  1. I saw them on the Autobarn website but it didnt have the price. Autobarn (hope this is the page). But Sullivan can supply as he said.
  2. That looks great Sex. Now all you need to complete it is a set of these..... "Silvervision Indicator Performance Globes Remove the unsightly unlit appearance of traditional lamps. The silvered aspect of the lamp renders it invisible inside a shiny reflector when the lamp is not in use. • Silver coloured indicators • Directly interchangeable with existing amber bulbs • Enhances the styling look of transparent headlights • Latest Original Equipment Philips Type DescriptionPackaging 12496 SV KITPY21W SVKit 12496 SV B2 PY21W SVDouble blister" Images and info from:Beast Club Australia
  3. Yeah probably. I don't know where 20c/L came from. Maybe mistaken for 50c/L. Grey matter not as solid as it used to be.
  4. yeah grand old age of 26. I also remember when a play on the arcade machines cost 20c Big Macs were twice the size they are now and they cost less. No such thing as green P's Dad drank Fosters. Houses were cheap to buy. Cops where cops and where out to catch the the real bad guys. None of this revenue raising bull. Bob Hawk for Prime Minister! They were the good old days. With regards to the the restrictions on P platers (limiting passengers). What is a mother of 3 thats on her red P's going to do when her husbands at work and she needs to take her kid to the doctor? Or a young P plater living with his 2 elderly grandparents that needs to drive them to the hospital in an emergency? Ambulance? have you ever recieved a bill to have them come out and check you over? Last time it cost my GF $250 to have them come out and check her over cos she was attacked by a deranged irate customer. Community buses and taxis and hospital shuttle buses are slow. I don't think its the answer. This just means that they are going to kill less ppl in the car if they get into a bad crash.
  5. Yeah but remember the days when prices were like 99c/L or even 50c/L or even 20c/L? That was cheap fuel.
  6. Im not saying that i dont engage in a bit of spirited driving now and then. . Foot down up to 60km/h then stay at the limit. Well, not really foot down. Just accelerate quicker than everyone else. But the only time i go over 100km/h is on the m5/m7/motorways/freeways etc etc.
  7. The thing i wanna know is.... IF a Skyline driver was to street race...(which is a bad thing), Why would he/she bother racing... (1) a Magna (2) A P Plater. Its a waste of effort. Think of it this way... Is the amount of Petrol (cash spent on the petrol) wasted on this pointless race worth the 'thrill'? You spent hard earned dollars on the petrol, and fuel prices aint getting any cheaper. The race is already over before it even started. Keep it on the track ppl.
  8. Hey Player, Looking for pedal box. Do you still have that? How much if you do. Ill pick up if you still have it and the price is right. Also the front grille thing if you still have it. Thank you Mike.
  9. Did you mean these ones? Or these ones? Check them out here...Just Jap.
  10. You can get a set of S2 indicator/foggies from Just Jap. I think they quoted me $600 new for a set or $400 for a second hand front bar with lights. (Sorry i cant be too sure of this as i have deleted the email). Phone: (+61 2) 9545 0532 Fax: (+61 2) 9542 1684 Address 101 Bath Road Kirrawee NSW Australia 2232 They located in NSW as indicated above. Im looking for a set too and been searching for a while but i cant afford new ones. Anyway Good luck with that.
  11. But yet your still around to go faster, you didnt wrap yourself around a pole. Maybe the track day gave you the skills to hande the car better and gave you insite on the limits of your car. And confidence is not a bad thing, over confidence and lack of cofindence is. But having confidence doesnt give you and escuse to drive over the speed limit.
  12. I think there needs to be a combine effort from all peoples involved. Governments need/should introduce advance driving course as part of the licensing procedure. They need to spend more money on safe driving which are aimed at younger kids and not spend it on their erection campains. I know that the courses can be expensive, but offset that with the fact that with the skills and abilities you gain from them could one day save your life and i think it is affordable to everyone. The insurance companies can come into the game as well. Maybe offer cheaper insurance for new drivers if they have completed some sort of advance driving course. And parents need to be apart of this as well. Im not a parent myself so i havent got total insight on the whole father/son/daughter thing. I know that learners these days forge/dodgy the driving hours. Why not take the time or make the effort to take the kids out driving and fill out their books for them, properly. At least you know that your kids are getting the required experience that they need on the roads. Advise them that speeding kills and its not cool to drag the family sedan cos its not designed for it (im not saying that you should be dragging sports cars either). To sum it up imo i think the best answer to preventing these fatalities is to educate them more and give them the skills they need to survive on our roads.
  13. Does it have to be car related? I was thinking if you are gonna do a bridge climb then maybe also add the harbour 'power' boats. My gf and i went on one of those when we took a relo into the city. We had a ball. was the best $40 i spent.. that day. It goes for about 40mins and the one that we went on, the 'skipper' took us wave jumping out on Sydney harbour. We headed out to the Heads and did some spins on the open water. this one only goes at about 80km/h. Was a blast tho. Think of it like a roller coster on open water where ppl are spraying you with water! Make sure you dont wear a see through top if you go out cos you do get wet and you do get cold.
  14. Why the difference in prices? You have $105 ($95 + $10p/h) on ebay and $199 on here. Are these ones better? do these inculde installation for the extra $94? Extra warranty? Please explain. ============================================== EDIT:: Oops, just saw your location is US. So im assuming that $95 is US price?
  15. Im hoping you mean the S2 front bar foggie/indicators. Ill take it for $75. Does this include post? If not how much for post to NSW 2567? Any pics?
  16. After front Foggies/indicators. Any pics and how much? Thankyou. Michael.
  17. Ah ok sorry. I should read more carefully next time.
  18. Will you seperate the bar frm the chin spoiler? If so how much for the chin spoiler?
  19. If its just the glue you want to take off then Jeff used his buffer and got rid of his GTS25-T sticker on the back of his 33. Not too sur about vinyl but hair dryer sounds like a great idea.
  20. You all seem to be buying this for a car set up for racing with CF bonnet. So i would assume that these cars dont drive on public roads? Was wondering if CB bonnets are legal. Im not too sure on the laws with that. i see a few cars that have them installed (which doesnt mean its legal). Isnt there something about CF bonnets splintering if you got into a crash? If CF bonnets are legal i might get one for my 33 and a set of these aero pins. Apologies for the thread hijack but i thought that it is related to this in some way. Michael.
  21. I use the Campbelltown Thread alot. I'd say 80% of the time im on SAU. Other times im either looking in the For Sale section, the General NSW section, or i glimps at the Events section for anything that would fit into my schedual. Since the Campbelltown thread has been up, my interactions in the forum(s) and post counts has increase dramatically. I have made new friends in here that share the same interest and passion as i do. Im not saying that i will only post in the Campbelltown thread and not post in the general NSW area itself. But when i first came in here it was very hard and very intimidating for me (and maybe not just me) to actually start posting because it seemed like all you 'veterans' of SAU were very good friends. I felt like the i was the new kid in school and everyone already had friends. And before you start the flaming, yes - we are not kids, i know. But that does not stop people from feeling like an ousider when they come into a place where the existing ppl have well established relationships with each other. Most of you are objecting against the sub-forums because you are scared/threatened that this will possibly divide SAU. But why should SAU be divided if this community is so strong? I dont see this happening (but then again i am only new here so this comment is worth zip ) I also see that it is the responsibily of the indivual himslef/herself to get to know the commuity and get involved in the events. But it would be better if we provided a smaller section for them to get to know ppl from their area and arrange small meetups now and again. What im trying to say is, imagine your the new kid in primary school again. You dont know anyone at all. Would you prefer to be put in one huge class where the whole of the school is in, or would you like to be put in your own little class where ppl of your own age and of your own interest talk and get along (power rangers, barbie and Hi5 instead of Girls, sports and computers). I think these sub-forums are a great idea. It gives you somewhere to start. At least it wont end up being, you either jump in the deep end and start trying to post and get along with everyone, or you stay quiet and eventually leave the forums because you felt like a total stranger. Maybe all this will lead to goo things like Area/Thread Vs Area/Thread track battles or time trials or Dyno days. There can be a SAU trophy that will be kept for 3 months by the winning area before it will be up for grabs again at the next battle. Theres no harm in Skyline rivalry since there doesnt seem to be other interests/challenges from other forums or because of hostilities from other forums.
  22. AGREED 100%. Check the votes so far. 9 ppl have voted against the subsections. If you all feel so strongly against them get your arses of your seats and do something about it instead of whining and winging. I have put my vote in to keep them. I find them to be useful (even if sometimes we talk about crap). But it keeps from offending the whole of NSW. We just offend the Campbelltown ppl. And we are all friends in there anyway so we know each others humor. There has been new Skyline drivers come to the forum and and their first post is in a local forum because they feel more comfortable posting in a smaller thread. Would you prefer every new user come in and new threads that say "Hi All im a new skyline driver.."? If not how would they introduce themselves to the community? The whore thread is so big you cant keep track of it. And it would take ages to read through the whole thing get up to date to what was said...blah blah blah. I do agree with some of the comments about too many threads for certain areas. But i have to defend the Campbelltown thread because it caters for more than just Campbelltown. This thread is for the sorrounding area as well; Liverpool Glenfield Macquariefields Minto Leumeah Campbelltown Macarthur Currans Hill Spring Vale Ambar Vale Smeaton Grange Narrellan Camden Possibly Picton and The Gong. I think this supports for the Campelltown thread to exist.
