Why So Hard To Sell A Skyline?
Mecha replied to Spiderman's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
$14-15k without rego. -
S1 S14s are shockingly ugly. They look like the front lights of a Camry. You’re never going to turn heads in that thing. Don’t get this unless you plan on giving it a strawberry face (S15) latter. 33 is great if you want to do 0 - 25 knots in under ten seconds 32 is a 15 year old car.

Is it worth pissing it off and getting a 350D as said in other topics? or is the difference marginal for someone of my skill level?

Hi, I have had this camera for a while now and i want to start getting into photography and learn how to take real photos. I guess I would like a decant camera to start off with. Right now I have an old Panasonic (Lumix) DMC-FZ10. Is this camera any good? Here is the review at dpreview.com. Its all a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me so can someone just tell me if its good or out of date? Review HERE

Why So Hard To Sell A Skyline?

OK, Well I got some more info; compliance doesn’t matter if it’s S1 or S2. We can DEFINATLY get it done for $2200 + tires so even in this case it can be done cheaper. And I have been told from a VERY reliable sources that it can now be done for $1250 (not $1200 like I previously said) + tires, but I guess this price is not 100% confirmed as we have not had the chance to bring in a 33 and get it complied there. Either way if someone was to import a 33 through us we would defiantly follow this $1250 price up. Worst case scenario you can get it done for $2200. Still a saving. -

Sorry I don’t know all my 33 info off by heart, we don’t do that many of them (we do mainly euro stuff). But the $1200 price is a definate. True but I think you may need a separate certificate to comply them. You nee a separate certificate for 2 door, 4 door, gtr etc except for non turbos which can be brought it. -

I noticed yours is a S2. If i can get all this info to you in the morning, but in your defence the $1200 price may be for S1 only. I can have a look for you if you wish. -

Is that including tires? Don’t mind me asking the around about figure of what the car will cost after compliance? -

Yep, there is something like 80+ workshops doing 33s at the moment. So add another $300 for tyres and you have a full compliance. -

R32 = Hotcakes R33 = Rolling tumbleweed Probably due to the fact r33s are so common and now you can get compliance for $1200 the market is flooded. We don’t like to touch 33s for this reason unless it’s a nice colour, manual and overall in very good condition On the other hand the 32s looks like people can’t get enough. We still get calls for 32s that we sold a month prior. And it is this reason you can buy a 33gtst for 14k and cheaper and 32 gtst for about the same price. -
Meh, i want to take mine out. Save some weight
-
14k is the max i would pay for a gtst so it would have to be very very clean.
