As above I doubt you'll get one anywhere, modern cars are a monocoque design...meaning every part of the shell contributes to it's structural integrity, with built in crumple zones to lessen the effects of any impact on it's passengers. Unlike older cars which had a full chassis. Sounds over the top but that's how an engineer would view your modification to the inner guard. The advise to return it to stock is sound advise, even better would be to get a car that's within the guidelines of your licensing restriction. You might not have even got pulled in a 32.

Tragic sad story, poor families. I believe they were returning from a memorial service on the peninsula for that kid who drowned last week? (another who had no idea & jumped in anyway) Makes that (assumed) kind of behaviour even more difficult to comprehend..why? It's odd the calls for stricter licensing laws ie: passenger restrictions, power restrictions and even the Bikers worst enemy cable barricades are all being bandied around by the relatives and motoring bodies. Maybe better parenting would have been a good start...it's all easy to say in hindsight Maybe the U.K model of power restrictions has some merit, it's been proven time and time again that you can't change attitudes or behaviour (put old heads on young shoulders) so maybe it is time to limit this kind of crap the only way possible.

Try stretching it over the box then putting the lid on, I can't see any reason for building a frame. I've no idea how effective the stocking would be, I suppose it's all down to the thread count or microns or however they rate the stuff.

So you say 5kph over or 160kph over the limit in principle there is no difference? You fellas must come from the same gene pool.....cousins? Andz you're as big a goose as the other goose. Do the laws of physics ring a bell? Ummmm.... maybe his stopping distance was increased but only slightly hey?...Ummmm.... But nobody was around it was a safe place to do it....how'd he get caught? If he'd hit a cat at that speed he'd be dead. Friggin pathetic, the moron was very lucky this time around. Dear goose aka statistic, Go cry to mumma, I'm sure she can empathise with your stupidity. Also have fun walking I sincerely hope the fresh air is benificial to your growth as a human being. As a suggestion you might want to ask a Father/uncle or adult male in your life to bury his foot up your backside, they'd be doing you a genuine favour.

If anyone on this forum still can't understand why our licencing laws are getting stricter or fines, defects and as some would call it harrassment are getting worse. Heres your shining example why.....not only by his actions but attitude, the only sad thing in this story of idiocrascy is he's not alone.

Excuse it up....Goose Yeah everyone has given it the odd squirt, but 260 aint a squirt. Who cares where he was, when ect..keep doing that kind of crap and see where it gets you. I could go into a million reasons not to....but in the spirit of the Darwin awards I encourage you to continue. After all in the end you'll be doing mankind a favour. Goose/the sphincter of the universe pick any odd bird you like. gtr...weeeee...gtr

He means the outside body of the coil pack, the spark will show (arc) through any cracks in the outer cover. So instead of a good strong spark getting to the plug, some or all may divert through these hairline cracks, causing ignition breakdown.

I can see you've learnt a valuable lesson and show great promise for your future. lol....that was sarcasm.......Lollies? The only bigger goose in this stupid story is the judge...260kph on a public road, you should be in prison, no car, no licence permanant! IQ and maturity tests should be mandatory for licencing, then again there are some very responsibly simpletons ....but ofcourse I forget GTR ownership should over ride all teh laws ob teh land, unt sea, unt air. I sincerely hope you also get done for not wearing a helmet on your bicycle in the near future. Disgraceful!

Shit so you mean they're not really going to transport it directly to my door like they said? Damn I thought delivery was taking awhile.

The humble 1600 is a must mention in any top 10 of nissans for so many reasons. They really made nissan in the west...everywhere really. Great little car.

Hopefully it'll end in kids learning a lesson first time around instead of continually flaunting the law, disfiguring roads, keeping working people awake @ all hours and most importantly it might stop one or two from wrapping themselves around a pole or similar.

Mmmm.. what to do? Get cold beer, make salad, boil pot of water... I think your right re: someones pet, unless you live near a dam..still they don't like to wander too far. My advice don't get to attached to the little fella they're great pets but extremely stinky and high maintenance if kept in a tank.

Definately sounds like it's dropping a cylinder, as suggested many times already try the electrical side of things first, could also be a dirty injector gumming up when it hits optimum operating temp. failing all of those do a quick compression test on all cylinders when you're checking your coilpacks ect and obiously the condition of the new plugs after a few k's... are they all burning clean, same color ect.
-
They'll last till........dunno I've never seen one rot or rust away, moths might be a problem if you were in syndey for spring As long as the cotton has no damage holes ect it shouldnt be a prob. You can also wash them with warm soapy water , then blow off excess water or sit it in the sun till it's dry and it's like new.

It's another all too familiar tale.....very sad. Poor kid's family. Maybe your next inclass debate/discussion could be how the 1950/60's australian model of a multi-cultultural society has evolved into this gangland/ghetto we now call home. A stronger effort toward assimilation might have worked...less differences to cause division ect. A lot less americanization of our culture ..tv/food/clothes. Wiggers with attitude, we could do without them all. Far too many us and them attitudes in Aust 07

Some Ppl Wonder Why There Cars Get Stolen...
madbung replied to sinistaGTR's topic in South Australia
I saw that in a movie too. modern cars don't use cast lugs as steering locks, they have hardened steel pins doing the job. irl it's more common to have the earth lead of your alarm ripped and ignition punched with a large screwdriver. Still as everyone knows the more visual deterrents, alarm.led, sticker on drivers side window and a big clublock.. the less likely your car will be picked. -
Could squeeze it in the back shed...maybe Do you have current pics with all the work you said was in the process of being done completed? It's a nice time of year for a trip to the apple ilse. PM me if you'd prefer to email the pics.

Heres a hint, try any of the car importers in town. A lot of their stock comes into the country with good quality aftermarket exhausts, these exhaust are of no real value to them as they need stock systems to comply their cars. What they do need is stock systems like yours..aproach one nicely and do a deal, it should work out cheaper by a good $ or 2. I found a huge genuine nismo cat back and a titanium dump for mine some years back. I've since changed the dump to a split. I think it cost me around $350 at the time fitted.
