Hi mate, I had the exact same problem after changing my coils and plugs to ngk iriway irridiums. Just double check all the clamps on your inlet hose and make sure they're nice and tight, and that they'res no cracks/splits in the rubber joins. One of the clamps wasnt done up and was blowing open above 9psi or so, causing the car to basically die for about a sec on even moderate acceleration, driving like an old man the car was ok though. Also had the 'angry spooling noise' it sounded wiked tho lol pity its gone. Also be careful not to get too worried about a ticking noise, it could just be your injectors - in which case its normal. They seem really loud if you have the car in and enclosed space, or if you're running the engine with the bonnet open.

Have you replaced your fuel pump at all? maybe the stocko one is starting to fail, thus causing the engine to run lean and cause the pinging.

Hey this might sound stupid but what do u do to get on a flight ?? i gotta fly up to cairns tomorrow but i haven't been on a plane since i was six years old lol. I just check in at the virgin airlines reception like an hour before the flight takes off and they show u what to do from there right?? Hoping i dont discover i get airsick or something lol

Like I was saying they are cheaper to buy but by the time you bring them over its not worth it. Since most of my family are back in unn zed i guess i could do it really cheap, and looked into it, and i have an uncle with a massive shed i could keep the car in for a year or so, but it would still be a couple of grand for shipping etc.. then you still have to register it. Dont imagine it'd be cheaper than going thru a broker for cars straight from japan at the end of the day.

You go into 'my ebay' where it lists the item you won theres a little drop down menu (from memory its next to the price an stuff) that you can use to 'mark as payment sent' or some shit. Plus i always email the seller to let them know i put the money in their account, when i expect the transfer to go through, what reference name i put in the transaction etc.. Also i think ebay has its own messenger system (like when you 'ask seller a question') it goes thru to them like a PM on these forums, plus i think they get a email aswell..

No...it was the opposite problem actually. With even standard bulbs the light shone thru the white painted areas of the dials, I imagine white leds would be worse, switching to blue leds solved this but they cannot illuminate the gauge needles (since they are red plastic) so i decided not to use them.

Dan- SF - DIS001. They are the right part no for my car. Anyway problem is fixed, turned out to be a leak in the inlet pipe before the throttle body, so at anything above mild boost it was obviously blowing open and loosing boost. All fixed now. thanks to all who posted

If you want a good guage display you can get a blitz R-VIT. Will show basics- speed, water temp, rpm.. no boost unfortunatley, but will also show ignition timing, injector duty, 02 sensor, with peak levels and audible/visual warning limits, data recording and will decode any errors from the ecu to tell you what they are. Oh and its easy as to install- just plug it into your service/consult plug, no wiring necessary!! But guessing you're after afr/boost readings, which this doesnt do (at least not on my car)
