  1. Looks mint Alex, nice one.
  2. Thanks mate, looks good. Still undecided if I'm going to get one of these or stupidly get something like Passat instead.
  3. Do the PMs come with an aero kit? Are wings an option? (I haven't seen any) My guess is the only alternate factory kit is the AXIS?
  4. Yep, just the sort of feedback I was looking for. Thanks
  5. Digging this one up.. I know Craig is razzing the 3.5L owners - but in all seriousness, what are they like stock for stock? Still enough power for a fun run through the hills? I'd be looking at a RWD only model - I like the idea of the simplicity for a change. Is the suspension the same as an AWD PNM35 or different? Been keeping an eye out for them in SA but haven't come across one yet for a test drive.. I figure for the most part they are the same M35 aside from the obvious drivetrain/engine differences.
  6. S2 C34's sure can look tidy. That is a perfect example, nice one mate.
  7. I assume that the PNM/PM35's are like the NM35's and come with a Bose option while also having a normal stereo? And I also assume that like every Bose car system ever, it's best to avoid?
  8. Really? I couldn't find anything on Carsales..
  9. Anything ever come of these Chef? The world needs more fun wagons.
  10. Remap for power and economy. Most tunes will end up giving better fuel economy and more power. From there it depends on how you drive it as what the figures will be.
  11. Keep us posted with how you go Chef. I'm interested too, the simplicity of PNM35's really appeals to me as I don't drive in snow/icy conditions. Non turbo is a big win also given how "one of a kind" the NM35 turbos are. Without driving one it's hard to know how they are power wise - reading the specs a bit more than the NM35's from factory but obviously a lot easier to pull more out of a NM35 without more major modifications (bolt ons, mainly). My other concern is fuel economy. I used to get excellent economy out of my NM35 - just over 10L/100km around town assuming I was wearing my sensible pants and as low as 8L-9L/100km on the highway without air cond. I think if I bought a PNM35 I'd be organising a remap for it so I'd be hoping that I would be able to get those sort of economy figures out of one.
  12. Yep, I followed yours with interest but I guess if I was going to go with a PNM35 it would be because it's NA. Adding a turbo would ruin the simplicity that I like about them. What is a reasonably sort of power figure to get out of one without ridiculous mods? Say intake and exhaust with a remap? Or do they need cams, etc?
  13. Have either of you done any power modding? Is anything worth doing aside from a tune? I imagine minimal gains from exhaust/intake..
  14. Uh oh. Thinking about buying another M35. Was seriously thinking about a R36 Passat but after closer inspection they are bigger and heavier than both NM35 (200kg heavier) and PNM35 (~80kg heavier).. assuming my specification sources are accurate. So tell me about these PNM35's lads - what is stock power like compared to a stock NM35? How is fuel economy? I know a lot of you don't care but lets be honest, petrol prices are only going in one direction. Any things that are highly desirable on them like the NM35? Trans cooler, shift kit, upgraded radiator? Any other common problems?
  15. So is that it? Stagea to stay as is now mate?
  16. search and you shall find. i ran +20's and they were fine
  17. What are the 350's getting for fuel economy?
  18. Nah it's awesome around town. You can pay the petrol bill in loose change. Just looking for something for longer out of town travels.
  19. Rainy day in Canada. Considering what to buy upon return to Oz (if we return). Passat AWD wagon I like.. Trusty Stagea? Hmmm..
