  1. There were some more visits to family and friends to tell them the news. Random car spotting is always fun.
  2. Cheers Danny..lucky I have a good friend who helped me with setting everything up. And yeah both pretty happy with the ring I bought.
  3. It involved lots of candles and a coffee table book I made. We went to church the next morning to tell people about the good news, and visited a few friends, as well as our respective grandmothers.
  4. A couple of weeks later I proposed to Sally, filling the Cefiro with bits and pieces in preparation to win lots of brownie points.
  5. Good to see it coming together. I like it with either of those rims, but I'd go with the fronts if I had to choose. What are you getting engineered? Pondering getting some mods on my car engineered.
  6. A couple of days later I had one of those exciting visits to the dentist. My health situation threw him a little, after I said that I hadn't been able to eat or drink for about a year.
  7. The new paint made the rims look a lot nicer.
  8. In the garage, Daniel was busy masking and prepping his rims for painting.
  9. Daniel was spraying the meshies on his Pintara black, but leaving the chrome dish, so they would match and look a bit fresher. Pulling up at his house with Sally, his daughter Ella came out to see us. Despite being only 3 years old, she can tell the difference between my Ceffy and his Pintara by the exhaust sound, something a few of my friends can't do, which is rather funny. She was doing a bit better after being in hospital for the surgery, enough to try and steal my car anyway. But as I mentioned in a previous post, she's a very sick kid, and any donations towards this project to improve her quality of life would be of great help: http://www.sayso.com.au/weddings/forums/t955/
  10. It's a really nice place to walk through, with hundreds of trees all around as far as the eye can see, and quite with a natural, earthy smell. Halfway up the gentle slope, I turned around to take what is probably the most distant photo of the Ceffy. Once we'd reached relatively flat ground, we set up the picnic blanket, and I got some food out for Sally. It was certainly a picturesque location for a picnic on a warm afternoon. After spending some time sitting amongst the trees, we packed up and headed down to the carpark.
  11. Armed with a picnic blanket and some food, we stopped in one of the car parks at Kuitpo Forest. We then walked along one of the paths for a little while to find a nice spot to sit down.
  12. We then moved on towards Kuitpo Forest, stopping on Scenic Road for a few minutes.
  13. Followed by a drive in the southern hills with Sally, first stopping at a park near a stream in Clarendon.
  14. Some more daily duties. I'm pretty sure this is a V35 Nissan Skyline, but it was sporting Infiniti badges.
  15. By carefully moving down the bank a little, I was able to get a bit of a lower angle. Combined with the rocky hillside and headlights, I think it makes for a pretty cool shot. And I didn't fall over into the water either which was a plus.
  16. Getting closer to Adelaide, I turned onto the gravel area by the side of the road. A small stream lined with overhanging trees runs alongside this part of Gorge Road, and makes for a nice setting. The sound of the flowing water tends to be quite soothing, unless of course you need to go to the toilet.
  17. After enjoying the noise for a little while on Gorge Road, I pulled over for a few photos as dusk fell. This is just before one of my favourite short sections, and probably the best part to hear an engine working its way through the rev range.
  18. After going through Lobethal, I turned to head back down Gorge Road on the way to Adelaide.
  19. I took a few more photos going through Gumeracha and Lobethal. This tree looked quite cool, with the sun lighting up the red foliage on the branches.
  20. It was a really pleasant afternoon for being outside, windows down blasting through the winding roads, stopping here and there for photos as usual.
  21. I can't think of any local cars that would have had an RB under the bonnet...poor buggers got stuck with the KA24 instead.
