Thanks pixel8r, that was really helpful, I'm after 200kw at the wheels, if I happen to make more power then that's a bonus Apexi SAFC was another piggy back I was looking at, as I'm after something to ensure there is a good A/F ratio going through the engine with these mods. Thanks for all the reply's, given me something to think about.

Hey, I've been doing a bit of searching and still unsure of which piggy back I should use. Car is automatic 96 R33 GTS25t Mods: - Full 3" exhaust system with split dump pipe - 600x300x76 FMIC - POD filter with cold air box - HKS FCD Parts sitting in my garage about to go on: - Garret T04 turbo - New turbo manifold - Fuel pressure regulator - Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump So what piggy back would give me the best performance on a automatic with these mods? I can easily get a "GReddy E-Manage" would this be perfect?

I'm Getting Bad Boost Cuts/boost Leak
daxter replied to Richy's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Sounds like your fuel cut may be coming on. Don't use a bleed valve there prone to spiking. And don't let your friends touch your car, get qualified mechanics to do all work. -
Hey is anyone using one of these or know much about them? My R33 GTS25t came with one and I'm wanting to know how this thing works. I.e. what setting should be used for the Skyline. Any advice on using this FCD would be much appreciated. Thanks

HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
daxter replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
I connected the wire back up and it just kept running the same. So I have know idea what’s going on there. It does not matter anymore though, I got a FCD and a ball and spring boost tap, running 10psi quite happy. -
HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
daxter replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
I tried this last night, I cut the black wire and earthed the black wire coming out of the solenoid then taped up the black wire going to the ecu. However nothing has changed, the car runs 5psi till about 4500rpm then goes up to 8psi, I have a boost gauge so I can see what psi I'm running. So whats happing?? should I try find a better earth? I sanded back the metal in the engine bay then bolted the wire down, thought that would be a perfect earth. -
You need a fuel cut defender to go over 10psi, but I wouldn't with the factory fuel system and computer.

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
daxter replied to CEF11E's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Is this type a bleed valve boost controller? Because if it is I would say the ball and spring type would be far better. -

Holycrap, all I can say is if you don't have one of these, THEN GET ONE. Turbo response is incredible now. I'm never going to touch that GFB Atomic Boost Controller again. I feel like taking the day off work and go driving all day now hahaha -

Could it be dropping pressure at the top of the rev range due to air bleeding back out the hole that has been drilled? -
ahhh ok, thanks for that

Hey does anyone know what the wires coming from the seat belts are for? (Apart from turning off the seat belt light on the dash) I noticed wires coming from the passenger’s seat belt and was wondering if there connected to the air bags in anyway.

Where To Get Oem Anti-squeal Shims?
daxter replied to lukits01's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
Hi, really sorry for digging up this thread, but I wanted to ask if those anti-squeal shims are worth having? I got quoted $146.87 + gst for the factory hardware kit (Part Code: 41080K Part Number: 41080-21U25 "HARDWARE KIT - FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD”) that MerlinTheHapyPig posted. So those of you that have these shims on your skyline would you say there worth it? Do they really make that extra difference? I’ve had new slotted rotors and pads fitted on my R33 GTS25t and the brakes STILL squeal Will these 146.87 + gst shims save my ears and the peoples ears down the road and the birds that fly away when they here me braking?
