  1. www.soundoff.net.au (pricing is via email.)
  2. one thing to keep in mind ( and that the question wasnt really answered) is the AM band in the usa uses 10 khz spacing - so it goes 530->540. aust uses 9khz spacing meaning 963->972. the FM band width is different also. its only the am side that wont work properly and that depends on how you have the unit set up. most have a switch to set the band spacing. give the manual a read when you get it. pioneer use a key sequence sony have a switch.
  3. I have the change over plugs. it will take the twin pin diveesity antenna and convert it to a std item that plugs into the radio. pm me your address and I'll send it to you. or email me [email protected]
  4. its a clarion unit and by that description the laser is stuffed. lasers ususall cost $150 before someone puts them in. thry olbis or northfiield (nundah ) as the both have service people on site.
  5. mattyb is correct. I solder all mine (until the make a pluging socket for it that is!) around the ecu area.
  6. if its anything like the RSM it is a universal fit ( I sell and fit the apexi electronic products) If you can find a installation manual for it them its a case of finding your car and matching the ECU from there wire away. drop me a line on here (PM) or at [email protected] if you have dramas.
  7. installation depends on the shop and the car.(the quality depends on the shop!!)most of the alarms I sell (mongoose, viper, python, cyclops and quiktrak) start form $390 and go up from there. in the case of quiktrak that one is 2k fitted with one year monitoring. howhow, what model was yours? (curious- I did a customer call to a local autobarn here and was told $500 for a hornet system.) re the brant alarm. I would ring brant direct in your area. (form memory its $1000ish-I haven't got my books in front of me.) for timers all alarms can be wired around them - dont let any shop tell you they cant be. 3 minutes is plenty of time after a HARD run. 1 min is normal for most of the cars I have seen/worked on.
  8. quiktrak is radio based. you are thinking of navtrak. navtrak can be defeated by pulling into a undercover car park. quiktrak you can do this and still find the car. there is a reason most insurance companies reccomend brant..
  9. all of the ones I mentioned use rolling code technology. basically the alarm will slow a professional thief down not stop them. the best alarm can also be the worst and easiest to to disable if not fitted properly- food for thought. I would still use a clublock.
  10. I sell viper also good stuff as well. built more for the US markets tho. revhead (r33gtst -do a search on here) has a hf1500-python that he is very happy with. been fitted to the car for 3 years now and zero probelms.
  11. both of those ( I sell them) dont have the diagrams in public use and in the case of quiktrak no one knows what the unit looks like or where it is fitted in the car. for brant try getting a wiring diagram for them. you can't.
  12. quart will work fine in the front. rears depends on you . I left the stock ones in quite a few.
  13. true. one of those had an external amp in the rear.
  14. fronts are a 6.5" rears are a 6.5" philips 3 ways are a bolt in idea as are the larger pioneer items. the 6" ones require a steel/ wooden plate to fit properly. clarion 6" will also fit and come with teh adapting plate for nissan cars ( the originals are clarion.)
  15. that model I think is sold by strathfield here.
  16. laser is stuffed. most are panasonic made ( matsushita) 90% of the time a SONY item will fit. have fun trying to get that one out. half the dash has to taken apart!
  17. any nissan product from 92 onwards has the same pocket. I do a similar thing to most of the imports I do. the pockets are cheap( less than $28) if you know where to get them. if you are interested pm me.
