Thanks guys, i will ring mercury and motorcafe tomorrow
Chaos- yer thought about doin oil, filter, pads, radiator, g'box oil myself. But my car parks under the building in a shopping centre style underground park. Dont think the rest of the tenants appreciate oil and coolant all over the place (already done this once before...) plus since i'm taking the car in for the other work, why not get it all done at once.
Mate sorry to burst your bubble but that sounds like a pretty tall order, especially if you're not offering anything in return ($$$/beer/whatever).
Wouldnt it be easier to get a dodgy roadworthy done?? They're easy enough if you find the right place, only thing that should hold you back will be tyres but if they're unroadworthy then you should replace them anyway.
$1400 is pretty steep, but spose thats what you pay for when getting dealer servicing...
Thanks for the reply spooks, i'll keep them in mind
So noone else has any recommendations?? I dont mind if they're not a massive workshop with a flashy title, i just want honest, quality work by someone who knows their way around RB engines.
Been thinking it over and DEFINATLEY want the following
-Radiator flush
-Gearbox oil
-Timing belt + water pump (genuine only)
-Diff oil
-New pads and fluid
-New plugs
-Engine oil and filter
-Engine carbon clean
-Full wheel align and raise my coilovers by 1cm or so
-Fix my slight engine shudder at idle
Is they're anything else that should be done??
Hoping as a ballpark figure of $1500, no more..
Yeah i know theres some people with no conscience but if i did this it would f*ck me up for life. End of story.
Guy should be punished (i'd say 2 years aswell plus have to do community service forever- go around to highschools and tell about how he killed his mates, and how its affected his life), but what about the passengers??, surely they must accept some of the responsibility for getting into the car in the first place, sure as hell they knew how the guy drove his car.... I'm sure >2 people could easily overpower a 'reckless' driver, stop the car, and get out if they really didn't want to be in the car with this guy driving the way he did.
My 2 cents..
Hey mate are you still around?? I'm looking to get a 100K service done....
(oil, g'box oil, waterpump, timing belt, plugs, radiator flush) plus new pads all round, wheel align and maybe engine carbon clean if you do em....
I want to get the following done:
-New pads all round
-Timing Belt
-Gearbox + engine oil
-Radiator flush
-new plugs
-diagnose & fix my engine shudder at idle
-Wheel align
-tune
Extras...
-Dyno tune + power run would be nice
-Maybe do injector carbon clean
Would i be right in budgeting at least $1500?? If anyone could help me out with how much they paid for similar work and where they got it done it'd be great
At this stage i'm thinking Mercury..(from previous forums searches for good workshops).
Any input would be appreciated....
True?? I'm going to read up my policy on that one. Seems stupid if they're willing to list it as a mod and not cover you.
When i took out my policy they said that they wont cover you if you FAIL to notify them of mods (eg: bov, turbo, suspension etc..). As long as you keep them updated it should be fine.
Yeah was thinking Mt Cootha. Was actually up there a few nights ago but forgot the cam...
More pics..(sorry, some were resized)
Sorry for the bad quality, best i could get putting the cam over the microscope eyepiece. Thats my very own blood.
Its actually the brisbane river, from my balcony at sunset. The first and the last ones were taken in stanthorpe about a month ago (see the frost!) and the third one was taken at cunninghams gap (on the way to stanthorpe).
I like your sunset photo, any time i've tried to get a good one it always comes out dull. Same as all might night time photos
Heres a few of mine, only got a camera a couple of months ago. They're not great but i like em.
I like the composition of this one i took of my cat
Could someone please run this
VIN: 6T91MPAAAR1BWM007 ?? Thats my vin number, but it doesnt say ECR33 anywhere in the number, isn't it supposed to??? (and yes its a R33)..
EDIT: thats the Vin number it says on my rego papers, i will dig around under the bonnet see if i can find a better number...
Thanks in advance..
