Without trying to be rude, i'm going to assume you havnt driven one by that comment.
I've been fortunate enough to put a significant amount of k's on one, and nothing about it except the front lip (no worse than my GTR) was unbearable or impractical on any account.
The clutch isnt heavy, the AC works well, has power accessories, more than enough space to put things (i carried a huge painting around in the back of it for a few days), fuel consumption isnt bad, ride height was fine on all roads i went on, very easy in stop start traffic, doesnt get unwanted attention from police, can be parked in shopping centre car park spaces without worries etc.....
The GT3 is an amazing car. The only thing I think it needs is a louder exhaust and a bit more power, which i'm sure GT2 owners have plenty of.
My best mate has the current model Boxster S, he ordered it new as soon as they were released. The GT3 is easier to live with than his Boxster.
Once I finish the GTR and the ultima, a series one 997 GT3 will be next in this garage
