  3. oh that and they are 500usd for a t4 flange.. a guy on ebay made some the SAME for $100 but got sued by sound performance coz they have a patent pending on it... evan though borg warner patented the concept using a valve in the actual turbine housing....lol

  6. yes meant to be fully open to avoid surge in the afm's. they must be plumbed back if using asn airflow meter the factory gtr valves crap all over aftermarket ones
  7. going of that picture, the vl one will fit the later cranks, as the flats are not on the gear the whole way so it can slip over

  9. use moly lube, torque to 100nm.. block the oil feed if you want, but i wouldnt. being hydrolic lifters.. vacume cleener for the bores. turn over the engine to get the pistons up and get the rest out.

  11. the vl or rb30 pumps run a steel inner gear/sleeve then that mates to the conventional oil pump.. not the sinterd type of later.. but i dont think the flow is up there. ps, they are a spur gear type aswell and do cavitate at high revs. external is better. id look at the calias forum to back it up..

YEAH, most of our take kids that help out at the rounds are from the woodonga tafe... great idea but gives them limmited mechanical ability. all are there for the love of the sport but the subjects they teach are not on par with your averge automotive tafe cirt.. the main objective is to open the door for working on a race team. without them we would be very overworked at the track.

  16. i tried that. they break. but look really nice. on a 6cy no drams but did one on a sr20, fell to bits from the vibration.
  17. i didnt get custom ones made coz i didnt have them, but rather because the kept getting burned but the wastgate.. to close. so with abit of welding i made up a -8 teflon line.. been on there for ages with no leaks.

  19. i bought a rotomax 25 from the usa. (foredom rebadged) its a flex shaft tool. came with a foot pedal and does 20k rpm. has enough power to drive 30mm flap discs into a port well until you overload it and the cable spirals up... new cable is 50 bucks and comes with a set of brushes for the motor.. best $300 ive ever spent. i will never use a die grinder again. also as its a foredom about 10 differant hand pieces are available with collets or the economy one with a mini jacobs chuck. ps. a die grinder uses more are than a rattle gun

  21. injectors will be cheaper than 2x 8cm housings.. i priced up one for my oldschool td06-19c had a 14cm one.. at close to 800 a housing i put a t04e on (fj20 dr30)
  22. yeah those motec deflection sensors are spastic expencive... and the add-on amplifer box for it aswell. but, there is nothing better yes i will be having a throttle kicker style real antilag. but my povo smc dont have enough outputs to run all the flatshift,antilag,launchcontol and idlespeed control all at once....
  23. by "freeplay" you should be able to push the fork forward to lift it of the clutch.. ie, as long as its not bottomed out and the fork can be moved by hand its ok. it will always rest on the pressure plate. just aslong as its got some movment.. if you unbolt the slave it should flop about
  24. no problems then. hopfully you have already put gtr headbolts in.. and a 26 headgasket of corse.
