  3. OMG nobody can recommend me a place?!?!?!?!?!!!
  4. Check out this thread that he posted on NS forums about his Skyline. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...ic=100207&st=30 Note the date he posted which is 20th July 2005..
  5. Hi guys, i have a heavy duty clutch and i've been having difficulties changing gears from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Everytime i change it, it just feels like there is something obstructing the motion. For eg. from 1st to 2nd, MID-WAY through the 2nd gear, it feels like i'm forcing it down. Does anyone know what's wrong with that? Does anyone have experienced gearbox problems and are there any remedy to this problem besides ripping the whole gearbox out?
  6. Keep me in the loop yeah? PM me if someone doesn't want those rims
  7. Ask your GF to give you a Blow Job every 3 hours while on the wheel. That'll keep u goin Kidding...=) Check your coolants, tyres and make sure u have a spare tyre with the tools as well. Don't want to get a flat in the middle of nowhere. Please let us know how did your petrol consumption go?
  8. In addition to that, maybe the SAU forums should have a 'spell-checker' or 'grammer check' option just like what they have in MS Word. About fuel consumption, seriously man..u think your S13 180sx SR20DET blah blah blah whatever, will not 'drink' as much as the R33? BTW, i thought in NSW as of effect from July, the new P Platers are not allowed to drive turbo cars? Was your Skyline turbo? Dude, 140rwkw is pretty alright already since you JUST got your license. What do you expect huh? 0-100km/h in 4 secs? :upurs:
  9. It took me a while to understand what the world was he trying to say. I thought i just read about him just getting his P's like a month ago? He was telling everyone in the NS forums that he just passed his driving test. hmmmmm....i smell some BS...
  10. Lucky jap cops...maybe they have BOVs in their GTRs too...it can add some extra noise to their sirens...
  11. I am 21 turning 22 in august, i have been driving since 18 which means 4 yrs+ of driving. I am given Rating 2 ( dunno why ) at $1100 from Just Cars for a R33 GTST S2. You are 18 yrs old, which means you most probably just driven for 1 yr plus?? I think you will need to pay about $2000 for the turbo car. Maybe less for non-turbo? The 3rd party insurance is pretty standard for everyone, i was qouted $680 as well for 3rd Party fire and theft. Once you start modding the car, your insurance price will raise as well. Cheers
  12. Dude, i had this same problem about 2 months ago. I had a chance to import in the S15 as well through private import. But getting it for A$23,000 is a little difficult. Unless you are getting the 1999 model with very very high kms. Right now in Japan, the Pearl White S15 demand is high but supply is low as Japs loves their white cars...so i'm sure the prices will not be that low. That's if u r getting a white one If i am not wrong, you can only import models from 1999 till dec 2000 unless you had owned the car in Japan for a year and wants to import it as your own car from Japan into australia. I have friends in Japan doing imports too. With A$23,000 does that get the car ON ROAD? The FOB price of the car in japan is already about A$20,000 converted from YEN 1,690,000 That is a 2000 model Spec R with about 60,000kms. Shipping will cost at least $1,500. Compliance another $3000. Insurance is a killer. I was qouted $2,800 by justcars. Maybe because i'm 22 but for the GTST, my comp is only $1,100. Anyway maybe you have your own contacts :uh-huh: No offense Instead of getting my JDM S15, i got myself an R33 S2 GTST in perfect stock form, clean interior, about 58,000kms  . I was so interested in getting the JDM S15 that I even paid a A$9,000 deposit for the S15 to my friends to start the paper work in Osaka. However, after researching more and listening to advices from S15 owners, i've discovered that the S15 6 speed gear box has major mechanical problems. A friend of mine here in melbourne with a Pearl White ADM S15, he has changed his gearbox at 35,000kms because it 'screwed up' somehow. Luckily he had Nissan Warranty still. Go to the NS forums to ask those owners, most of them have changed their S15 gearboxes to the S14 5 speed gearbox or they get the local ADM and use the warranty to change a new gearbox. As you know that car is built to drift. During rainy days, the S15 loves to 'get its rear out'. 'Fish Tail' take offs are very very common even if you have the best tyres in the world. If i'm not wrong the S15 weighs a mere 1260kg whilst the GTST R33 weights 1370kg. So in terms of stability and safety, i would prefer a heavier car. Another thing that put me off is that the total price i will be spending on the S15 will be around $27g - 28g imported in. An R33 GTST S2 will cost around 18g-21g. With the leftover of A$6,000 you can use that to mod your Skyline NICELY, get a new turbo and you will shit all over the S15 no matter if it's the 147kw ADM or 183kw JDM. In terms of power, both cars are equally great cars. ON PAPER, the lighter S15 will take off faster than the R33 GTST but the skyline will catch up. It all depends on the driver. IMO, the S15s just blends so well into the traffic. It just look like a normal car which blends into the traffic whereas the Skyline is very distinctive and easily spotted. That's why i think most pple think that skylines are more common and S15s are more 'unique'. When i was driving around Melbourne today in the SE areas and city, i've spotted more S15s than skylines. If you buy a mod-ded car, common sense will tell u that the previous owner must have trashed it if not why did he want to mod the car? For the looks only he decides to put in a $1000 exhaust? Ultimately, the choice still belongs to you. I was 'hooked' by the S15 because its a newer car, great looking exterior but i never really think about the long run. I am enjoying my skyline right now, i have yet to start mod-ding it. Quite excited to mod my car the way i want it rather then getting something that has already been mod-ded. Cheers
  13. Guys, i'm not sure if this has been covered before or it might be in the Tutorials/FAQ section..yes i've search it but didn't find anything. I have a stock R33, what can i do to my ECU right now since it's stock? Besides like putting in the Power FC, what else can i do to mod the ECU?
  14. Guys..what's the difference between the Turbo Back and Cat-back?? Can anybody suggest which exhaust systems are Turbo Backs???
  15. personally i feel that the Skyline on carsales is quite gay. i think he is trying to rip off some poor guy that have not much ideas about skylines.
  16. i think it all depends on how hard u drive and how good is your O2 sensor functioning...is that right?
  17. 2673 a year..which means 223kms per month...which means 7.4kms a day! ...maybe she has to do everyday chores too.... :whip:
  18. are those rims for sale?...=)
  19. is that how they count?? i thought if you add 98 RON petrol and u add the 3RON octane booster..it'll be like 101 RON petrol?
  20. ermm..anyone with stock R33 gear knobs???
  21. Anybody with the stock gear knobs for sale?? Please PM me..thanks!
  22. Anybody here can recommend a cheap but realiable place to go in melbourne to install my alarm system??? :lock:
  23. guys what's a compression test and leak down test??? Where can i get it and how much will that cost me? I decided to go for the 96 skyline as it is in real good condition inside out..comes with brand new pioneer speakers..the owner is a great guy anyway...very honest guy and i should say he is pretty trustworthy...Guys how much do you think the 96 skyline will cost...it's stock as...
  24. Hi guys, i am about to consider 2 different skylines up for sale now. 1. 1996 GTST S2 80,000kms - Almost stock except for : Pod filter , new sony stereo with pioneer speakers, 16" wheels, clean interior, with rego 2. 1997 GTST S2 97,000kms with mods like : Pod filter, forward strut brace, 17" rims with Bridgestones tyres, Rusty rotors, kenwood stereo, 3" cat back, turbo timer, only changed the timing belt, no rego The 1997 model is about $1000 more expensive than the 96 model. Guys, which one do you think will be a better buy? i am sure more people will be attracted to the 1997 model since it's a later year??
