  1. if you use the CD audio in then you have no volume control and it will feed directly into the audio stage.
  2. luke, if you can find one look for a XA107. that is sony's aux in box for ANY sony product that has CD controls.
  3. Jaff, I'll take a copy. is it in english?
  4. packy, yes that all that is involved. start on the lower seat and work up from there.
  5. I'll pop a few pics up of some that I have done.
  6. undo the rear lower seat. remove it. find 2-3 10mm bolts on the sides of the upper seat. remove those. grab the seat at the base and push up. it should come out.
  7. they do fit. just need a bit of creativity. glad someone else likes them as well.
  8. adapter uses the rear antenna - the front one isn't used. amp location - NFI. just know theres one in it and it does the rear one. I'll have to show you my version of 'antitheft'stereo... ( if you can find it!)
  9. predator, I'm lazy when it comes to doing that side I will use the std wiring and rewire the other 3 speakers.
  10. depends o the adapter . some of them use both antennas and in your case only one is used. the wire that is taped to the antenna cable is the amp. connect it up to the remote on wire (blu/wht) or pwr ant ( blu) if you have one. the whole concept of nissan diversity is that you have two antennas that pick up the signal and via a bit of creative circuitry in the radio they are combined for better reception. some of the upper end sony units had this as an option and they fitted these cars. ( can't remember which ones though.) let me know if the above helps..
  11. grab a multimeter. you will have a +12 constant and a +12 with the key. the speaker wires are common ground so you will have to run wires to each speaker. use the original mounting bracket from the old radio and use two screws to hold the poineer unit in from the sides. you will have to drill two holes in the bracket. that should get you started - if you have questions post here and I'll answer them.
  12. booster, there is one. did you get the adapter sorted?
  13. EUG, bmw -> VDO Mercedes-> Bosch ( blaupunkt) btw I can help out with what you need in your sig..
  14. Blaupunkt GTX662. plenty on bass and they have treble. $120 a pair. ( I sell them) or the component set GT217x. these are $160 pr and they are awesome! with 25wrms they have lots of bass and a similar amount of treble. have a pair in my van currently. they sound like subs!
  15. if you still have a stock headunit then the brackets are onit. they form part of the mounting brackets for the A/C controls and the storage pocket below the radio. if you have a 2din radio then the pocket is a nissan part from a N14 pulsar.
  16. correct. even if you put a nav cd in it it will say it has a nav cd in it . but it still wont work.
  17. I sell them. $10 . booster it combines the external antenna and the on glass one. its a better way to do things than cutting off the plug and creating a grouind loop ( great for amplifiers -NOT!)
  18. with the ainet in you can buy the cable to set it up as aaux in. QAudio should have it. in regards to screen placement not above the topof the dash. if you need a few ideas on the ps2 setup email me.
  19. infinity is my pick. I used to do a bit of work like that in the mid 90s (I stopped doing custom work.). it is worthwhile and it will yeild sq. the two way splits are (to me marty might have another opinion) a downgrade. do what you are thinking you will like it.
  20. the panels wouldn't need hacking. you would need to find a set of kickpanels to hack up though.
  21. yep could be done. 6'5 in the door 4" & tweeter in the kickpanel. you would have to move the ecu as well.
