I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!

Chalk up another satisfied turbotech customer. When my first one did not turn up in the post mark sent a second one out for free. The first one ended up return to sender to him the day i recieved the second one in the mail. Easy to install, first run out with no adjustment ran completley steady 10psi (exactly the amount i wanted) with no spiking or drop off at high revs that i've seen sofar. I also agree with what others have said that the car seems to get on boost earler, okay its not a massive increase, but the product performs like something 5 times the cost IMO. Highly recommended -
Has anyone else noticed that the load times for any pages on the forums, or the delay in adding a post you just typed up has increased dramatically, i'm sometimes waiting up to 2 minutes to load a page , and it doesn't happen with other forums or any other sites on the net, also i have a upspec ADSL connection (sorry dont know the details, from memory its a 1.5K whatever that means Has there been a slowdown somewhere?? Is it going to be fixed? or is it just me??

Well let me declare here that if a track/skidpan day comes up, and i'm in town for it (i do work out of town a fair bit unfortunatley) i WILL be there.
-
I've only ever seen one skidpan day come up and it cost $180 which i didn't have at the time, and turned out some cars never even got to run. Thats the only track type event i've seen, if any are coming up soon feel free to let me know, my cars not the fastest thing but i certainly want to have a go

I'm with everyone else- I guess what i'd want to see would be more club orientated events - not just forums ones, where anyone can tag along - NOT that its a bad thing, just that i dont see the point of sau membership at this stage to be honest....., it doesnt seem to give me anything i cant already get from the forums . But yeah, i understand that this probably has been tried in the past and had to be extended to non members just to get the number of attendants up. All i can say is that if things get set up, and they're resonably priced AND i dont have other commitments i will make every effort to get involved. Track days and skidpan I REALLY want. Like R33s2 i wouldn't have any support gear, but i'm prepared to wear that. Track day with some heavy competition between the seirous cars, with some room for newbies to get used to their cars would be ideal in my opinion. Drag runs would be good too- i want to see what my car can do, but i dont wanna do it infront of a massive audience and ony get 2 runs in one whole session, so somehow a low key event would be best - dunno if that's possible unless someone has their own dragstrip. Ditto the go kart idea - would definatley be involved in that. Social stuff- yeah valley/city stuff sounds awesome, as does bowling/ skirmish. Also, how about simple things like sunday arvo bbq's in a park somewhere, but sell the food and drinks back to attendants (cheaper for members/ more expensive for non members) as a way to raise a li'l bit of club revenue whilst get to know everyone. Also what about golf or tennis? or even pool/snooker nights same as bowling? I used to like tennis but got out of it years and years ago (but i've always been crap  ) , and i've been meaning to get on a golf course but i've never even tried it -just some other options for lazy sundays.... may not be everyones cup of tea but i'm just putting it out there. Whew! thats about all i can think off the moment.

MODS?? <_< -
lol no doubt she would have heard the obligatory hoon/bogan "BLLLUUUGGHH" that seems to be shouted out of hoons cars
-
lol arse clown

I had heard you can order the little silver 'v spec' stickers for GTR's through nissan dealers pretty easy, should be the same with the GTS-T ones... But yeah, proably easier to get one custom made, course it wont look the same or last as well... most people seem to debadge theirs altogether

Dont forget benji's 31 that isn't driven at all lol

I thought that was a big crowd behind him till i realised it was just a poster lol

It might be bs but i've noticed that different oils seem to lend different qualities to the motor - like make it run smoother and quieter, but thats just me... Each to their own i guess, i would run a thinner oil if all i used the car for was round town work but my car gets heavy highway use and many hours stuck in peak traffic, so i wanted something that would give protection at the upper thermal range, and also with my car on 103,000km i doubt the clearances are what they used to be, so i opted for a thicker oil....in terms of protection you're right, i wont know for a while, but i do know that its working great sofar as nothing has broken yet

Temp sensor is mounted in the surrounding space of the pod filter, not attached to anything bar a long cable tie used to 'hold' the sensor in the airstream about 3cm back from the probe, its at least 3cm from the pod itself and probably at least 10cm from anything metal (piping, engine bay etc..) so reading is as accurate as i could make it..

I run castrol formula R 10W 60 and its fantastic... doubt i'll use any other unless something goes wrong..

Yeah i treat shielding as part of CAI, so gunna do both and measure the results. Still have the stock airbox but no snorkel, so it pretty much would still be gulping hot hot air (remember the airbox inlet is on the engine side aswell). It doesnt help much that my turbo doesn't have a heat shield too, might get one of those turbo bags..
-
Just fitted a temp gauge with a sensor mounted next to the pod filter, driving at night, stopping at lights it reached a max temp of 65.5 degrees, hate to think what temps i'd get being stuck in traffic in midday CAI is now priority one Anyone get similar temps???

Haha i've got the opposite problem, coilovers + hankook K104 235s on the front and the famed falken ziex ze326 265's on the back, front grips incredibly well, back barely holds the road dry, wet = forget it, may as well be running slicks...

Hey mud if they'res a springwood meetup could i just bring some cash and grab a copy then???

best to get a 80's landcruiser, covered in rust, primer, belching smoke, brandishing a rusty bullbar with rod holders and a couple of busted spotties on it, oh and make sure you're shambling home drunk from the pub... these guys are apparently invisible to the cops..... saw it happen all the time up north qld way..
-
Watching the news last nite, its all got to do with qld's bad road toll this year, beattie even had to do some press conference, maybe the've got more cops off holidays so i'm guessing this order has come from the top to crack down on speeding / dangerous driving / drunk driving- guess who fits all those demographics - young male drivers who own imports Although i was out driving yesterday and didn't see one....
