  3. yeah.. i dont have net access at work so whenever i do late shifts and its slow, (but most of the time you still dont have much free time) i resort to prank calling various labs i've worked in over qld rofl.. its an amusing way to pass the time

  8. at least ur company isn't sending you to emerald for three weeks Just spent half an hour figuring out what servos around there have anything resembiling decent octane petrol... surprisingly optimax has ok coverage, but bp ultimate is nowhere to be seen west of rockhapton...
  9. hmm sounded like a good night. Would have come out but think i would have run some lousy times..who else went?? Had to chuck in a new fuel pump, which STILL hasn't fixed my slight pinging as i come on boost guess next step is a pfc at least its woohoo tax time. Takin the car out to emerald sunday as i'm workin out there for the next 3 weeks. Thinking of fitting some of those roo scarer whistle things as i'm a bit worried of hitting something out there lol
  10. dave!! what shinnanigans are you up to lateley?
  11. paranoid!! take that aluminum foil off your head jason But on a more constructive note- how much fuel was in the tank?? i assume is an internal pump? dont they get bathed in fuel normally?? if you hadn't much fuel in the tank perhaps thats why it was louder to you??
  12. need more info? when does it happen (idling, under throttle, in gear, clutch out, driving etc.)?? how does the car drive?? Have you stuck your ear under the bonnet and tried to locate the source or can you just narrow it down to the engine??
  13. lol wtf???
  14. fingers crossed, at least the other five are working!!
  15. damn ey hope its nothing serious?? Or you dont know yet..
  16. hey greg (aka second token kiwi) hows the car goin?? i just put in a fuel pump as mine was dying, and the gearbox has gotta come off to fix the spigot bearing.. doh.
  17. exiting isn't quite the word. I just want to be sure, (can you imagine what 2000kms of running lean would do to an rb?? , let alone finding a decent mechanic way out west that knows its not a 60 series landcruiser lol) got work tues-turs, then friday off too
  18. haha annual leave ftw!! Harooo everyone Cars going on the dyno this arvo as i'm worried about my fuel pump, think its dying so wanna check the afr's before i take the thing to emerald next week .
  19. was an option on s1 r33 Also, i dont know how they can fine you. Yes its illegal if the car originally had airbags but i'm not sure what year the law was bought in (ie: a 94 that had drivers airbag may be excempt anyway) but more to the point how wiill they know unless they can decipher the vin number to get the factory options or something?? (assuming you dont have a big red airbag warning light lit up on your dash too lol )
  20. A boss kit is needed to bolt the wheel onto the steering column and allow the horn to still work, with the standard wheel the boss and the steering wheel are combined as one unit. That one looks okayish, but a little garish for my tastes.. Simple designs look better IMO . Go with a momo / sparco or even a saas /autotechnica one from the likes of autobarn (or ebay). The more expensive ones are better made with higher quality materials, so paint wont flake off, rust, will be real leather etc... and also are engineered to design standards. Important to note ADR10 relating to steering wheels, basically you can only go as small as 35cm in diameter as you still need to be able to see your gauges. I have a 32cm momo wheel and got defected for it. Its still on the car because i like it too much
  21. woah nasty... how was the car running before you pulled them out?? have u checked their resistance??
