  1. You might want to mention someone who 'knows' how to tune these. I think alot of people, including myself, are under the impression that getting these tuned in Australia is near impossible. I don't know anyone near me who can do them!
  2. Well Discpads.com will send 5 rotors anywhere in Australia for $40 so as long as its around there I am happy. Besides, who can wait? As soon as I buy something I want to fit. Everything must stop until they are fitted! I have had numerous things sent from UAS, Just Jap, JMS and Takas and it has always been reasonable.
  3. If they do the freight, I will get front & rear for my R33
  4. Will these guys post to Brisbane or is this offer only for Sydney people? I was in Sydney for Easter but don't plan to go back there for a couple of months. Might be able to get a friend to pickup but would rather frieght it up here.
  5. I would be interested! PM me if you want to sell. I know I am in Brisbane but I am sure we could organise something. I want it!
  6. Read the sticky on Bodgy Bodykits for R33 it should answer your question. I believe that your insurance could be effected by removing this bar, insurance companies take a dim view to any structural modification that are not engineer certified. Having said that you would probably be fairly unlucky to have them notice that. I have a GTR type bar on my 33 GTST and still have the front bumper support, it just has 2 small slots cut out for the N1 holes.
  7. I got A539s fitted the other day 235/45 17 all round, and so far I think they are great. When I got the car it came with Federals and the A539s are light years in front of these tyres in ALL conditions. I really couldn't afford them at the moment but I can testify with this car and others you pay for what you get. One of the best investments in performance handling will come from your tyre choice. Make a wise choice!
  8. I have got 36psi in mine. I have also got mine filled using Nitrogen. Seems good so far.
  9. I am keen just got to round up the cash, New tyres and suspension upgrades have left me broke. Good chance to test them out though!!
  10. No reply from Prank, anyone else?
  11. Great info. Thanks
  12. RON-15H It just a harness to plug your timer straight into your ignition. Just tidies it up and you don't have to slice your ingnition wires, Just plug it in! Prank - Email sent
  13. I had a Clubsport R8 driver do a similar thing to me the other day except I didn't even race him. I saw him come roaring up behind me doing the usual wanker tail gate thing. I was just doing the posted 60kph. Came up to a set of lights where he pulled out beside me. I was thinking to myself "Here we go". I keep my racing activities to the track, so when the light changed I just left normally and he proceeded to speed up the road. Then he started to waive as if he had just whipped me by four car lengths up to 60! What planet is this dude from. When I got up beside him I wound the window down where he proceeded to laugh out loud. What a Dickhead. When I told him that I didn't even start he was silent for about 5 sec then started to laugh again. What's the brain capacity? Times like that I think I should brake my restraint but really, whats the point. He did make the choice of owning a car that costs over twice as much as my skyline and has less performance pedigree. That says it all really!
  14. I was looking at the new Drift R wheel from ROH and they had a list of cars that they were available for in the little promo mag. This included R32-34 skylines GTS and GTR models, with the correct offsets for both. I was told this was very unusually for a non-japanese brand. Very cool looking! Come is 17 to 19 in! The promo picture was on a black R34, very nice. I think I found on either the UAS site or Takas site (or both) a listing that showed all of the correct offsets and other related numbers for wheels for all imports and their different models.
  15. Had to go to a wedding at Mt Mee on Friday. It started at 4pm, I got a puncture at 2pm. A peice of what looked like a bearing casing embedded in my tyre. Great, my tyres are only a 8 days old. Took it to Toombul on the space saver (not a good look) and they put it on the hoist straight away and repaired it for me at no charge! Still happy!
  16. I had a 998cc 77 Mini S, now I have a 1275 GT clubman mini, 82 Gemini Panelvan and a 94 R33, bought in that order!
  17. I got the harness with my Type 1 TT from Takas about 2 month ago, only when I went to fit it my car it already had the harness fitted. They must have taken the timer off when they sold the car. Should have checked first I suppose. Anyway I now have a HKS harness I don't need. Who wants it? $10
  18. Also sometimes called a non-turbulence dump pipe
  19. Slip organised a thing there a week or two ago and the manager handed out a bunch of "VIP" fleet discount cards. I don't know whether Paul got a few extras or whether you had to be there on the night?
  20. The old man has had both A509 and the A539 and he liked them both. He actually thought the 509s were a tad noisey. I was initially looking at the ES100 but as you said, there is a bit of trouble getting them at the moment, and besides like most people all my choices are a compromise between what I want and what my wallet can afford. The ES100 were really stretching the budjet and I am assuming they would be quite soft so mileage wouldn't be that great. I know if I am not too lead footed that the mileage with the 539 should be ok. Anyway, I have already done 1000k on the 539s and I can tell you the are light-years ahead of the Federals in ALL conditions. If the next step is just a big I would be impressed. The only people I have heard complaining about 539s are people with small/light cars, I assume this is because of the 539s relatively hard compound??? The old man loves them of his Commodore, hated them on his Lotus S1 replica. That sentiment seems to hold true at the club sprint/hillclimb events we attend.
  21. I agree, I have bought a number of thing through Taka's and was amazed how simple it was. And it really takes no time to get here. Highly recommended. And the prices are nearly always the cheapest!
  22. I had an early day today so needing new tyres for the Skyline I went and visited Steve at Bob Jane Toombul. I wanted 4 Yokohama A539s and I had intended to book it in for next Saturday. But he had them in stock ready to go in my size 235/45 R17. So I crumbled and got them then and there. Basically the straight saving on the tyres was about $85 on the cheapest quote I had gotten anywhere else. I also got the Nitrogen treatment and the works balancing at a discounted rate. All up a saving of over $100 and I have to say the car definately feels a hell of alot better. Shitty Federal tyres! In conclusion, I am extemely happy with the service, happy with the discount, and very happy with the car 'feel' afterwards. At this stage very satisfied and would like to thank Slip for organising this! THANK YOU! P.S. Even got a 'free' Yokohama windscreen heat shield thingy. Cool! Oh, and I also got another Nitrogen sticker, anyone need one?
  23. Yeah, real nice, close and honest, then you look at them the wrong way one day, then they want to kill you. And never forget it! And don't even talk to me about money deals, those tight arse, lying cheating bastards who in turn always like to look rich and tell you how rich they are. Yeah great. Look ppl. Lets not generalise, you have all made big generalisations here, as I just have. I live by the motto, All people start equal, then you treat them as they treat you. Eventually you will find yourself surrounded by people you are worth your time and effort. I have an Italian Auntie, Hungarian mate who I was best man for at his wedding last week, other good friends that are Greek and Italian. They are all great but I have other mates who are equally as good who are not 'ethnic'. I hate using that word. Not interested in people who seperate people according to their background. For the record, from my experience I rate Melbourne No. 1 pickup destination. They are soooo easy down there. Its not even picking up down there, they pick you up. Probably because I was the only non 'ethnic' looking guy there and they NEEDED a change. HAHA Jokes. Stop having a cry and get out there. There is a reason Melbourne/Sydney people are flocking to Queensland, and its not because of the money! There that my rant for the year.
  24. Its amazing how that works isn't it. They love nice cars but as soon as they see how much money they cost it becomes a competition thing. You want a nice car, you have to pay for it! Between house repaymentscar repayments buying stuff for the car, I don't leave alot left over, just depends where your priorities are I guess. Mine at the moment is the car, 4 yrs ago it was saving for a house, before that it was Party Hard! Its your choice!
  25. Yeah, I am interested, front and rear R33 GTST.
