  1. why go all the way to sydney? why not just brisbane!? i'm sure there are plenty of people who could tune your car here in brisbane.... just a thought...
  2. clock sprin, is what allows you to turn the wheel several times and still have power to your horn etc, picture a mozzie coil type peice of wire behind your steering wheel... in rough terms. That is probably what the problem is...
  3. i just like they way they look.. i'm not a fan of small round ones etc..
  4. hey mate, not sure if you have the same gauges as me but if the are the link meter BF series they are supposed to be blacked out when off, also the controller looks alot different to mine! just wondering.
  5. I was just wondering if you guys could give me a list of bodykits or front bars should i say that retain the factory indicators (series 1)... that would be good. i'm just interested to see if there are many out there if any at all... cheers.
  6. yeah like everyone else has said. i have known of one of those turbo's destroying itself on the test bench before even being fitted! only to be replaced wih one slightly better that also eventually let go.... with most things to do with performance modifications you get what you pay for, i know there are exceptions but as a general rule ridiculously cheap = crap.
  7. yeah better watch out for those manifold studs in the block. lol
  8. sorry this might not be the right place and it might have been covered already but i am just too amazed to care about that right now!! what is the go with this?? why would apexi discontinue only rb25 and i think rb20 power fc's?? does that shit me or what!!! all i can say is they better be bringing something better out!! and also does anyone know anywhere where i could still lay my filthy paws on one? nengun and greenline have already stopped. thanks guys. your thoughts would be appreciated!
  9. like the title says, the 33 is getting a bit slow on te crank... what size battery do they run?? (R33GTS-T) any help would be awesome.
  10. hey all, I Tried a search on this but didn't come up with much! I was just wondering where i can get a hold of hard induction piping? (from AFM to Turbo) apart from custom job i was hoping you guys could give me a few manufacturers who do this type of thing ready to bolt up! cheers Evan.
  11. my car did the same thing when i had a cracked plug. It would miss badly at full throttle from 4500 up, but accelerate through this point at lesser throttle opening and it would be fine. weird, but an ignition problem it was! hope that helps.
  12. whoa, hold up the love boat, if you just popped your spark plug changing cherry, i would go back and remove the plugs, there is a very real chance you may have cracked a plug. they can be quite delicate. also double check the gaps. i have experienced this with even a well known "performance" shop (bob romano's) having cracked a plug in my 25 for me to discover. it's not hard to do even if you are experienced!!!
  13. yep that saying definatley rings true here, you get what you pay for. One of my mates had one of these kind of chinese turbos fail on the test bench! never made it near the car! But now that we have all slagged them off your mates might go onto lead a healthy life! but i doubt it!
  14. 700 dollars for a stock front bumper? is this what they are worth or what? seems alot
  15. mate you'll have to jack it up and get underneath.. you won't get to all of them from up top. word to the wise use an absolute s*** loads of crc or WD40 on the bolts you will snap one if you aren't careful...
  16. unfortunatley they are probably right! you can't prove that the tyre wasn't damaged when it was put on the rim, i have personally put cuts in beads of tyres attempting to get them on rims and they have still inflated and been fine, so unless you saw them damage it....
  17. dude check out: www.plazmaman.com.au a mate just installed one of their plenum and piping kits for RB25, one of the best looking product i've seen.
  18. when we have heater core leaks at work, they generally try and just dry the carpet first! hot air gun and a bit bit of deodouriser for example... it's alot easier than replacing the carpet especially if you have just had the pleasure of removing the dash! i'd say dry it and see how it goes... should be sweet!
  19. God damn everyone fire right up. Just be happy for the guy and don't be jealous. the dyno charts are there he's not telling stories... everyone is quick to jump on the attack when someone is just trying to share their experiences... just accept it and move on... everyone talks shit like they know. ie the last post... but the charts are there so accept it and move on.
  20. hey. interested in front bumper as mine has hole in it ! if you decide to break it up....? cheers
  21. I like many others have had the annoyance of a missfire at 4-5000 rpm. After looking at various threads on this forum i removed my coils and due to signs of arcing to the rocker covers taped the s*** out of them, and since before i bought the car the 100 000k service had just been carried out and new plugs had been put in then i asssumed they were ok! Bad mistake. when problem persisted i decided to check my plug gaps.. upon the removal of number one plug the porcalain insulation was broken into three peices. thanks bob romano performance motors! i replaced the plugs and now car drives like a dream!! just goes to show the movie quote is true: Assumption is the mother of ALL F*** up's.
  22. DIY seat rails = non adr complaint seat of death!
  23. Hey mate.. If you still have the standard Gt-t 17'rims how much would you let them go for? Sorry not the enquiry you were looking for probably! cheers Evan
  24. A mate of mine has spun 200kW at the wheels on stock internals, stock head, stock turbo, stock injectors!! 300kW is not 15,000 bucks away! p.s his mods are: the usual turbo back exhaust air filter etc. front mount (using standard piping arrangement) bleed valve, Power FC, fuel pump and a F***ing good tune. and that's what it's all about. DYNO time. it is worth the money you pay for a good tune. with those mods + a HKS GTRS, and injectors it's not gonna be too far shy of that 300kW mark. 15 grand? i don't think so!
  25. hey mate. High performace coatings do a treatment called 'HiPerCoat extreme' it is black. what you could do is get your exhaust custom made (raw/un polished) and get it coated... check out: www.hpcoatings.com.au/pages/hiperext.htm plus all the advantages their coatinngs offer. Evan. p.s prepare to pay the price for this coating though.
