inch piece of heater hose, dumping all my coolant in the first session hose was fixed at track thanks to a 72yo mechanic who came up from amberley, but now my engine is making a funny noise and im worried. from what ive heard though, my problems arent the worst
  2. i thought min size was 320mm diameter. 110mm is a pretty tiny wheel
  3. you will need to chop the f**k out of the stock type-m r32 bar (i had to, and it needs tidying up atm). basically i found i had to cut a heap out of the centre hole including the vertical support bit, and completely cut out both the side holes in the bar. i didnt have to chop the fan blades on mine. i just made sure the exhaust piping was pushed up against the cam cover and away from the radiator blades. you will need to cut a hole through the side part of the engine bay just below the battery compartment though. the gts kit is very generic though, as it is made for r32/r33/r34. i found the support on one of the pipes was useless for my rb20det (the one that is sposed to bolt onto the engine block). pm for pics if you want
  4. wow a lot of tein super street coilover users here. i got mine fitted by chris at tyrezone capalaba. top bloke, excellent alignment as well (much better than what fulcrum had done earlier). massive difference in handling for my r32 gtst, i had kyb buzzspec shock s matched with what i think were the stock springs. less bodyroll now.
  5. i would like to order a rb20det for r32 gtst monster kit (bar n plate fmic for $600 delivered) thanks
  6. ride height is adjustable, currently at 100mm legal clearance from bottom most bit of the car (exhaust in my case). Im pretty sure it was just the stock r32 springs on there. yer a hell of a lot better. car doesnt seem to "float" no more, though thats a lot more to do with a better alignment and sitting lower than before ------- if you cant afford the teins, i would get the g4's with a 6/5 spring rate (front/back) if your after street comfort and occasional track use.
  7. sounds like the master cylinder might need reconditioning... this happened to me in my R32. master cylinder got resleeved
  8. i got the super streets (aus version) in my car. big improvement over the shitty KYB's shocks that were in previously. ive driven it on a very rough section up my street. before my car would bounce everywhere, requiring a heck of a lot of corrections, as well as a sore head. teins, hardly any corrections, and my head is thanking me 13/9 seems pretty insane.
  9. As per the topic, white would be awsome.
  10. this video rocks. r32 gtrs <3. they look so tough
  11. where are you located? interested in a rb20det AFMs. are they green sticker ones? how much?
  12. are you selling the AFM? also if you are is it a green sticker one? cheers
  13. ok getting the teins installed. quoted price is $2304 for a r32 gts
  14. yer, the seller is in adelaide, im in brisbane. so its hard to verify. he just claims they did 5k. its just like buying off a yahoo auction...could be dubious. and if the HKS need reconditioning, i midas well get the brand new teins. also fulcrum is 5 mins drive from me, they are so close.
  15. OK, my left shock has blown on my r32. since the rest of the shocks are the same age (they are KYB buzzspec shocks with what i think are the stock springs), its time to upgrade!! Might as well do it right the first time (stuff getting stock struts and springs). Of course theres the Tein Super Streets from fulcrum. everything i hear is good about them, but the price is a little "average" for me, about $2000 installed. I found a guy in adelaide who has HKS Hypermax D coilovers, which have 5000km's on them. I dont know the spring rates on them yet, but he reckons they are in good condition. They are $1200 apparently. Both sets of coilovers are height and dampener adjustable. This is the dilemma. The teins will be brand new, so I know what abuse they have had (ie. none), while the HKS are unknown (5000km's of drifting has to produce a bit of wear right?). the tiens also have a 2 year, 40K warranty. To get the HKS's i guess freight will need to be payed, so thats an extra $70, plus i need to put them on (i guess i can do that myself, or get a mate), and then get them aligned and adjusted properly, about $100. so that brings the HKS's to about $1400. fair bit less than the teins. I admit im a noob at suspension, I dont know much....i would love to hear your opinions guys!
  16. http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/R32-Fuses.htm might want to save that offline, sometimes it goes down
  17. all good...just did it was very very easy. the hoses just come out right at the back of the tank near where the tank protector is. very accessible, and very easy to change. all working now. (now to get that petrol off the back that sprayed on when the hose split on the motorway ) that'll serve me right for not looking harder
  18. electrical contact cleaner worked fine for my AFM
  19. Hi, Just replaced the old fuel pump with a walbro, but one of the hoses that goes from the pump to the chasis fuel rail split. its old and brittle, so time to replace them! however i cant for the life of me find where the hoses connect to on the chassis rails. i can see the chassis rails come up behind the diff and up behind the fuel tank, but then it dissapears... how do i replace these hoses? Thanks
  20. cheers 8) great help predator. not looking forward to this though.
  21. thanks for the tips. i got no gloves unfortunetly, so skin will come off. did you have to remove the brake resovoir assembly out of the way? or just stick you hand in and fiddle and pull it out? also did u empty the fuel lines before removing the filter? if you did, did you just let the fuel pump prime it by turning the ignition to on a couple of times? thanks! (yes im still a noob)
