  1. FYI - this product being discussed has Geo fencing. That is you can set up a small area on a map, and when your car leaves that designated area it texts and calls you(?) "Geo-fencing will cost per text and when it calls you and you answer it. If you leave it run, get a missed call then no charge. Call it back and connect to your Laptop/PC to see where it is. It will also send you a text message with its co-ordinates. Doubly covered!" Why pay hundreds of dollars for montoring??? Self monitoring has to be the future. I'm prepared to give this a go/test in my daily drive. And only one installer I'd trust.
  2. Hi Samuri, I'm in same boat as you. And also have narrowed my research to considering this same unit. Although have found it a little cheaper on Ebay UK. I can't see any problems with voltage as recharging is via the car 12v system. I certainly believe this is very cheap for an impressive 'live real-time' tracker and the fact you are not paying a third party in monitoring. It also seems quite transferrable. Like any tracker, a quality install and well hidden is paramount.
  3. R31Nismoid, I use to own a HT Monaro in the early 90's. I spent probably $30k + and sold it restored in 1996 for $12k. And that was a good price then. Now market prices are $50k - $80k ++. Now I can tell you from experience the Monaro drove like a piece of shit...even after spending big bucks. A worn out 32 still handles better that any early model Monaro. Don't be so sure with market prices and old cars...
  4. Transdirect http://www.transdirect.com.au/ I've used them a few times. reliable, quick and inc insurance & tracking. Much cheaper than those mentioned above too.
  5. In the first year or so after the collapse it was Terry-Crews. Yet as he has since left, more recently it has been Mark-Pallister.
  6. Dear "Quikbux employee", I believe your company's integrity and actions has been highly questionable. I was a long time loyal QLD customer was has been ignored and forgotten since 12th Sep 2008. Since then; You stood by as your administators set legal action of false unpaid monitoring fees against me. (and many others here) You promised to honour my remaining credit, yet this has not happened to date. You deducted monies from my account this year when I had no services. Not surprisingly, nor would I recommend giving money to this company. Not so much for the questionable way they ran the business, but more so for the lesson unlearnt; They have difficultly appreciating the importance of doing the right thing by the customer. I can't believe they have the hide to come here sprout their 'improved' product directly to customers they have burnt. Here's a free business tip; take a course in service recovery. If you ever get a consious, you can start with me.
  7. Sorry error here it's KLO (spark silver) not BLO (greyish blue pearl) pictured.
  8. The only 'bird feeding' of the day was when the bush the sphincter of the universes stole our picnic lunch. One created a diversion whilst his crafty buddy grabbed our 1/2 loaf of bread and ran off. Damn them bush the sphincter of the universes!
  9. Note to self...do not trust BOM radar. The 256km radar had nothing of concern. .. yet within 30mins it was bucketing. (must of developed locally) First 1/2 hour of cruise was in rain...after that it was pretty clear and was a enjoyable run.
  10. Weather Radar says.........YES well we should be ok for a few hours at least.
  11. I'm a possibility too. Depends....on weather...

  15. I went through this same decision about a year ago. In the end chose the mazda 2 and have been very happy. Ultimately it handled far better and felt far safer (for a small car). I believe the honda jazz merely loaded the larger body onto the honda civic chassis. Drive both of them...you'll see what I mean. oh..The fold down/roll forward rear seats in mazda 2 are fanastic too. With the rear seats forward I have even been able to transport large items such as a fully boxed diswasher (even standing up!) etc. I suspect the mazda 2 will hold resell better too. It's packaged well as a sporty stylish small car.
  16. Name: Rob Car: R32 GT-R V SPEC Area: Redcliffe way MSN: PM me
  17. Ok ....yes I have searched first, which has helped a little, but not so much with the PRE-PURCHASE SELECTION of preferred brands / models / sizes etc. As such I'm really keen to hear from R32 owners with fitted oil coolers. I'd appreciate advice with; * recommended brands / models * row size (No doubt bigger the better but how many rows or width is too big limiting install locations?) * thermostat versions (hype or value) best fitting location of both * the cooler * remoted filter * filter point up or down? (would image down, but seen others here point up) I guess my preference for the cooler location would be in the front bar at the driver's side vents (space permitting??) Any brands standard allow for this? Do any or all brands have a tank plug on the cooler for draining? I apologise in advance if these are stupid questions...or if asked a 1,000 times b4. I'll accept links for answers as well. I'm just lost for choice atm and looking for unbiased recommendations. Thanks guys.
  18. Photo of my previous effort below. The trouble I found when seeking the best mounting location was ensuring I was capturing clear full vision over the shoulder (which dictated locating the camera high and rear....maybe why others have gone to the parcel shelf) I found the monopod was great for allowing me to not only easily adjust the camera height but also the camera pointed angle. I'd propose maybe some sort of combination of ideas with the headrest mount and a monopod?? The monopod could also extend to the floor to minimise any seat vibration or flex. Anyway .....just another idea.
  19. Supposed to be like that. I believe it merely benefits the boot ventilation. Not good if you have a body in the boot I guess.
  20. Yep have actually noticed that before....would be worth a check with the offset. Anyone know a Brisbane owner of a 99-03 Liberty with B4's that would entertain an offset comparsion?
