u'll probably find that its not the input shaft bearing but actually the counter-shaft centre bearing. did u get bits of bearing race stuck to your drain plug?? been through this 3 times now with 3 different boxes. got it down to 45min changing the box lol. ended up getting heavy duty bearings from CBC bearings. let me know if u want someone to replace the bearings for u i can get it done pretty cheap with the heavy duty bearings.

if you're after someone to tune an rb30det i recommend Graham that used to work at FIST his makes 520hp at the wheels and he knows what he's doing with nissan engines.

ok its just that i'm a pretty good friend of graham and he usually gives me really cheap dyno runs and tuning. let me know what him or craig says and i'll see if i can get it a bit cheaper for you.

how cheap is cheap cause i got a vg30 on my car atm and it works very well apart from a bit of smoke every now and then... its coming off to make way for a bigger and better turbo

my rb20 made 253hp on one dyno then 251hp on another dyno with stock turbo, computer, and 1 bar of boost. it has also run a 13.5 @ 105mph. see it is possible.. i will post up the dyno graphs when i get a chance.

this is weird cause i made 190kw on the standard rb20 turbo on 14psi with standard turbo, injectors, computer, 3 inch exhaust and front mount. wonder wat i'd get with a rb25 turbo or vg30?????

didn't end up gettin it dynoed on my car but i made 250hp at the wheels with the standard turbo and this pulled alot harder than the standard turbo.

ha ha good luck mate these are gettin pretty hard to find. i had this prob last week. try option one they had one for 650 when i was looking

yeah i've got the same sort of mods: stock turbo, front mount, fuel pump boost controller exhaust and i've made 253hp on 13 psi
