  1. hey mate.. got a used cat back for sale.. trust power extreme 2 (PEII).. unarguably one of the best exhausts for the r32... produces power and won't attract attention from the cops cos its quiet as... can't find them anymore either cos trust has gone under... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tr...-S-t262636.html
  2. Hi, as topic above states: FOR SALE: Trust Power Extreme II (PEII) Cat Back Exhaust system Condition: Used, just under a year old. Slight scratches on the underside... not noticeable when fitted though. Was run on a stock R32 gtst with the only other modification being a pod filter. Price: $650 Location/Delivery Options: Located in Sydney. It quite easily transportable as it is two pieces (fits in the back seat of my r32). Prefer pick up. Contact: Serious buyers only please. Enquires to 0413 895 385 or [email protected] Other Info: As you all know this exhaust preceeds its own reputation.. quiet as hell on idle (sounds close to the stock exhaust's volume) with a mean growl on half-full throttle. Has been known to produce high power figures as well! So there's no compromise with this exhaust! Bought this exhaust a while back brand new so it is from the good batch of trust products.. has only been on the car for just under a year. Trust items as such are becoming extinct and harder to find these days as they have recently declared bankruptcy! Have had ZERO problems with install and use.. coppers don't look twice at my car either! Exhaust is off the car and ready to go. Only a few minor scatches (see pics). Cheers, Ben.
  3. mate... you are a f*cking legend kudos to you for creating this thread... worked perfectly... infact i had the same bad solder point as you did in your pics... it was one of the plug soldering connections... worked a treat man... i owe ya
  4. cool thanks for ur help.. so i'm guessing the oil capacity is anywhere from 4.2ltrs to 4.5? While i'm at it... i'll take photo's..
  5. Hi all. ** Ok I searched already. All the stuff on this forum regarding oil change is for the R33.. I'm going to have a lackey (friend) handy on sat so I can make him do the photo taking. Thus I can write up a proper guide specific to the R32 GTST. I want to change my oil and oil filter this weekend for my RB20DET R32 skyline. This is going to be the first time i've ever done an oil change. Need a few questions answered before I start. They will be general questions, as i'm following Sciby's R33 oil change guide as a general guideline. 1. What is the general oil capacity for the RB20DET? 2. What type of oil filter is needed for the RB20DET? Brand recommendations? 3. Any tips on reaching the oil filter in the stock position? (looks like a hard to reach place.. plus looks like i'll be getting engine oil all over that area) 4. Any other handy tips before i start? Cheers, if I successfully get it done i'll post a proper guide with pictures by next week. Ben.
  6. lol... i'm guessing they ripped the swivelling badge off your boot lock right? how does that make it any easier for them to break into your boot? LOL.. when all it does is cover the boot lock. imo i'd leave it.. my bet is you'll go through the hassle of changing everything then the same punks will laugh and come and badge it again...
  7. umm unfortunately you're wrong. Because I'm at fault. they have the choice of repairer. They don't have any obligation by law to get anymore than one quote. If they do it is out of their own good will or stupidity. Think about it. Why would you, say if u got crashed, go to the cheapest repairer.. i'd go to the most expensive one just to ensure a good job. The only thing you can do in this situation is to dispute the costs and say that it doesn't justify the damage that was done. And if the guy you crashed has already repaired the car then your pretty much fcuked. So advice: if your going to settle outside of insurance.. keep on the persons back to get the quotes and scare them into getting it (legally). Try to sort things out before he goes and repairs the car. Take photo's. and finally. Don't crash people -_-
  8. yeah.. HOWEVER. the bill is for 1700 (for some reason the front page on the demand letter isn't inclusive of gst) and my excess is $1800 Sometime's I wonder. Justcar is the single biggest rort int his country. technically its only uses are if you cause more than about $2000 damage. Anything less and your kidding yourself by paying $1000 a year for their shitty service. Well update: I've managed to get a a hold of some photo's of the guys car from his insurance. Looks worse than i remembered it to be.. but then again i was a little hazed going from cruising to get a feed in the morning to a $3000 car crash Not sure if i can even dispute it.
  9. yeah.. in hind sight thats what i should have done so tip for those out there TAKE PHOTO'S OF DAMAGE AT THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT also.. try and get the other guys reccount of what happened on paper. its just abit sudden.. ur crusiing along and then crash.. ur world gets thrown around and u forget to do silly little things like that -_-
  10. ok an honest description of the damage to his car.. a tennis ball sized circular dent which goes in about 2-3mm and has cracked the paint. this is on the right centre of his rear bar.. the rear bar so popped out A LITTLE on the right side.. so that there was a .5mm-1cm gap only on the right side of his rear bar where it connects to his rear quarter panel. So in all of this.. i agree with the replacement of the rear bar.. most likely the reo was dented.. and since he's milking it.. he would probably replace it... but there was absolutely no damage to the paint of any other panels..
  11. sorry ... forgot to mention that i only have third party fire and theft.. and if you've had experience with justcar.. i'm pretty sure you'd know that i am really reluctant to go through them. my excess is a few hundred short of what he's asking for.. and jsutcar charge through the roof as it is
  12. Hi all. I recently got into a car accident. Maybe some of you have been through this so advice will help. Long story short. I rear ended a white 2000 hatch model corrolla. It was at low speed approx 5km/hr. The damage to his car was a circular crack about the size of a tennis ball to his rear bar. that was all. It was pretty much my fault. I spoke to him and he agreed to deal with it privately. Next thing you know I get a letter from his insurance company asking for $1900. Do you guys think that is roughly around a fair price? According to the quote he's repainting both rear quater panels, replacing the rear bar and reo as well as many other miscelaneous things. I really dont believe it'd cost that much to repair the minor damage. What options do I have? I'm pretty sure i'm entitled to an independant quote. But does that mean i choose a panel beater for the quote or? Thanks guys ... its doing my head in -_-

  16. pedals start to usually squeek as summer hits as the heat dries up the lube... that or your clutch is on its way out... most likely the above though
  17. i have one.. though its in sydney.. have the dump/front catback
  18. i'm guessin they're going to feature it in an episode. anyone know when and which ep?
  19. umm when my clutch cylinder leaked and had to get repaired.. it wasnt bled in properly. The clutch friction point was as what you describe. It was RIGHT at the top/end of the peddle. I then took the car for a trash and noticed it was slipping like crazy from 4-6000 rpm. Took car back to mech and he stuck his head under the dash where the pedals are and adjusted something.. the pedals friction point then sat at a lower position. From what he told me... the clutch pedal should have some free play at the top of the pedal.. if it doesnt it could mean 1 of two things.. either a. the clutch pedal needs to be adjusted or b. the clutch is on its way out
  20. well the point i'm trying to get at is: No kit = $90 kit = $160 (only extra thing is a 5cm L bracket (for my r32 anyway)) so just try to get someone to send a pic of the r34 bracket to you and just make it yourself..
  21. the power intake kits specific to each car model usually come with brackets etc.. i'm not too sure about the R34 one, but its like $60 more expensive and its only one little L bracket about 5cm long.. seriously.. if i had known i would have made my own. To make your own, all you need to buy is an L bracket ($1) and bash it into shape with a clamp and a hammer. It'll save you that $60. Or if your that lazy just take it to a fabricator.. wont cost you more than $10-$15
  22. gtr-32u.. read his post properly whre bouts in syd u located?
  23. LOL your turbo timer is no where near an immobiliser.. your car turning off when the hand brake is dropped is more a safety feature. Please invest in a proper alarm system with a good install. Even if you do have the car fully insured.. its a pain to get a pay out and even then you'll still be in a loss with time/money
