  1. I would have that repaired in the near future. That's an important part of the chassis, it would be a concern when it comes to a roadworthy check too. As mentioned before It would take a while to fix that, carefully seperating the rail from the spot welds and welding another rail in it's place. It's definitely worth fixing if you intend to keep it, plus it's a GTR!
  2. 1 bar = 14.5Psi 1 psi = 0.06895 BAR So for 11Psi... 11 x 0.06895 = 0.75845 BAR. 14Psi = 14 x 0.06895 = 0.9653 BAR
  3. While changing the belt make sure u replace the studs, it's cheap insurance for less than $10.
  4. Today I rang Nissan to get a price on an R33 RB25DET oil pump. I was told that in the R33 series there is 17 different types of oil pumps (rb20-26). There are also more than 2 different oil pumps list for the 25det. I'm not sure which one to get and which one would fit. I've read back through all the pages and know that the later R33 RB25DET requires the JUn adaptor, I'm after the direct fit pump. I was asked for a chassis number so the right oil pump could be matched to the engine, I dont have a skyline so that would be rather difficult. If anyone could pass their vin number or the part number onto me who has used their 25 oil pump on a 30det would be much appreciated.
  5. Renault have a made an F1 bred V10 van some years ago.
  6. I bought 2xRB30 studs from Nissan, it's only $5. I'm not using the smaller studs where the spring sits up against.
  7. Yes that's right, it suits the 1.8L motor used in VW passats and Audi A4's. Going by engine codes they would be the same motor. The belts costs approx $40 from most auto parts shops. I'd check my 94407 belt but its stored among the other parts.
  8. The MONARO has a long and interesting history, shame on you!. PS: Grow up
  9. Speaking from experience, I've tried fitting a R32 gtr clutch to a 32 Rb26 with an Rb20det box, I found the diameter of the input shaft to be different, the GTR driven plate wouldnt slide onto the Rb20det input shaft. From memory there are 2 different sized/spline GTR clutches.
  10. I have a R33 N1 5 spd which I will be converting to RWD. From what I've read (but not seen) is that the rear of the gearbox's internals is removed (for the front) and the rear extenstion housing modified (reduce in size). I have dismantled and rebuilt gearboxes in the past, but not GTR ones, the gearbox is going behind a RB30DET in a 240Z. The shifter seems to be postioned further back than on other RWD boxes, in the pics attached it looks like a shifter could be mounted further forward. If anyone can contribute it would be appreciated as the info on the net is sketchy at the best of times. Lots of progress pics to come
  11. Have you done a compression check on the Rb30DET? if so what psi was it? What psi should a RB25DET be assuming it's 9:1
  12. Marty's smash has done many showcars that make it into magazines :uh-huh: Marty's Smash Repairs 42-44 Church Street. Wickham 02 49615651
  13. The toy shop is based in Newcastle (Cardiff and hamilton)' date=' not sure if it's assciated with the one in Sydney. http://www.japimports.com.au/ The Sydney one: http://www.toyshop.com.au/
  14. Anyone know if the ratios in a R33 GTR N1 5 speed is the same as a normal GTR box? What are the ratios?.
  15. Your right Sumo, the reason for changing the front ratio is because the rear diff has had it's ratio changed.
  16. Can the front diff in GTRs and GTS4's have the diff ratio changed, ie to 3.7:1 (Rb30DET). Has anyone done it before?
  17. Hey I recognise those SLO31 plates, from certain industrial areas around brisbane on weekends a while back. Been to the "circuit" lately :warning:
  18. Nothing comes up under a search for LPG, could someone tell us the other problems associated with LPG?
  19. I believe LINK do something similar, the advan r33 GTR/GTS4 uses 12 injectors.
  20. With the price of fuel becoming a joke I'm keen at changing the RB25DET to LPG. With 107-109 there would be no problems with octane ratings, the only place that i can find that does Efi style of gas conversions are these guys: www.gas-injection.com PS: Look at the 20V 4AGE Are the valve seats on Rb25's strong enough for cope with LPG and has anyone done it before? i'm keen to see if it can be used with a powerfc
  21. I have a RB25DET and manual box from a R33 in a 240Z. I know the speedo varies between 1-5 volts depending on speed, but how is the signal sent? ie wave sine....
  22. John, last year you were selling stainless steel high mount exhaust manifolds for the rb25. Have you experienced problems with these and have you tested these manifolds?.
  23. It was made by Mitsabishi Elelctric.
