  1. i'll be getting swaybars, oil cooler installed, proper wheel alignment, will try to fit a 4 point harness, will also try to make some cooling ducts for the brakes. New brake fluids and a good bleed. GTR wing for more downforce.
  2. i'll be back once only when all the necessary mods are done, might take a while but the next time I hit the track, no more pussy footing around and none of this keeping the revs low so I don't over heat kind of crap. I'll be back with a better handling car.......so watch out all.

  4. Yeah i'm planning to take the wing off tomorrow so I'll have some better photos in the sunlight. Will post it up tomorrow. Given its the festive season, it would be difficult to get a quote in the next few days but I will try to annoy them for one. If I could just get your postcode, it'll make things easier Btw, it's just the square wing thats for sale now, the tail lip is sold, pending my laziness to take it off.

  8. god I love my car.....so much fun!!! and I hate wrx and evos....damn shopping mobiles that goes around corners quicker then me grrrrr

  11. motul rbf600 for brake fluid dunno which pad is good though, I should find out what brand my pads are and see what people think of it...

  13. yeah, some of the ripple strips at EC gave me a fright.... I reckon someone should do a sticky thread on speeds and gears to use for a stock car on various circuits....as a point of reference so newbies can at least catch on quick

I go corner 9 at 80, by the start and finish line I was at end of third gear, by the time I reached where duncan was standing today, I was doing 180 and end of 4th gear. corners 2 3 4 5 I left it in third gear....got it into 4th just as I got onto the bridge.....I sort of kept it in forth from there onward....but in the afternoon, I changed to using third gear through corner 7, 4th through the flip flop now that I know what I should be doing....bring on the next one!!!
  15. I'll give that try once the oil cooler goes in, the reason I kept the revs lower is because of the hot day and i didn't want it to sit on 7grand all day.

I thought so, yes I did use the ripple strip and I LOVE that corner.......but half the time I was having a dilemma of finding a good gear to use.....I was in 4th gear most of corner 6, 7 and 8 but the s curves after corner 6 makes it hard to accelerate in 4th gear...but the time I get up to speed, it's corner 7 already. Putting it in 3rd gear seems over kill, and I just get a lot of revs and oversteer. bear in mind, this is all street tyres so I was wrestling with a bit fo grip around there.

I estimate a 1:30-1:33 ish, a workmate was supposed to come with me to time me, but pulled out at the last minute. yes stephen with the drift spec and even more outrageous jigsaw paint scheme.....black bonnet, silver tail lights white shell.......just MAD!!! we all ran out of fuel at the end of the day.... given more down force and some better brake fluids, there's definitely another 2-3 seconds I cna shave off................Braked too early into turn 1 (i'm scared of big fast sweeping corners). Should've maybe let off the throttle before the apex, clip that, give it another tap, then hard brake. The flip flop, I only managed to go through that in 4th gear full throttle once, and that almost scared the shit out of me as the rear was twitching. The corner leading up to the bridge could've been a bit tidier and the s curves following that, I could've used a slightly better line for that as well. I didn't know what gear to use for that.....4 seems a little down on torque to pull through, 3rd gear would mean screaming on the limiter by the time I reach that off camber turn (turn before the flip flop)
  20. Hahahaha yeah me, sheng and stphen had a little mini race....would've been fun if stephen didn't choke and spin out at turn 2. But damn him and his semis, i just couldn't keep up around the bigger sweeping corners, if I floored it, I would definitely have oversteered but he was like having a nice cruise or seomthing. Maybe the new GTR wing will help the next time around and some better brake fluids so I can lay the smack down with my uber trail braking. My rear is a so unsettled on braking, and judging from the silly toe angles it could be the cause. A new wheel alignment is defintely in order. I must say, the suspension was great.....I felt really confident heading fast into the corners knowing there won't be much understeer. Although I could do with some swaybars....BADLY Its really awesome how you can realy pick up on the other aspect of your car if you do these trackdays.

  22. man i am SO exhausted...... cooked the brake fluid on the first session going hardcore into corneres..... came into the pit with smoke pouring out of the front rims and having absolutely no pedal pressure at all spent the next few sessions trying NOT to use the brakes around the turn which led to me drift around a corner, spin out and crunch a bit of my front bar But damn, that was too much fun. Still got a few corners I could improve upon but overall my street tyres are a suprisingly good combo for the currently power level. Think I'll take it easy now........6 events and the engine is still alive and kicking. Nissan sure know how to make a good car. thanks Duncan and Neil for all the help. Boys and Girls GET OUT THERE AND DRIVE!!!!!!! $120 for the whole day and you practically get the track all to yourselves....what more could you ask for!!!

  24. R33 GTR wings are acutally funtional in case people didn't know....its not just for flare
