  1. Aw another nice car taken from it's Victorian home ! well done mate it looks a neat ride...have fun
  2. Could it also be the reason those sensational looking girls next to MissR34's car look so happy ?
  3. Yeah crud, obvious lack of a diff in the ass end....the torque lift on take off and changes is pure fwd, lazy edit on the bonnet lift/reveal. But...it could be done...like a v8 mini the back seat would have to become the front, firewall moved back, a full chassis put under it and ofcourse a diff would help. But you might as well build something nice if you're going to go that far. All in all I say meh.

    Cats

Mmm...cats don't like panadol thats true, reason being their kidneys can't cope with it. High doses will put a cat into a coma and eventually kill it... or if it doesnt die it will give it irreversable kidney damage. Warfarin is good in the respect that it leaves a rellatively odourless corpse incase it crawls under the house or similar to die. Not nearly as much fun as pepper and well placed rubber snakes though

    Cats

You're welcome.... I had a cat lady up the road a few years back, 50+ cats, they used to spray my doormat and use my lawn as a sand box........now even the cat nxt door stays away, You'll need a fair amount of pepper (makes grooming ect uncomfortable) the snakes are the best bit, if you see one spot one of your snakes you'll have a laugh. I previously tried the commercial cat off ect with no luck.

Rubber snakes and lots of pepper where they sleep.......sprinkle the pepper daily, you should only need the pepper for 2-3 weeks. Place snakes in life like positions near where the cats, piss-sleep so they'll be able to spot them from your cars, veranda ect.. I learnt this from a bit of lateral thinking and trial and error.... it works a treat.
  7. Yep the xr6t's go hard, plenty of kw in stock form and they're an absolute torque monster....so a whale it aint. They'll eat up stock for stock any gts-t or gtt... dunno re: the gtr 32,33,34 the extra grip might get it over the line but it may not..
  8. S15 is a great car.... For a hair dresser Does that cover it?
  9. 20"s are only cool when they're chrome with spinning centres and plenty of neons to set the whole mobile disco ball effect off. Everytime you stop the crowds will gather to yell woot woot!! then the party will commence.
  10. If your dipstick has blown out you have compression in your sump.......meaning your piston rings are not doing what they should. Start the car have someone rev it for you, put a finger over the dipstick tube if you feel pressure it's as sure as your ass points to the ground it's rebuild time.
  11. Bastards...hope you find it. You've probably already done this, but did you check to see if vicroads didn't have it towed? council depot ect?
  12. Parents lost the legal right to discipline their children with anything more than a stern voice and a wagging finger years ago. Give them the backhander they deserve and odds are the little shits or some do-gooder would report it leaving you with an assault charge. It's a shit law and it really is detrimental to their development as you said, it's one of the building blocks towards knowing right from wrong - action-consequence ect. p.s don't tell me Googleye Googaleyedian doesn't chuck he's throwing darts!!! darts I say

  15. Trade tarriffs, to protect our local car industry and it will most probably be hit with the luxury car tax.

  17. But, but...but Multi-cultural societies work, they do, they're beautiful happy places....i'm sure they are. Atleast I did hear someone say that once a long time ago...so it must be true right? Way too much us and them, It's a social and cultural problem that is enabled and expanded by the media.. from light entertainment, movies and news. Restricting the level of American content would be a help. Lots of people simply reflect what they see and hear everyday on the tv ect.. It's a pretty poor example of how to live a good life. Shit they even show sitcoms about drug dealers now. What a joke.
  18. I've had the same thing, underload with low revs vibration in a few cars over the years...did you check your uni's yet? It's generally the cause.
  19. Yeah only good for forced induction, If you also built a ramflow or fan to draw the air through the system it would be a benefit, but that kind of setup would still work better without the ic restricting flow. Fresh air will always be cooler than anything that goes through an ic. Unless ofcourse it's a dry ice setup obviously.

Am I being overly sensitive to the bastardisation of our language and culture or does anyone else cringe at the increasing use of american terms for car parts on this and other Australian car forums? Guards are now fenders Side mirrors have become wing mirrors Petrol/fuel is gas A fuel tank has morphed into a gas tank Bonnets are hoods and Boots are trunks, the list goes on... I can understand if you learnt english from b grade cable television movies.....but seriously WTF is going on here?
  22. Nope it's like puting a chev in a phase 3... Or the millions of cheap assed rodders that put chevs into classic Henrys. Somethings just shouldnt be done, like sleeping with a cousin, drinking warm beer ect ect
  23. Actually Zorb is correct, differing tread patterns, differing dimensions like 17" on the front and 15" on the back is illegal, also changing the track (measured from the centre of each tyre) is also illegal. Cars from the factory with different width rims front and back are designed that way using the correct offset ect which maintains the track from front to rear......simple Not quite the same as 17-215-60's on the front and 15-195-70's with different tread patterns on the back, just the difference in tyre sidewall flex should tell you something. I enjoy your enthusiasm..........but you're incorrect. Maybe you're getting rim width and diameter confused.
  24. Good posts Saff_Cossie & Leewah.. Imformative and unbiased. It's a very frustrating alright, even the current (untenable) restrictions aren't policed properly. If the governing bodies were entirely serious about this issue they put in place legislation to make policing these problems easier. First make it impossible/illegal for anyone on a restricted licence to register any vehicle outside of the guidelines, I would think this would be easy considering vicroads ect are a government agency. Second make it illegal for insurance companies to insure a vehicle if the owner/driver cant legally drive it. Third make it illegal for any car yard to sell cars that fall outside of the guidelines to restricted licence holders. A few hefty fines to motor dealers and insurers would stop them breaching any new laws. I doesn't help with the current situation re : 3.8ltr Falcodores ect as Saff_Cossie said...but atleast they could police what's in place more efficiently to start. I'm 100% behind the U.K model...it's simple and it works.
  25. I'd use 2 or 3 layers to be safe.
