  1. Dang i work in all those places (so forced to travel there frequently) + drive turbo car + have subwoofer so this is across the board?? not like a temporary initative (like they do in holidays in some states issuing double points)?? Fair go for someone doing 80++ kph in a 60 zone but in a 100 zone i think the penalty would be too harsh IMO (as they'res many that do 120 on the M1 etc during the quiet periods of the day or in the fast lane)
  2. hey dave, yeah think i got an allergic reaction to that bug aswell - my skin is all red.. stupid sunburn Car performed totally faultless, unlike its driver I'll be back for sure mate. Big thanks to paul, yourself, and all the other volunteers too
  3. Spotted - handful of skylines at queensland raceway trackday. Was a good day by all accounts

    Happy Bday!

Hey its my birthday too today... im hijacking this thread
  8. if the previous guy has been driving around like that expect some serious failures sooner rather than later. Maybe try hooking up the standard solenoid agan and see what boost it runs??
  9. Its a noble thought but i have to say i doubt it will relive its former glory cost to much for repairs, maintenance, public liability insurance blah blah....
  10. yeah i've thought about this- might escape quite a few defects, dont think alot of cops would spot what they were (although a big polished round thing would still look like a modified part lol). Im interested to know the same.
  11. no wasn't looking to get 230rwkw just wanted the turbo to support around that much as a minimum. Once i wound the boost above say 15psi i would definatley change coolers, anyway pm sent (actually pm sending..)
  12. Hi daniel, can i trouble you for your opinion?? How much horsepower/kilowatts do you want? suitable up to 230rwkw What are you using the car for? street / drag / track. Reliability is a big issue (i use my line to drive all over sth est qld for work) When do you want boost roughly? eg. 2200/2500 would be ideal but not run out of flow before 6000 minimum Do you want power early or late in the rev range? - bit of both if thats possible. What Mods you engine has or is going to have including computers or exhaust etc.? 3.5in turboback exhaust, r34gtt cooler, power fc (to come), walbro pump (to come) Obviously, what car? 94 series 1 r33, manual. Intercooled? and is it large, small, medium? see above (r34 cooler) Still running AFM or upgraded or no longer there? stock / z32 one at later stage Custom exhaust manifold or standard? standard - willing to go adaptor or custom manifold depending on whats cheaper/ easier External wastegate or internal(limited to virtually 450hp)? internal Could you give me some recommendations? Also, what would be the approx cost all up?? (braided lines, external manifold/adapter if necessary and rough cost of a workshop to do labor). ideally my budget would be less than 2500 installed. Hope you can help with some info
  13. cool take your time. Attention to detail will pay off for you- its proof to the rest of us that you're going to have a top product at the end of it
  14. r34 ones for me too
  15. How long until you can offer ready to assemble kits??
  16. umm... think most of us would have turbos mate . Why dont you spam somwhere else??
  17. Or just wiggle the steering wheel at 100kph and feel the rear end float around... probably where its most noticable imo.
  18. Done
  19. nah was that black dude from police academy that could make all the cool noises
  20. Congratulations bek and jason
  21. lol must be the ford tb then, is it carved from stone Seriously tho i too would welcome any help that can be offered.
  22. I say next cartoon that pokes fun at young drivers BAM we go all LA riot style
  23. Nah the lady probably couldn't drive the jeep - copper thought she was pissed And to affirm what everyone else said it is ILLEGAL to run an orange light unless you do not have enough time to safely stop, the signal to stop is orange not red. A mate of mine got fined for this exact thing last year. It can happen
  24. Well maybe all us that get sub 400k economy should get together and see if we can collectivley sort out the problem???
  25. I get those figures - seems 350-400ks per tank depending on the amount of city/highway driving. A/F ratos are perfect on the last dyno run i did (only about a month ago). I think theres a few people on here that pull the 500k figures out of their probervials. Maybe i'm wrong (which i'll readily admit), or maybe their cars run dangerously lean. I also remember reading an article in HPI where they guy that used to own a soarer that writes in the mag (maybe martin donnon??) was talking about the issue of warming up your car for 5 mins vs just turning the key and driving straight off. Concensus was it was waaaay better for fuel econ to just drive off as the car runs rich as when cold. Hence it was better to go Maybe its relevant in this case- like a temp sensor or even a thermostat problem -car is colder or at least thinks its colder than it is so runs rich for a longer period. Oh i too get the fuel smell from time to time, no leaks i could find either. Another point would be the issue of atmo bov vs plumback. Maybe thats causing problems too???
