  1. Were they lebs?? All the exa's i see these days are driven by lebs for some bizarre reason, guess the good ol gemini is getting too old
  2. Yeah i was talking to someone the other day (relative of a coworker), and they were like "wow you got a skyline", asking me all sorts of questions that i was happy to answer. Then they said "hey man, do you know where you can hook me up with a set of those neons that go under the car???" ..That ended the conversation right there.. stupid ricer wannabes... <_<
  3. Yeah its got a dumper, but i believe the muffler is very restrictive (its not even a straight thru). I'm running coppers that mercury gapped down to help my ailing coilpacks, which are on the way out
  4. Actually they go to quickfit on enoggera road (the one next to the mobil).
  5. Heres my run from a week ago. Only mods are a full exhaust and pod. Stock boost (7psi).
  6. any identifying features to look for (other than the plates)
  7. I got my compression test done with around 130 across all cylinders. Motor seems fine, mechanics said that was a good result.
  8. Imagine how f**king hard it'd be to scrub off bugs and shit off matt/satin finish!! Its hard enough in gloss. On the plus side you might stealth your way thru radars an speed cameras (although mythbusters tried that and it didn't work).
  9. That sucks man, i hope the bastards get caught. Was it insured?
  10. Its these little streetrat f**kers that have no respect We all work hard for what we have, and our taxes wind up putting food on their table and drugs in their heads.. They got no respect cos the lazy pricks never work a day in their life, and have never worked hard to save for something that they can appreciate for and look after.

    Police Defects

mate of mine got defected for having his exhaust too loud, even tho it was more quieter than most systems, no sound test just "I say its too loud so it must be". Plus he had an aluminium drift wing that he got a defect for cos it "poses a danger to pedestrians" as the leading edges are too thin and could slice someone up. I now carry around a copy of the queensland transport booklet thingy on modifications, so if someone trys to do me for being too low- measure it. too loud, measure it.. its there black and white.
  12. Go to a piping/plumbing/irrigation store and get the same size hose, but in rubber with a wire reinforcment. I got this and it only cost me $50 for 3 metres, but unless you're in townsville i cant give you a specific shop to look in.
  13. saw a white r34 plates pcb18 in west end a couple of days ago.
  14. Also while i think about it, i dunno if white would be the best choice... I imagine it would show up any dirt/dust very easy, and any scratches chips would make the whole thing look shithouse (even that pic you posted has wear on the side where the drivers probably been resting his/her leg). Oh and btw: the whole process should really take a couple of hours from preparation till final coat, then leave to dry.. I did my charade in the red, and my brothers car in silver, both looked really good. As long as you take your time and prepare the surface you will be happy with the result.
  15. Left it in the north queensland sun for a couple of hours, till it was touch dry. But like i said you really need heaps of coats to get an even finish, eg: one coat is barely visible over black plastic cos its a dye.... Its fine then to put back in the car but u need to be careful as its still quite soft and hence easy to scratch, ideally i'd leave it out of the car at least 24hrs. Then once its back in the car it will stink for about a week aswell, but i used a shitload on the charade... Go buy a can of it and use it on a test piece of plastic. Then you will get an idea of how careful you have to be handling it. And remember its critical to use wax and grease remover to get rid of any residue of shit like armour all, cos it wont stick to that very well.
  16. What you need is not paint, use stuff from autobarn VHT colour dye (should be in the same section as the engine enamel, chrome paint etc..).. works great, and i'd only sand it if your current dash trim has got scratches, paint worn off etc... Just make sure you make heaps of coats, depending on what colour you pick it will be harder/easier to get to look bright, as its not a paint its a dye. I used it on my old charade and came up a million. B) Red dye over black plastic, no sanding, just a decent cleanup with wax and grease remover. Sorry thats the only pic i could find, and yes, its the same stuff i used on the vinyl to cover the door trims (they were red vinyl but could not leave them like that cos the vinyl itself faded to pink!! sprayed that stuff on and stayed red).
  17. I'm Isaac, heres my 33....
  18. I've got a similar mark and have seen other R33's with it? I was thinking maybe some sort of jap domestic only sat nav system... I believe alot of cars have them over there cos its a bitch to get around the bigger cities. Since the r33 woulnd't have had one as an option maybe these were aftermarket 'plug into your ciggie lighter' type units??? Thats my theory...
  19. Hi, Wow this look awesome. I dont know alot about electronics, but i can solder (managed to build a couple of digital tachos previously). Definatley put me down for a kit in the next available run!!!
  20. I got 265/35 18's + tanabe coilovers. NO WAY i'd go any bigger. Ride is too harsh as it is!
  21. fttt how can it be rice- it clearly says "no fibreglass", and its got the original taillights.
  22. some people have too much time on their hands... good stuff all the same lol
  23. Could be worse... imagine the few honest AE86 owners that dont give a stuff about drifting and just try to enjoy their car... poor bastards
  24. Maybe just was a bit messy one time when topping up the oil? is it the plugs nearest the cap side?? Just a thought
  25. Yeah, my old cressida had bendix 4wd compound pads (couldn't get ultimates, the 4wd compound is apparently very similar anyway).. But yeah, they used to squeak and groan a fair bit actually. And yes, the discs were machined when i installed those pads too.
