  1. Shotgun! Wouldn't mind a ride in that crazy thing of yours Rich..
  2. Ah ok thanks mate, I speak to Mark from time to time. Very helpful guy at Motec. I'll have to look into this. Can you not safely just give the TPS signal directly to the ETS computer as it is?
  3. Well I can tell you that my CAS is running off the stock ECU at the moment and therefore 12v supply to it. I have it wired to both the Motec and stock ECU - no problems. It was also suggested to me that it is good to run the 'clean' regulated 8v out of the Motec to power the CAS. But I haven't tried this to see what the standard ECU thinks about that... Where did you get the info on the circuit required as a matter of interest?
  4. Cameron, how did you go with this? Looking to tidy up and remove the std ECU myself. Attessa only needs a TPS signal does it not? And Motec can drive the tacho directly? I've only just started to look into it - anything else to look out for do you know?
  5. subscribed. Be interested to see where this goes guys.
  6. Sorry Luke I didn't see this post until just now. The forum is broken and doesn't always email me when there is a reply! I'll include the postage in the price if you like
  7. ATI / Ross balancers are neutral balance Dave. You can put them on to your motor as is.
  8. Hi Guys, Virtually brand new ATI Harmonic Balancer. Done about 500km's, still on car. Comes with black anodized water pump pulley etc. Nothing wrong with it, in fact I'd keep it but instead I am getting a different crank trigger set up and unfortunately can not use this balancer in this situation. $550.
  9. White 34 GTT, black wheels and Sauwa sticker. Up at Armadale KFC just driving out. P plates and the GF in the passenger seat. Looked pretty good. Car wasnt too bad either.
  10. Good to see you got it sorted mate. well done to Rob for figuring that out. Re the Attesa etc - that's what I DID leave my stock ECU in for. Motec runs all fuel/ignition and engine requirements, left ECU to take care of anything else.

Thanks mate! Nice to have a comment made!
  12. Yep, running M800 here and no dramas like you are having. And yes the motec runs the injectors - I don't even understand why you would keep the stock ECU to run the injectors - doesn't that defeat the purpose?? Sorry I can't help you with your ignition issue, but on the point of Motec running ITB's, yes indeed you can. As Doo-Doo pointed out, tune it all up on TP, then do a secondary load map based on MAP. Have you tried asking the question on the Motec forum in case they can help?
  13. My choice of pads isn't real cheap but they are very good and look after your rotors too. Try pagid rs14 or rs19. They're excellent. Having said that I have for sale some used Project Mu hatted rotors to r32 GTR. Lots of guys that were cracking DBA's have not had probs with these. Mine haven't done lots of work either. Also have GTR calipers and brand new Endless pc35's still in their box.
  14. haha! But grasshopper.. is the gas moving through the exhaust, or is the gas standing still and exhaust moving over the gas...?
  15. Entered! Looking forward to this. Had a ball last year calling shotgun next to Gav and belting pretty much anything down the front straight! Hmm.. might need a special 2 bar, VP109 tune for this one (and a spare gearbox...!)
  16. Marko I think you're just getting confused mate. I don't doubt Paul made more torque with the mods he made. And what he was saying was that he was making more torque "at a given revs or range", ie he was making more horsepower at that rpm range. And if you are making more horsepower (as a result of more torque) then you need more fuel. So the point is: Its not a RB30 that 'needs bigger injectors' because of the extra torque it makes. Based on that theory, a 510 Cube V8 making shitloads of torque but only 400hp needs bigger injectors than all of us! Also think about this. You sometimes hear people say 600cc Injectors can support X amount of 'horsepower' (ie Torque x RPM). You never hear people say 600cc injectors support x amount of 'torque'. Here is another example.. suppose you have two motors, an RB26 and an RB30 that both make the same Horsepower. But that the RB30 makes more torque (usually at lower revs right?) Lets say the RB26 makes 400ft/lb of torque at 8000rpm. HP = Torque x RPM / 5252.. therefore about 609hp. Lets say the RB30 makes 500ft/lb of torque at 6400rpm. Do the Maths = about 609hp. The RB30 makes more torque, but it only needs the same injectors to support 609hp. What Paul was telling you (most likely) was that he now made even more than 500ft/lb of torque at 6400rpm (and therefore made more horsepower) which of course requires more fuel. (Obviously Paul makes more than that - I am just using the figures from the example I made up) Make sense?
  17. Thankyou.. . I was wondering how the point was being missed...
  18. Um..... Because it's doing less revs.....?
  19. just did a bit of googling.. how about this: http://insightmotorsports.com.au/products/ID2000-163-23.html
  20. Have had it done on my car a few years back and seen it done on others. If you get the right guy, un-be fkn leivable. Seriously I had a cracker dent put in my HSV and you could not tell it has ever happened when they had finished. Really, really impressive. I am going to get a couple of shallow ones taken out of my GTR soon too.
