I dunno, i personally know which workshop this happened, i've used them before no worries. They even drop your car back home so its waiting for you when you get back from work -

I'd say a light sanding in at least a couple of steps down to some really fine grade paper then follow with a few applications of metal polish. I use mothers mag and aluminium polish it works fine, then chuck a couple of layers of wax over the top should get them looking ok. -

guy probably has no clue and doesnt give a stuff about anyone elses property. At least theres no damage and you had footage anyway, unfortunatley theres not alot you can do Unless you spike his fuel/food/whatever when he comes back next time since hes a local

Try some plumbers thread tape and something sort of removable strength thread locker.. might work i guess. How the hell do you wear down the gear thread?? Do you have a habit of unscrewing it at the lights or something??
