Already got one of these for each motor i've got and i'm starting to get the parts together for an ultima canam which is LS powered so its just not needed.

Just to help you and others as these are large items; You google "sydney to melbourne transport" (change cities of course), then about 20 results will come up that look decent most times, call the top 5 and say what you've got to send. They will want height, width, depth and weight. Tell them your address for collection, and the delivery address, then make sure you say "no rush they dont have to be overnight", then they will give you a price. Then ask if thats the best they can do as you're about to call 4 other companies and the lowest gets the work so whats their final price. I used one place a while back who even offered a boxing service so i just gave them the parts, they did literally everything else. They sent a van to my house, picked up everything, that went to their warehouse, items were all boxed (buyer commented they were wrapped like fort knox), put on the truck, delivered in person to the buyers door 2 states away for something like $148 from memory. Easy!

Where do you live? A good way is to ask people locally to take you for a drive in different setups so you can really feel what its like
-
Yeah this will be a good thread! Heaps of people have tried heaps of different setups and will have different things to say. Ive got a 3L and GTRS's with 270's and changing to 260's to bring the power on a bit earlier

Did the same thing with my stock RB26 turbos ages ago. Laggy sh!tbox turbos. Trackdays, national park runs, hillclimbs - no dramas. If I were you I wouldnt do it though - id buy something new and not have to worry "will it blow up today" unless you have the cash to not care

Are There Any Private Run Ways For Hire Anywhere?
N1GTR replied to conan7772's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Id love to know where the organisers get their insurance from -
This comment made my night Jack, here you go, some old turbo sheets attached. 35R is hard to rate HP wise with so many options available for it, for example ive got one with a 66mm front fan (for supra). I agree with your points 100%, but since talking to the racepace guys and seeing their results I dont really pay much attention to ratings anymore

Hey Joel, Have you sent in forms? Its filling very fast At the next one we will have instructors to help out people who want to improve on that relationship between handbrake and first Still on if it rains, that just makes things more interesting Duncan will have to confirm.....Duncan?

Hey everyone! Texi is on Jan 31st, and like always we need helpers on the day to do things like timing, end gates, "3 2 1 GO!", marshalling etc - basically all the things you saw myself and the legends who helped out last time doing None of the jobs are hard at all, its an easy way to get up close to the action. A couple of people have already offered to help out, who did so without knowing there would be payment; What legends! (and yes, they'll be paid now) I do need helpers onsite from 830am until event ends which should be 445pm. There will be a lunch break around 1230pm while the courses are changed to the afternoon courses Lunch and drinks will be provided free throughout the day. Yes you can choose what job to do, here's each one; - "3 2 1, GO!" Counting down the time so drivers know when to start their runs. Very simple, just need a loud voice and 3 fingers to hold up - "Timer" Timing each run and writing down the end time on a form provided. Also if someone goes a wrong direction or hits a cone, taking note of that. - "Marshall" Ensuring the flow of cars onto and off the track stays smooth. Its basically a traffic controller job, making sure the entry to the skidpan (single lane) doesnt have a traffic jam and that the next car is ready to have their run. Common sense really! - "End gate" An official who mans the end gate of a course, reports if an entrant hit a cone, and once the entrant has come to a complete stop will move a single cone out of the way for the entrant to move to next course I need; 2xtimers 1xmarshall 1xend gate 1x3 2 1 GO So far the following have offered (sorry if someone offered and i missed it); MsNismo (Timing) Xmetal BezerkR32 So we need a few more - who can help out and earn some coin for the day?

Hows the car looking...are you entering or helping?
-
He is, there is also a 3.5L kit in testing but not by spool. 2010 is going to be a good year for people builing Rb30's. While on the topic of nice sounding RB20's, here's a personal fav;
-
Yes, but i STRONGLY advise against it. It takes up an officials time during signon and their time is precious so maybe do it this week ? About to do that Yes thats fine, bring that with you

It was a huge choice between 260 270 and 280s. Doing it again I'd go 260s, the 270s are great but if the power was a tad earlier that would be nice. Reving it to 9000rpm feels great with nice even power and torque delivery which means it's easy to drive quickly. The closest car I've driven power delivery wise is a 997 GT3, there is no big boost hit like a laggy single for example. Yep, i'm very happy with it, 260 cams would just finish it off Also, it's GTRS's not -10's
-
Pull it down and build it to between 8.5 and 9.0:1 everything else you've got is fine and does not need to be changed. I know it's an effort, but it's the solution to your problem. Also, don't believe a 30 won't rev. There's plenty doing 9000rpm without issue, but stick to 8000 cause allthat revving is just extra wear and tear
-
7:1? Are you sure? If that's correct, do what you can to change that instead of cam and turbo changes
