  1. I've found that the RE series seems to be the sunken head series with the firing head inside instead of being outside normally, just like the NGK race competition plugs, the race-pro series seems to have a much smaller gap compared to the rest, but i cant tell the differences between the rest of the series yet.

  3. Hi, anyone knows the differences between the different series of the HKS super fire racing plugs? What are the differences in the 5408-s40i(S-i series, ISO standard size), 50003-s40iL(S-iL series, long reach), 5408-s40g(S-G series), 5408-s40x(S-X series), 5408-r40(race pro), 5408-r40i(race pro). All of these are heat range 8. I'm currently using s40i and it works ok, just wondering if i could upgrade to like the 5408-r40i and it would still work as per normal. Car is a GTR32. Any advice would be great.
  4. Hi all, i am looking fer HKS s40i iridium spark plugs for a GTR32. Part number is 5408-S40I. Heat range should be 8. Anyone has them fer sale or know where i can buy them from? Cheers~
  5. Harry, yeah i just caught news of what happened to Cam's car, a big pity and shame to such a wonderfully built machine. I hope everything gets sorted out fer Cam asap. Well i guess the debate of the semislicks were mostly on the kumho V700 or V70a, i personally have used these tyres on the track and Craig from Hornibrook Motorsports, who are the kumho distributors had told me they were semislicks. Anyway, wonderful day for the GTRs, even though i guess a number of us had some problems during the event.
  6. Disappointing day fer me. Car was not boosting properly, only had 1.3bar of boost on the clubman sets and it only got worse as we went into the nationals, with the car only getting 1bar and eventually just 0.7bar on the last set of national. The dunlop dz02g gripped quite alright, and running 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear was not a problem fer the attesa, most of the time that is, except fer the first set on the national when 4wd went off halfway. The revised suspension setup with alignment changes worked much better thru the corners though, especially turn 1. Just wasn't boosting properly. But well, congrats to jetman on winning the AWD shootout! GTR took first n third in race, and took first in street as well i think, so i guess its still a wonderful day fer the skylines! And manz, russell's car is unblivable, so clean so fast. Top job Paul! It was a wonderful event! Hope to be back on the track soon again after i sort out the problems.
  7. Sorry guys, car had boost problems after the AWD shooutout n didnt go over fer drag.
  8. Great the timing seems to be good as the AWD shootout should finish by 5 or thereabouts. See you guys at QR/willowbank tomorrow!
  9. I think my car's more like a pony with cars like russell's and steve's out there. Hmmm Paul, Cam's not coming to this one? Maybe u should post up the edited running list as well. It's been sometime paul, but i'll catcha up tomorrow!
  10. Hankoook Ventus RS2, great bang fer buck. And fer the street, they are fantastic, they even fair generally ok on the track. Forget abt the hankook 104 cuz the rs2 newer and even better. Rough price, my mate just bought a set of 4, 235/45/17, from sydney fer 660. Yes, brand new. Just a quick one on the dunlop direzza dz02g cuz i currently have them on fer an upcoming track event, R compound seems pretty good, heats up fast. The H compound seems to take a bit longer. But grip is generally not too bad so far. However, very expensive when brand new and also i find them very noisy compared to other semis like the a048 and the v70a.
  11. I should be popping over after finishing the AWD shootout at QR in the afternoon. Wot time does test n tune start n end on a wednesday?
  12. coolz ill wait fer details.
  13. The wing's usually not on the car, i only fit it on fer trackdays. The last time i was just too busy (maybe a lil lazy lol) after track day to remove it n kept it on the car fer quite some time. Then one day i just got down to taking it off again. It's going back on next week fer the AWD shooutout though. Yeah the area around my exhaust is absolutely dirty now manz, havent washed the car fer some time due to water restrictions, but will get down to it this weekend... And sheesh they should really smoothen the roads in uni!
  14. Yeah i understand that nobody can give me an accurate piece of advice, i've been mixing octane boosters fer track days in the past and the car certainly seems to run much better cuz the last tune was in japan and it definitely feels like the tune in japan was done on higher octane than 98 after reviewing the dyno graphs here, that's why im thinking of giving the racefuel mix a go. Just wondering if its safe n whether the car will run properly as i've also been adviced that race fuels mixed with BP ultimate is a better alternative to octane boosters as octane boosters are not that good fer the engine. I'm not too inclined with knowledge on racefuels n am just hoping to get some sort of advice.
  15. Thanx FOG35...appreciate yer compliments on the car. Yup frankxinyu it was me in uni this afternoon.
  16. Looks good. I'm in fer this one. Do we lay down a deposit first n full payment nearer to the date or?
  17. If i were to mix 20L of VP109 with 40L of BP ultimate fer a track session, is that advisable? With that combination, what kind of specifications of an ignition system do i need? Or would 20L of VP103 and 40L of BP ultimate be better? I'm running approx. 21-22psi of boost in a rb26 with 34 N1s. I've got a pretty rich tune at the moment too.
  18. anyone who has used race fuels before with any advice?
  19. Is it a big open area or? Can i have details PMed to me? Kindda interested. Cheers~
  20. Hi, I am looking at 2 kinds of race fuels, namely VP MSC100 and VP Motorsport 109. Anyone used them before with any inputs? I have spoken to The Brock Shop who have done dyno testing on race fuels and they suggested to me that the VP MSC100 burns better, is more oxygenated n churned out more power on the dyno than the 109 although the 109 has a higher octane level. They have also adviced that the MSC100 protects better than the VP109. Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Jyo.
  21. Might come out fer a run~It's only the sprint or sprint + clubman? Cost of entry for the day?
  22. Hi, i'm wondering if anyone else might be going fer a drag on march 28th at willowbank? Thinking of popping over from QR after the track session in the afternoon.
  23. Hi, anyone knows of any self-serve car wash bays near bowen hills or newstead or around this area? Looking fer somewhere to get some recycled water to wash the car.
