Small world.....
Just been having exactly the same conversation with Matt at GSL Rallysport...
He has recommended me QFM HPX pads for $79 a set..
I am looking at them and a set of slotted discs..

That is my understanding...
New government leadership did not support it and bowed to pressure from the retail industry... Usual emissions and safety noises, conveniently forgetting that all imports come from markets with higher requirements for both...
-
Thanks for that..
Damn, looks like part of the propshaft... No seperate part number for just the donut...
Might have to check the 370z or G37 forums.

Hi All,
Just been told I need a new propshaft drive coupling rubber donut thingy...
Anyone know a part number and where to get one?
I would check FAST but mine does not have the updated files that cover V36..
Hope some knows this..

Same for me... Never got a CF SD card reader to work in the car.. Just bought cheap Chinese CF card, been all good for the last 18 months..

Do you have factory Nav with single CD? Bluetooth is only available as part of that option and not with the 6 disc audio.

Sorry....
With my AR-X which had a dead CD changer, I ended up with the NISS 15 ipod kit, to get some tunes...
-
Oh really ! I thought I could just get a double din facia, get rid of the installed non bose head unit and keep the aircon controls still ...
So I'd need the aircon board too ?
got a pic to confirm what your car looks like?
-
Or even the folding when locking the car function...
-
I don't have the bose head unit so the aircon control is separated.
Err... The non-Bose head unit also has the integrated controls on the AR-X...
Only non integrated was the single DIN on the RS. Maybe the Japanese owner fitted that set up to your car?
-
As usual, the switch gear looks horrible... But to be able to fit a modern double din head unit would be awesome...
However, I am guessing it won't play nice with JDM, especially when most of us have JDM OEM Nav...

I stand corrected... yes Nissan, not Nismo.

-
Is the old exhaust you pulled off branded? Or do they come factory option that way? Guess that's the switch under the dash then right?
Looks like the Skyline coupe mid section, repacing the usual massive mid box, and the Nismo accessory sound control exhaust... I had one sitting in my shed, as I never quite got around to installing the motor and wiring before i sold the car..
But I did have the coupe mid section.. Well worth the $120 and 30 minutes fitting...

Me too, and my compliance tyre placard also confirms that this is fine... Should plod ask...
-
Looks like a touch immobiliser to me...
When it was new, you would not have been able to start the car without first touching the contacts from the middle pic into the socket in the right pick...
-
yes unique especially with the Infiniti exterior and Nissan Interior....

and your low beam should be xenon... If they are halogen, then they were swapped out at compliance, and that is why your headlamp performance is rubbish...
No M35 3.5 or turbo ever left the factory without xenons..

700km around town for a V36 seems a too good for city driving... I reckon there is a good bit of crusing mileage in that...
In my 3.7 on the 10km school run I get about 12.5 l/100km, but on a good 50km freeway run, easily getting 8-9l/100km..
-
Ah the good old Japanese mobile phone plug...
Alas, no one has ever been able to sort them out, and make this work as an AV input...
-
$300 sounds about right for a new blank unit...
Plus $150 or so for the programming.
-
No tilting on reversing for me, will need to look for that button... I loved that feature on my Stages.. Got the rest as described with my remote starter alarm security package.
-
OEM 7.5" front 8.5" rear and 245 will fit 7.5" wheels legally....at least i think it should
Do on my V36 sedan.....
-
370GT sedan was introduced in December 2008 as 2009 model year, so you are both correct....
Ah, the blind junction camera.... My 370gt sedan also has one. Turned on by a button next to my seat heaters..
My mirrors also fold on locking, controlled by a button under the steering column.
Car beeps in reverse, as all Japan domestic cars do, but no sensors. However there is the camera with the prediction lines that move with the steering...
-
I got one like this
For when I had to remove my airbag to fit my cruise control... but I only paid around $5 for mine...
370gt Sedan Brake Pads
in VQ Series - V35, V36 & Infiniti
Posted
370GT/G37 sedan have the brakes which are dual piston with 320mm discs. These are the same as the 370Z Touring, which was not sold in AUS.. Older 350GT sedans could have "sports" brakes which are a bigger 330mm disc, but only a single piston caliper..
I am also under the impression that these brakes are not unique to the V36, but might be used on other Nissans such as the Pathfinder and V6 Altima... Similar with my M35 Stagea which ran same brakes as 350Z touring, which is the same as an XTRAIL...
Akebono's were not standard on any V36 Skyline sedans, but they were on some of the G37 Sports...
Hence the total confusion...
The pads from GSL will fit and if for some reason they didn't cannot see why they would have an issue swapping them...
