  1. Still for sale? Brand new is $429 from another seller atm, so how does $300.00 sound?
  2. Is this alarm system going to be endorsed/accepted by the Insurance companies? Most specifiy requirements of 3 points immobilisation... how much extra cost are we looking at for the additional 2? Are you based in Sydney?
  3. It depends on what phone is used to do the tracking... GPRS and a tri-band system would allow for triangulation accurate to an area roughly about 50 square metres. However, if your car is parked underground where there is no reception, then this is a negative. I think the Brant system had this problem? Pity you have such strict clientele requirements, would be worth a look at otherwise. Can I ask why it's only 1 pt immobilisaion?
  4. Nope sorry dude... the cheapest I can get off the shelf on all four corners is about $2.5K brand new.
  5. Hmmm well the guys who imported my car offered them to me as an "upgrade" LOL You should know before hand that these kits come with the car when they are imported. They are however removed and replaced with stock suspension so that they can make an extra buck! Use this knowledge to your advantage I guess?
  6. Do you mean where?
  7. SO JEALOUS!!! They want $300.00 (without paint or fitment) for that same lip!
  8. Got my www.skylinesaustralia.com sticker today... hopefully more spotting power LOL
  9. Hey Binky, sorry to interrupt with your quest for the offset... but is that a GTR front lip on your GTT? That is mounted to the standard bar right? Where did you get it and for how much if you don't mind me asking... Sorry to interrupt once again
  10. I'm all for SAU and all, but I think Team Illusive is trying to incorporate a much bigger audience (just look at the type of cars they are wanting)... Either way, as mentioned above - the more clubs the merrier, kinda keeps the competition flowing and makes the clubs want to "out-shine" each other!
  11. Just get a piece of plastic that is the same colour as your car and use it as backing between the plate and the bar... that will make it look better me thinks
  12. Hmmm, now that you put it that way... common sense has told me that it is not good
  13. Hey DarkZero, can you please elaborate on what was actually done? Perhaps with a photo if possible... this sounds quite interesting. pavel, what do you mean by "slows the turbo down"? Thanks all
  14. $300.00 sounds alright for that type of damage... I just had a section of my front bar resprayed recently and that was $200 (no beating, just sand, fibreglass and spray) Go for the $300. it sounds ok.
  15. please explain "anit-hijacking"... I know what Brant alarms are, but anti hijacking is a new term to me
  16. Jitesh, I think you got it the wrong way round. The European cars are the one with an auto-leveler system (required in AUS) and the Japanese cars don't. The motor gear set required to make them legal would be out of question for most importers. Hence the switch to halogen. Noxious, if you can get your hands on the original xenons from anywhere... GET THEM! They are worth it and will definitely give you less dramas... not to mention they look FULLY SIK (sorry, just had to add that )
  17. Hello Admin... Just some more feedback on the forums. Most of the stuff has been fixed up but there is still one consistent problem that happens to me no matter which computer I go to. <_< Every now and again I have major lag from the forum site. This means really slow loading times, half complete or nothing at all loading, pictures and banners missing, or an error message from the server. I'm not sure if it's got to do with my hardware but it's an intermitant thing. Just my little input for today Keep up the good work...
  18. I seriously think that putting it into tip-auto mode is fantastic! Especially with TCS switched off and all... However, as zymotic has said... more time on boost, more fun, = less fuel
  19. I second the thought that TEINS rock! Have a set of HA Fully Adjustables with the damper control as well... FULLY SIK BRO on all four corners. I apid $700 for mine, but that price included one or two other things as well. If you don't have them, it is highly recommended!
  20. The Front Plate on the S1 simply needs some spacers as you have mentioned. The Rear Plate is a perfect fit (with no space for anything else) I have the Black on White NSW Plates... may be different for other plate styles!
  21. If the 2000 model front bar is the same as the 1998 model front bar then it should be fine. Even in the rear!
  22. Just found this, hot off the press! Carjackers, armed and after luxury cars in Sydney, have been foiled in their attempt to steal two cars worth more than $500,000. About 10.20pm (AEST) last night a 66-year-old man was attacked by two men - one armed with a handgun, in Haymarket, in Sydney's CBD, police said. The attackers demanded the man hand over the keys to his $185,000, 2005 model Mercedes, as he was making his way to a restaurant. He was assaulted and threw his keys on the ground when he saw the handgun. The carjackers could not start the Merc and had to abandon their bid to steal it when two people in a taxi saw the incident and came to help. The would-be carjackers got into a stolen silver Nissan Skyline parked in Sussex St and escaped, police said. The attack appears to be linked to an earlier carjacking attempt where a number of men tried to steal a $400,000 Mercedes convertible in Wolseley Rd at exclusive Point Piper in Sydney's east. As the men approached, the owner drove to Rose Bay police station. Advertisement AdvertisementThe men were seen leaving in a silver Nissan Skyline. The incidents follow an attack on a 49-year-old man by two masked men when he returned to his Rose Bay home in his black two-door coupe at about 9.15pm (AEST) on Thursday. After fighting the men, the owner retreated and watched as they sped off down New South Head Road in the car, worth about $500,000. That case was believed to be linked to a July 29 incident where a gang stole a Mercedes-Benz from a man reversing into his Vaucluse garage, also in Sydney's east. That vehicle was used in a string of hotel robberies. AAP Source: Sydney Morning Herald Now can anyone tell me why Skylines are so damn popular when people are using them to commit crimes? And also, the more important question... anyone lose a silver Skyline?
