    Diff Fitted

my cousin knows the blokes down there. How much will it be to fit a GTR diff? if its easy i can do it myself considering i am a mechanic but doing it on the floor is a bitch of a job.

    Diff Fitted

Just wondering. Where is there to get a diff fitted to a skyline, also do you haveto take out the whole rear end (cradle etc) or can you just drop the centre from underneath the car? Is it a costly job? Thanks. Phill
  4. which of the 2 diffs will fit n my 93 r33 gts-t.. straight fiit?
  5. still got this diff?
  6. My diff is worn, i think my crown and pinion have had it becasue whenever i let go of the accelerator and go back on it, it has a loud bang like its got MASSIVE backlash... How much would it set me back for another set of std skyline crown and pinion gears? Thanks phill
  7. the worst thing is leaning out and then you are in trouble cubes the af's are determined by 11 = rich 20 = lean ?
  8. check for knocking/pinging, Check a/f ratios, where your peak power is. do you have an aftermarket ecu?
  9. 90% of vl turbos have the afm in the intercooler piping. If your fussed about the size of your afm.. Q45 or Z32 is the way.. Alongside a PFC
  10. wouldnt have a clue, i dont know much about advancing timing. I jus know about TDC BTDC BDC BBDC.
  11. like paulr33 said, too much boost made it dump the timing and richen itself up. The plugs were re gapped and pinging and knocking was checked. Ignition timing was advanced to a safe level. Made more power than last time on 11psi. Cant go much more than that or it will do the same thing over again.
  12. its placed where the intake is. The amount of air the turbo is sucking in is sensored by the afm, which the data is given to the ecu. As long as the afm has air passing through it, your car will run fine. Correct me someone if im rong.. A MAP sensor is placed inside or where the inlet manifold is. Manifold Apsolute Pressure.
  13. bump bonnet needs to go..
  14. not a massive change i would think, i made about the same power on same boost with my car. But the intake pipe was different... Its a bit of everything. Wank factor, pipe not sucking itself in etc.
  15. also makes a very nice flutter and when on 11psi comming on boost sounds very... mint
  16. like i said, under heavy/big boost it was sucking its self in, also doesnt help being in such a hot area... the rubber pipe hasnt even got a spring in it to stop it from flexing..
  17. i have a metal intake pipe made by Exhaust Technology. Paid 260 for it. Came up a treat, i find under heavy boost it revs alot quicker and smoother. With the rubber one on it sucked itsself in. If you want i can host pics.

    Mechanic Wanted

great job there. Wish i was qualified no one seems to want an apprentice... Is it common for workshops to take on a 2nd year?
  19. there is a vl with an rb30et running 10s. But you would need the right setup to do that... and there is only a couple of guys that i can think of that do that stuff..
  20. Q45 afm will do the trick wont it? what about the rb30 knock sensors etc? can that be connected with the rb25 loom still?
  21. with the rb30 bottem end and 25 head, are you able to run an apexi power fc? with the rb25 loom?
  22. it was baught for me, my engine caught fire and the last bonnet i had went up. So this bonnet is a replacement for the last one. Wana buy mine?
