and of course it has a rather nasty F'off alarm on it
Autowatch unit - I'm not saying anymore. it added a much needed remote boot release to this car and the ability to find it. that said no one in Nurioopta knows what it actually is yet.
CAR- note antenna on roof rear. new TV antenna I'm trying out. works well in this application- theres another one hidden up front.
better shot
screen - 10" item went in easyish. worst part was clearing the sunroof running gear.
Ipod - neo item I use. charges the Ipod and works. helps if the unit is charged first
cruise control - this is the FIRST VQ30DD unit I have done - thanks to CARMEN IMPORTS for the test car to help set this one up. for those wondering - this unit has different software to the 3.5 lt version.
HITV - PURE II digital TV tuner. all the remote eyes for this and the DVD unit are hidden in the AC display. nice and neat. only giveaway to anything in the car is the drop screen.
this system is zoned so you can watch DVD or TV independently of the rear screen.
driveline services - brendale. take them what you want built and they will do it. been dealing with them for years and yet to break anything they have done.
thanks for clearing that up. if you read it as I did the end user expects a 300 installed alarm. (mind you there are some that expect alamr and install for $100- yeah right!)
only thing I like about DEI is the extra channels on it. makes life a LOT easier with staging things and controlling odd things (IE bus folding doors, convertible tops.)
stick to what you know
by the time I finish doing the install on an alarm its WELL over that cost. 99% of the alarm issues people face are installer f'ups. range on the DEI products is in idea conditions and line of CLEAR sight. average is 800m or less on them. want more range buy a GSM pager. dont think that works right - sell the car and buy a shitbox
pay the money. I dare say that the amplifer in it has been killed. that IC alone is $100. if you are trying to skimp on the $400 repair bill - don't. once you fix that side of it something else will fall over.
how much liquid got into it and do you STILL have power applied to it?
tiger,
easier way is to buy a AUX in lead and run it up to your centre console. the FM idea is really a waste of $$. stations will come in ovr the top of the ipod, dropouts and terrible sound.
call me if you do not follow
I know a few shops looking at it int eh brissy area. that said the market will have to pick up again before anyone even thinks about doing one. the figure you have is for emmissions only. there's more again to get it ready.
nothing. to be honest I would like to grab that end as I dare say the controls are a Neo piece and it would work with the one i use here. would be even better if it spat out video as well.
