^ very nice! however if i go widebody, i would like to keep the gtt rear bar & side skirts. not many widebody kits out there that can do this

hey trent, the check engine light came on today on my R34 neo. i got the tuner to install the unit + the neo ignition chip as well. any reason why this would by happening? car isn't miss firing or anything and is still running as normal. -

full boost is by 3400-3500 i havent driven anything else yet so can't really compare response lol -

definitely will just enjoying the screamer atm -
im going to test it without the spring tonight or tomorrow. anthoer problem could be that the spring in there might be too long and cuasing it to have issues. ill post back tomorrow of how it goes after i remove the spring a nd see how that goes. boost rises to 15/16psi and looks to be still climbing but the tuner backed off and had around 1500rpm left

get a new fan, and trim bits off the edges not in half lol or just run a thermo

DOR134 is out and on the road, it made 201rwkw nate, did u get the 33 or 34 airbox cover? if its the 33, then yeah u had to mod abit to fit but for ashneels group buy, he redid the prototype so it fit R34 as well tuner said its got tgrouble holding boost up high in the revs but so far ive revved to like 5ish and it held 10-11psi fine - running straight off the gate (10psi spring) and no boost controller yet. just found out that the braided oil line is leaking oil :@ back to pirtek i go to get it fixed up so hopefully i can get that done tomorrow morning. love the ext gate & screamer, car feels 10x better then it did before BOV is blocked atm so i got hectic doses and fluttering atm, hopefully can get a hose and plumb it all back up tomorrow coz i dont like the flutterssssss -
oh okay thanks for explaining that out to me. so ive been test driving it ever since i got it back. it holds 10psi fine until say 5500ish so it just climbs up top around 5500/6000 onwards which is near redline anyway in which i back off unless i flooring it each gear. would this change anything or should i still check the wastegate still (by taking the spring out etc) ? ill post up a pic of how its mounted on my housing. cheers

thats what i was thinking, small housing won't do this, it would only restrict the top end & final power output my gate is mounted like picture #2 but on less of an angle. lower section nipple of the gate is hooked up to the turbo, thats how i left it when i dropped it off at the tuners but i dont know if he corrected it or moved it. is this not the right spot & should it be best placed on the cooler pipe by tapping a nipple in? i will try the smaller spring tonight, i have confirmed with GCG the smaller one is 7psi and the one currently in the wastegate is a 10psi one. they arent turbosmart springs so they are different colour, no i haven't is it meant to budge or not budge at all? if i take the spring out and try run it, what am i suppose to look for? is it suppose to boost or not boost? if it boosts; what does that mean? if it doesnt; what does that mean? cheers for all the help guys, really appreciate it. sorry for all the noob questions, my first turbo car

no no once he saw it hit past 15/16 he backed off this is the type of rear housing that i have. there is smaller hole but my dump is just one piece from the main rear xhaust wheel, does it matter or should there be a small pipe going to the dump for this lil hole on the right off the exhaust wheel as well - split style dump?

narh they are 7 i checked the turbosmart manual. however the guy i bought it off had them upgraded to run 17psi i took it apart and there were two springs (bigger - outter, and smaller - inner) he got them from GCG so i will ring them tomorrow to confirm but im sure smaller is 7, bigger is 10 would a small rear housing like that cause this issue? (cause ive never heard of this problem b4)

and if it does? and if it doesnt? trying all variables here before changing rear housing (which im pretty sure i wont be able to find one again so might have to change turbs )

ok my car is getting tuned atm, the tuner told me that the boost opens at 10psi on low throttle but then it keeps climbing and climbing as the rev increase. i believe the ext gate is running a 10psi spring but my tuner said if its changed to a lower psi spring, it won't help. 38mm turbosmrat ultra gate turbonetics stage 2 T3 turbo 0.63/64 front i think apparently my rear housing size is 0.48 and my tuner said this is causing it to have boost issues. (can anyone confirm?) is there anyway to fix it apart from changing rear housings as the wastegate is welded onto the rear housing + finding another rear housing that matches my dump etc can take some time any help much appreciated. cheers

can be used on either exh or in, suit RB20, RB25, RB26 as far as i know. blue in colour, brand new & unused condition, only open the packet to have a look & take a photo. $80 pick up in syd 2113/2166 + $7 for registered post. pm if interested. **$125 ea at Justjap** Cheers

hey adam, the wastegate creep issue is because of the internal gate on that turbo. if you go ext gate, it will fix the issue, not sure if the internal gates can fit but if so, that shud fix the problem also. -
hey mate, i got a perma-cool relocation kit with a cooling pro 11row cooler + speed flow nipple fittings + gates 1/2" hoses. used for less then 500km and removed. no thermostat but you can buy the permacool ones and put it in. located in sydey after $290 let me know if you're interested. Cheers

tuner FAIL big time. he was sick so it didnt go in yesterday dont know when he will be back + when he is, he will have to reschedule me in which is more time loss. booked in at another tuner tomorrow. will be ready by the weekend. can't wait. dyno sheets etc up sat if all goes well. Dan, afaik, the variable intake valve will function as normal on a NA (ill have to speak to my tuner about it first). Nate, it still hits the front bar will decide that shiet out later, will do my best to make it fit without cutting my sexy gtr bar. the way my turbo sits, i was still able to use a bit of the stock NA intake > afm pipe which is a bonus. i will definately get a custom pipe from the throttle body to the intercooler pipe as 1) the stock crossover one is so ugly and 2) the BOV just barely clears the power steering resevoir so i had to move it further down. -
either one is fine but i put mine on the top hose
